Chapter 281 Investigation and Search
"What makes you think you can say that to me?" Cecily found it somewhat amusing. All five of the Watson family, including the one who had gotten plastic surgery, spoke in similar tones. No wonder they were family.
Elysia bit her lip and glared fiercely at Cecily. "I'm warning you out of goodwill."
The coffee cup was placed heavily on the table by Cecily, making a dull sound.
Seeing that Cecily had no intention of drinking the coffee, the servant standing by grew anxious.
Elysia knew Cecily was deep-minded. She had suffered too many losses at her hands before, so she was wary.
"Is it a kind warning or are you afraid that your half-sister will be exposed, leading to your whole family being kicked out of the Bennett family? Are you so eager to drive me away so that your family can take over the entire Bennett family?" Cecily hit the nail on the head, and Elysia, not as clever as Eliza, couldn't keep her composure. "Shut up! You're the impostor, not me."
With that, she became angry and reached out, attempting to grab the teapot on the table and pour it on Cecily.
But how could Cecily let her succeed? When Elysia reached out, Cecily saw through her intention. She grabbed the teapot with one hand and held Elysia's wrist with the other.
The next moment, Elysia felt a warm sensation on her face as the pot of coffee was poured over her.
Elysia was immediately stunned and couldn't react for a moment.
It wasn't until Cecily put down the teapot with a clatter that Elysia snapped back to reality in a sorry state.
"Ah!" Elysia screamed.
Her exquisite makeup was ruined by the warm coffee, and her carefully styled hair was now wet and messy, hanging on her shoulder.
The scene was a mess.
The servant next to them was shocked and had a bad feeling. She quickly slipped away to report what had just happened to Eliza.
Cecily calmly sat back in her chair, looking at Elysia, who was glaring at her with anger and a desire to fight. She smiled lightly and said, "What's wrong? Is the coffee delicious? If you want some, just say it, and I'll feed you."
"You... You despicable person, Cecily!" Elysia shouted, looking utterly humiliated.
Cecily chuckled lightly and stood up from her chair.
The beautiful scene had been ruined, and she was no longer in the mood to enjoy it.
Just as she was about to leave, a sound of shattering glass came from behind. She initially thought it was Elysia throwing things in anger and didn't intend to pay attention. However, she soon heard a painful sound of vomiting...
Cecily's eyebrows furrowed as she sensed that something was wrong. She immediately turned around and saw Elysia collapsing on the ground, trembling in pain.
Without hesitation, Cecily turned back and went to Elysia. She found her face pale, foaming at the mouth, and unable to speak.
Cecily frowned deeply. "Elysia? Elysia!"
Elysia's body stiffened, her eyes rolled back, and she stared at Cecily with a blank expression.
Cecily's heart skipped a beat, and her gaze fell on the pot of coffee.
Elysia seemed to be poisoned, and she must have ingested some of the coffee that was spilled in the chaos.
Cecily's heart sank. Without thinking too much, she turned around and ran back into the house.
Soon, Cecily fetched a medical emergency kit and instructed a servant to call the family doctor.
When Cecily returned, Elysia was already weak. Without hesitation, Cecily immediately sealed her acupoints with the medical emergency kit to prevent the spread of the poison.
The doctor arrived quickly and was also taken aback by the situation.
Cecily knew the situation was critical. If she wanted to save Elysia's life, they couldn't delay any longer. "Hurry, take her to the hospital."
The family doctor immediately stepped forward.
At the same time, Eliza learned about the situation and rushed over with her people.
The three other members of the Watson family also arrived.
Seeing Elysia being carried on a stretcher, her body stiff and her eyes rolling, Liora and Raphael rushed forward.

