Chapter 487 Dad, Save Me

Darian casually sipped his water and spotted Josep's men nearby. Setting the cup down, he said coldly, "You mentioned Cecily. She's my ex-wife, and I don't know anything about the kid you mentioned. This marriage is Owen's last wish, and I'll honor it. Whether I like Freya or not, I'll try after we're married. The Fitzgerald family won't let her suffer."

Aurelie overheard and wanted to storm in and scold Darian, since she knew he wasn't suffering from amnesia. She quickly turned to Cecily and said, "Cecily, something's wrong with his brain."

"It's fine," Cecily said, forcing a stiff smile. "Let's go."

Even though she knew Darian had amnesia, his words still hurt Cecily. Aurelie, who felt guilty for eavesdropping, quickly followed her. "Cecily, don't be mad. When we get home, we'll chop up Darian—I mean, chop up some cabbage."

Bryan, who was agitated by Darian's words, couldn't understand why they were going through with this marriage. He didn't want his daughter to get hurt and hoped to cancel it. He knew Freya couldn't handle Darian, and the Fitzgerald family was still a mess. It wasn't safe for Freya to stay with Darian.

Just then, Larkin rushed in and nodded urgently at Darian, signaling they had found Sandra's hiding place. Darian stood up, grabbed his phone, and said, "I have something to do, excuse me."

The phone buzzed with a message, but Darian ignored it. Bryan, frustrated, tried calling Freya to bring her back. She didn't answer the first or second call, which was unusual for her. Worried, Bryan called Sam to send someone to find her. He decided it was time for Freya to return to Riverview.

Instead of getting an update from Sam, Bryan received a call from Freya. "You finally called back," Bryan answered. "Freya."

"Dad, help! Save me! Don't kill me! I have money, I can give you a lot of money. Please, don't kill me. Dad, help!"

"Freya?"

"Shut up!" Steven's voice boomed, making Freya sob in fear.

Bryan's blood ran cold. "Who are you people?"

"Doesn't matter. We're here to take your daughter's life."

"How dare you!" Bryan shouted, trying to stay calm. "Don't touch her. What do you want?"

"We don't want anything. We just want Darian's most important woman dead. We'll torture her slowly before we kill her."

Chains clanked in the background. Freya grabbed Steven's pants, pleading, "I'm not Darian's most important woman. It's Cecily. They love each other and have two kids. Please, go after her, not me. Dad, it hurts. They put me in water and whipped me. I can't take it. Save me."

"You're not his fiancée?"

"No, he loves Cecily. If you don't believe me, go ahead and check. You have the wrong person," Freya cried hoarsely. "Please, go kill Cecily, not me."

Steven hesitated, and Freya cried louder, "I'm not lying. You have the wrong person."

Steven chuckled, "Do you want to live?"

"Yes, I do."

"Then get them to bring Cecily here. We only want Darian's most important person."

Freya clung to the phone, "Dad, please save me. I can't take it anymore. They have so many torture devices. Please bring Cecily to them."

"Enough talking." Steven grabbed the phone. "You have two choices: bring Cecily here or prepare to collect your daughter's body. You have two hours. If we don't see her, your daughter dies."

"Dad!" Freya screamed as the call ended.

Bryan lowered his arm, heart racing but mind clear. Freya's desperate cries echoed in his ears. He ruffled his hair, knowing he had only two hours. If he didn't comply, they would kill Freya.
