Chapter 254 Darian Got Beaten Up
She pursed her lips and hid the bitterness in her eyes. "Darian."
She gave him a gentle push.
Darian looked up, his eyes full of heaviness as he looked at her.
Cecily had a serious expression in her eyes. "Did you take laxatives?"
"What are you talking about?" Darian looked at her in confusion.
"Your voice sounds a bit hoarse." Cecily's voice was also serious.
Darian froze. She suddenly captured his continuously sinking emotions, and he wasn't as unhappy anymore. Darian looked at Cecily helplessly. "Laxatives? Is your stomach uncomfortable?"
"Did I guess right?"
Darian bit his lip, adjusting his emotions. "I was blind to not fall in love with you before."
In this atmosphere, Cecily admired his courage for being able to ask that question.
Actually, she understood what he meant, but she didn't want to bring up that matter again and again.
Even if a wound has healed for a long time, it still hurts when it's reopened.
She no longer wanted to hurt, so she covered it up with a joke.
She didn't mention it, but Darian felt a dense pain in his heart, making him feel uncomfortable.
Darian wanted to ask for her forgiveness, but how could she forgive such a hurt? His plea was shameless. He couldn't do anything except make amends, continuously make amends, and make up for it with every passing day.
"Knock knock," came the sound of two knocks on the door.
"Who is it?" Cecily thought about walking over to turn on the light. It was so dark that both of them felt oppressed talking in the dark.
"It's me, Cecily," Larkin's voice.
Cecily completely forgot that she was still wearing her sexy pajamas and opened the light without a care.
The light came on, Darian lifted his eyes and saw the figure in front of him, his breath caught.
Cecily had a great figure, the sexy lace fabric barely wrapped around her curvaceous body, her waist slim, and her legs long and straight.
Darian's Adam's apple rolled up and down. His gaze locked tightly onto Cecily in front of him. Just one glance was enough to make one's blood surge.
Cecily paused in her movements, took a deep breath, and only then remembered what she was wearing. She instinctively turned around and met the increasingly deep gaze behind her.
The man's eyes held a hint of a smile. "Who gave you that outfit?"
Cecily didn't have the intention to answer him. A blush spread across her cheeks, and she quickly picked up the long coat that she had taken off in the bathroom and put it on.
"Kiera was afraid I didn't have any pajamas to wear. She only had this new set of pajamas, so she gave it to me."
Cecily hurriedly explained a few sentences. Her mind was a bit muddled.
Darian's face appeared perfectly calm, but inside, his rogue nature was stirring.
There was always something magical about Cecily that attracted him to want to play tricks on her.
Thinking about it, even Darian found it funny.
No wonder she scolded him as a rogue every day.
Indeed!
Larkin stood at the door, waiting for someone to open it for a while before knocking again.
Cecily walked over and opened the door. "Skye."
"Cecily, is Boss here with you?"
"He is."
Larkin nodded. "That's good. This is a first aid kit. Can you help Boss apply some medicine?"
"Is he injured?" Cecily's expression grew slightly anxious.
"Yes, Boss was. " He paused for a moment. If you want to know, you should ask him yourself. I'll leave it to you then, Cecily."
After speaking, Larkin politely closed the door and left.
Cecily held the first aid kit and turned to look at Darian. "You're injured?"
"Just a little." Darian's tone was indifferent as if it didn't matter at all.
Cecily walked over, put down the first aid kit, and took out the medicine inside while asking, "Where are you injured?"
"You want to apply the medicine for me?"
Cecily extended her hand. "I already have the medicine in my hand. Why not?"
Darian glanced at the medicine in her hand and reached out to take it. "I'll do it myself," he said.
Cecily didn't argue with him and asked, "Where are you injured? Can you handle it yourself?"
Darian chuckled lightly. "Are you worried about me?"
"I'm just politely concerned," Cecily said, her gaze scanning him, trying to figure out where he was injured.
Judging by Larkin's expression just now, the injury was likely not minor. However, there was no sign of pain on Darian's face except for a slightly hollow voice earlier.
"Here's where I'm injured. Do you want to take a look?" Darian sat on the couch, legs spread naturally.
Cecily's face stiffened, trying to determine if he was telling the truth. "Really?"
Darian laughed lightly and stood up, patting her head. "I was just teasing you. Go to sleep first."
He took the medicine and entered the bathroom.
Cecily heard the bathroom door close and the sound of clothes being removed inside. She didn't pay any more attention to it, walking over to pour herself a glass of water.
After seven or eight minutes, Cecily didn't see the person inside coming out. She walked up and hesitated for two seconds at the door before gently pushing it open a crack.
"Cecily, do you want to be a hooligan too?" a voice from inside rang out.
Being discovered, Cecily no longer hesitated and simply pushed the door open. She saw the broad back of a man with several purple marks on it as if they were whip marks.
Cecily instinctively covered her mouth. The man turned around, and there were also two marks on his chest.
It was quite shocking to look at.
"Still looking?" Darian picked up the shirt next to him and was about to put it on, but Cecily stopped him.
"Did Mr. Fitzgerald do this to you?"
There weren't many people who could beat Darian, and Darian's actions today undoubtedly angered Mr. Fitzgerald. The injuries were most likely a punishment from Mr. Fitzgerald.
The punishment was not light. Mr. Fitzgerald cared about his grandson, but this time, he was obviously very angry.
"Yes," Darian replied.
Cecily's eyelashes trembled. "Was it worth it?"
"I deserved it."
Compared to the harm he had suffered before, these injuries were nothing.
Cecily withdrew her hand and took the medicine from his hand. She silently brought a chair over. "Sit down, it's too high, I'm tired from wiping."
Darian obediently sat down, and Cecily poured the medicine into her palm. She rubbed her hands together and then pressed her palm against his shoulder, gently massaging it.
Whether it was treating him or applying the medicine, Cecily was silent, and her movements were delicate.
Darian had been in pain, but he didn't feel it at this moment. Instead, he felt that the beating was quite worth it.
Cecily raised her head and looked at the handsome face reflected in the mirror, the broad and strong chest, and the well-proportioned muscles.
As Cecily looked at him, she noticed that Darian's gaze was also on her.
Noticing the silence, Cecily felt a bit awkward, so she found a topic, coincidentally something she wanted to talk to him about in the morning.
"Do you remember the person I told you about last night, the one who saved me?"
"I remember."
"He said that this other 'Cecily' wants to replace me, replace everything about me. He also said that I am very wealthy, which is why someone is targeting me. I still haven't figured out what's going on."