It was clear that if Cecily had taken that cup of coffee instead, there would have been no need for any rescue.
Cecily's gaze shifted to Eliza, who was standing behind. Eliza didn't look good. She had intended to poison Cecily without anyone knowing, but her plan was thwarted by Elysia.
Eliza clenched her fists, realizing that she had to act quickly. She approached and pulled the two apart. "Let the doctor treat Elysia first. Don't interfere."
The two finally reacted and quickly stepped aside.
The doctor carried Elysia away, and Liora, in tears, questioned loudly, "What is going on? How did Elysia end up like this?"
One of the remaining doctors spoke up, "Based on our initial examination, Miss Elysia suffered from poisoning."
"Poisoning?" Raphael furrowed his brow. "How could she be poisoned out of the blue? What happened?"
Eliza signaled to a servant standing nearby, and the servant stepped forward. "Mr. Raphael, I was right there and saw Miss Elysia and this lady here having an argument. The lady poured a pot of coffee on Miss Elysia, and that's when she became like this."
As soon as the servant said this, all eyes turned to Cecily.
Liora's face changed instantly, and she pointed at Cecily, shouting, "It's you! You poisoned my daughter! You wicked woman!"
Cecily met Liora's gaze. "I wanted to poison your daughter? Why would I do that? Why would I do that so blatantly and put myself at risk?"
The servant hurriedly added, "Miss Elysia just said that she is an impostor and that she should leave the Bennett family. Perhaps this lady here got angry and wanted to retaliate."
Cecily glanced at the speaking servant, the same one who had served her the coffee.
Cecily shifted her gaze to the person behind the servant, meeting Eliza's sinister eyes.
Cecily instantly understood everything.
Although Eliza had failed to poison her, she was not willing to let go of this opportunity to frame her.
Having a conflict and then resorting to poisoning sounded absurd, but without evidence, the blame would likely fall on her again.
Upon hearing about the incident in the garden, the three elders and Evan and Caleb hurried over. The three elders were there to resolve the situation, while Evan and Caleb were there just to watch the drama.
Caleb smiled and asked, "What's all the commotion? What's happening now?"
Desmond also inquired, "What's going on?"
Eliza immediately turned to Desmond and spoke, "Mr.Bradshaw, we just arrived and learned about the situation. It was this person..."
Eliza paused for a moment. Both she and Cecily were claiming to be Cecily, and she felt it was inappropriate to address her in any way.
After a moment of thought, Eliza continued, "It was this person who claimed to be Cecily. She poisoned my sister Elysia, who has already been taken to the hospital."
Predictably, Eliza directly accused Cecily.
Cecily could clearly sense the implication in her words.
"Elders, things are not as she says." Cecily couldn't let Eliza frame her, so she immediately spoke up. "I did not poison Elysia. Someone is trying to poison me."

Cecily smiled. "If I had such a scheme, I wouldn't have harmed Elysia. I would have harmed her instead."
Cecily looked at Eliza and continued, "If she died, the drama of the real and fake Cecily would come to an end, benefiting me. On the other hand, as I just said, the coffee was originally intended for me. If it kills me, who stands to gain? I believe it's quite clear."
With just a few words, Cecily shifted everyone's attention to Eliza.
Clearly, Cecily's words made sense.
Directly poisoning someone would be self-destructive.
If she truly wanted to poison someone, it should have been the person who currently posed the greatest threat to her - the one who shared her face, claimed to be Cecily, and had already taken the position of heiress at the Bennett family, Eliza.
Everyone understood this logic.
And Cecily mentioned that the coffee was originally meant for her. If she drank it and was poisoned, the drama of the real and fake Cecily would also come to an end, with Eliza emerging as the ultimate winner.
Eliza remained composed at the accusation and retorted, "Are you suggesting that I poisoned you?"

Without evidence, Eliza certainly wouldn't admit to it.

Eliza's words were clearly a reminder to everyone not to be deceived by Cecily. She was trying to shift the focus and evade suspicion.
The three members of the Watson family had different expressions at this moment. Whether it was Eliza's attempt to harm Cecily or Cecily's poisoning of Elysia, they would all stand with Eliza and confront Cecily together.
Raphael spoke in a calm voice, "I believe my daughter wouldn't resort to poisoning. It is you who splashed coffee on Elysia and used it as an opportunity to poison her. Your intentions are truly malicious. We will not let you off the hook. We should call the police."
Matilda also spoke up, "That's right. Elysia's life is in jeopardy. We can't let the criminal get away. Call the police."

Eliza looked at Caleb and asked, "Why not? Shouldn't the perpetrator face the consequences?"
Caleb snorted. "Just keep quiet. The matter is not yet concluded. Don't go around accusing people and talking about consequences. In my opinion, based on what she said, you seem more suspicious. How about we bring both of you in for questioning?"
Caleb held a strong bias against Eliza and showed no mercy in his words.
Eliza was not pleased either. "Uncle Caleb, your words are quite interesting. Based on her few words, you're already treating me as a suspect. You're not even standing up for your own family. Could it be that you've received something from her?"
"I'm just being objective. You say I've received something from her. By your logic, am I not allowed to speak the truth?"
Eliza frowned. "That's not what I meant. I just feel disappointed that my uncle is not speaking up for me and is instead helping outsiders to defame me. If my mother were still here, I wonder if it would have saddened her."
Eliza mentioned Vivienne to remind the three elders that she was the daughter of their family head, and being slandered and bullied like this, they should consider if it was acceptable.
Desmond was reminded by this statement. He furrowed his brow and looked at Caleb, saying, "Mr. Caleb, the matter is not yet concluded. It is inappropriate for you to speak in such a manner."
Caleb snorted, turned away, and glanced at Evan.
