Chapter 252 Darian Takes on All the Hurt for Cecily
"Cecily, I feel a bit uncomfortable. Can you help me?" Cecily looked up at the man's handsome face, which was so close to her own. As Cecily hesitated over his request for help, the man grabbed her hand and placed it on a certain part of his anatomy. Cecily instantly widened her eyes.
Darian silently brushed her hair, his fingers sliding through her locks as he gently kissed her lowered head. Over half an hour later, Cecily was finally released from the bathroom, her freshly dried hair now wet again.
Darian followed suit and walked out, now dressed in a suit. He had a cold and elegant demeanor, the image of a debonair gentleman. There was no trace of the ruffian who had pressed her hand in the bathroom, forcing her to satisfy his physical needs!
Although this suit did not have the same quality as his usual attire, it still looked sharp and stylish on him. Cecily glanced at him and thought to herself, "Putting on airs!" She turned her head away and began drying her hair with a blow dryer.
Seeing Cecily's appearance as if she wanted to punch him in the next second, Darian felt a slight urge to laugh. He walked over and took the blow dryer from her hand. "Don't move, I have hands, I can do it myself."
"Aren't you tired just now?" Cecily turned her head, glared at him, and smacked his hand.
Darian wasn't annoyed and gently blow-dried her hair while petting her fur. Then he started speaking seriously, "You can stay at this hotel for two days."
Cecily frowned immediately, "Why?" Was he not planning to take her back?
"Can you wait for me to finish something, and then I'll come pick you up?" "The scenery here is also nice. You can go for a walk and take your mind off things," Darian persuaded patiently.
"You don't need to worry about the child. They are already at Fitzgerald's Family and very safe. As for your company, your best friend is there and can handle it. I'll send someone to assist her."
Cecily listened in silence and then asked, "Is this situation very serious for me?"
Darian seemed to recall something and nonchalantly continued drying her hair. "It's not that serious, leave it to me."
"If you can't find that person, you won't be able to resolve it. There's no evidence."
Cecily was not naive and had a rough idea about the situation. She wasn't the type of person to back down when faced with something, nor did she like to hide and leave it for others to handle. "I'm going back," she said.
"Listen to me," Darian patiently coaxed her. "Why should I listen to you?" Cecily brushed off his hand, stood up, and grabbed her clothes to change into the bathroom.
Darian watched Cecily's figure as she walked away, smiled helplessly, and his gaze fell on the medicine box nearby. Was this medicine box something she had asked the boss for? Did she intend to treat his wound?
Darian finally remembered the wound on his arm, pursed his lips, and his eyes showed a hint of amusement. By the time Cecily came out after changing her clothes, Darian was nowhere to be found in the room.
Cecily had a sense of unease. She immediately ran out and saw several of his bodyguards guarding the door. Cecily ran downstairs. The car downstairs was gone!
The boss saw her rushing downstairs and pressed the calculator in his hand, saying to her, "Miss, are you looking for your husband?"
"Where is he?"
"He left."
"Left?"
"Yes, he told us to take good care of you. Oh, my wife made breakfast for you. Come and eat quickly." The boss had a kind and friendly appearance. He put down the calculator and invited Cecily to sit at the table next to him.
Cecily frowned. Darian! He didn't even discuss it with her, he just informed her and left her here alone. Cecily furrowed her brows tightly.
The boss and his wife brought breakfast over. His wife warmly invited Cecily, "Miss, come and have breakfast." The boss also happily said to himself, "My wife doesn't usually cook, but today, because of you, I can enjoy good food." Darian paid them a large sum of money, enough for their annual income. Naturally, the boss and his wife were happy.
Cecily looked outside and asked the boss, "Can I borrow your car?"
"I don't have a car right now."
"What about your car?" Cecily clearly saw a car parked next to it when she arrived.
"Your husband bought it."
Cecily felt speechless. Darian! Suddenly, Cecily felt lost.
Kiera came over and pulled her, saying, "Come, see if this suits your taste." Cecily was pulled over, and her mind wandered. When she was brought here, she was awake. She knew that this place was probably far from Stellaris Bay. There was no transportation here, she couldn't go back, and she didn't know how to get there.
Cecily resignedly picked up a hamburger and started eating.
"Boss, do you have a cellphone?"
"Your husband bought you," Cecily didn't know what else to say.
After lunch, Cecily sat outside wearing sunglasses and sunbathing.
The hotel owner and his wife had been giving her strange looks since they started eating. Cecily had noticed this sign.
The couple couldn't hide their curiosity and couldn't help but approach her after a while, asking, "Miss, are you a fugitive?"
Cecily choked on her water while drinking.
"I am a fugitive?"
Kiera nodded and pulled Cecily inside, pointing to the news on TV. "See for yourself."
Cecily looked at the news playing on TV and squinted her eyes.
The tall and stern man on TV was Darian, the same man who had left her behind. At the moment, he was facing a group of reporters expressionlessly.
Reporters kept asking him, "Mr. Fitzgerald, you vouched for Cecily. What is your relationship with her?"
"Mr. Fitzgerald, do you know that Miss Cecily is the main culprit who stabbed your mother? By vouching for the culprit, would that mean you are disloyal to your mother?"
"Mr. Fitzgerald, you say you believe her. Does that mean you don't believe what your mother said?"
These reporters seemed genuinely angry or perhaps influenced by someone. They had support, and every question was sharp.
Darian, who had remained silent, lifted his gaze and looked at the reporter. His thin lips parted slightly as he coldly said, "Can you guarantee that everything you see is true?"
The reporter paused.
Darian continued, "There are hidden details in this matter. I believe her."
The hotel owner and his wife exclaimed in admiration, and his wife spoke up, "Miss, your husband is indeed a real man. By doing this, he has taken all the blame for you."
Cecily pursed her lips.
No wonder she wasn't allowed to go back to Stellaris Bay.
The spread of this incident was more serious than she had expected.
With Sandra's confession and fingerprints on the knife, the police had listed her as a suspect and were pursuing her.
Darian applied for bail and offered himself as the guarantor.
Was he binding himself to her?
Sandra was his mother, and she was the suspect who harmed his mother. Yet, Darian vouched for her. It was clear how much pressure he took on by doing this when everyone else considered her the culprit.
Not only did he face pressure from Sandra and Mr. Fitzgerald's side, but also public pressure.
