Chapter 413 I am his fiancée, who are you?

Aurelia was furious. Although she was afraid of being exposed by Darian, she held onto a glimmer of hope that she could pull it off cleanly and deceive everyone.

Her plan succeeded, and Freya's lips twitched, almost breaking into laughter.

Cecily finished work and had arranged with Aurelie to take Rowan and Griffin shopping for clothes. After leaving the office, they picked up the kids and, along with Gary, headed to the mall.

Gary helped Cecily with Rowan and Griffin, while Cecily and Aurelie walked hand in hand behind them. Shopping always lifted their spirits.

Once there, they headed straight for the children's clothing section.

The main goal today was to buy clothes for Rowan and Griffin. Kids at this age grew fast, and Cecily loved dressing them up stylishly every day.

Cecily and Aurelie were usually busy and didn't go shopping often, but when they did, they bought a lot. They dove into the children's store with more enthusiasm than when shopping for themselves.

Gary leaned against a wall, watching the frenzied Cecily and Aurelie, and smirked. "The sales associate will probably hit their monthly target with just these two."

Griffin, wearing his new outfit, looked unfazed. "Gary, shopping with women is always like this. You'll get used to it."

Rowan came out in a new little suit, looking cool and composed, just like Darian.

"Sweethearts, you two look so handsome. You'll have all the girls swooning in the future." Aurelie exaggeratedly pinched Rowan and Griffin's cheeks.

Cecily bought all the good-looking clothes for Rowan and Griffin, and Aurelie picked out quite a few for them as well.

Seeing Aurelie eagerly paying, Cecily pushed her card back and said, "If you love kids so much, why don't you have one of your own?"

"I just love your sons." Aurelie huffed, handing her card to the sales associate again. "You pay for what you pick, and I'll pay for what I pick. I love buying things for your sons. I can't be a godmother for nothing."

Cecily knew that this amount of money was nothing to Aurelie, so she let her be.

After buying the children's clothes, they wandered around and finally stopped at a high-end men's clothing section. Cecily's eyes fell on a light brown suit.

Darian's suits were usually custom-made by a designer and delivered at regular intervals, mostly in black, gray, or dark blue, looking both elegant and restrained.

This light brown suit was much brighter than the black and gray ones. Cecily couldn't help but wonder how Darian would look in it.

Aurelie leaned in and asked, "Are you planning to buy these for Darian?"

Cecily thought for a moment. The suit's color was similar to the ones they had just bought for Rowan and Griffin, making it look like a family set. "Doesn't it look like a family set with Rowan and Griffin's suits?"

Aurelie touched her chin and nodded. "It does look nice."

Cecily made up her mind immediately. "I'll buy it."

She really wanted to see Darian, Rowan, and Griffin in matching outfits.

Once women started picking out clothes, they couldn't stop, especially since this was the first time Cecily had picked out clothes for Darian in years. She couldn't stop.

Rowan and Griffin got restless and pestered Gary to take them to get some food.

Only Cecily and Aurelie were left. Cecily carefully picked out everything from suit jackets to shirts, ties, cufflinks, and brooches.

Seeing Cecily picking out clothes, Aurelie couldn't resist and started picking out clothes for Nathaniel.

They had been together for a year, and she had never seen Nathaniel in such formal attire.

Even when she accompanied Nathaniel to a family event, he wore casual clothes, looking lazy and indifferent, as if he was just drifting through life.

Aurelie knew why he was like this. A scion of a prominent family, imprisoned for ten years, had no place in the family upon his release. He didn't fight or compete, letting himself waste away. Thinking of this made Aurelie feel even more guilty.

He was supposed to have a perfect future.

If it weren't for that incident, he might be strategizing in the business world like Darian.

Aurelie stared at a black suit, lost in thought. She took a deep breath, checked the suit's size, and called over a sales associate, "Please wrap these up for me."

"Sure, miss. One moment, please."

Just as the sales associate was about to take the suit, a slender, fair hand reached over and took it from Aurelie. "This suit is perfect for Nathaniel. Don't you think, Auntie?"

"If you're picking it for Nathaniel, it must be good," the elegantly dressed woman agreed.

"Then I'll take this one. Please wrap it up."

"Sorry, miss, but this lady has already chosen this suit," the sales associate apologized.

Lillian glanced at Aurelie, and Aurelie recognized her just by the sound.

It was Lillian.

And beside her was Nathaniel's mother, Jessica Wilson.

They had all met before and knew each other. Aurelie didn't believe they hadn't recognized her.

Lillian smiled at Aurelie and asked, "Oh, it's Miss Miller. Who are you buying a suit for?"

Seeing her feign ignorance, Aurelie raised an eyebrow and smiled, not indulging her. "For my boyfriend. What about you?"

"I'm buying it for my fiancé. You know him, Nathaniel. Miss Miller, don't you think this suit is perfect for Nathaniel?" Lillian said, looking blissfully happy.

'Fiancé?' she wondered.

Aurelie's hand tightened at her side.

"By the way, Mrs. Wilson, this is Miss Miller. You might have met her before," Lillian said, raising an eyebrow at Aurelie. "She's Nathaniel's girlfriend."

"Nathaniel's girlfriend?" Jessica looked Aurelie up and down, then laughed and shook her head. "Nathaniel is about to get engaged to you. Where would he have a girlfriend? Lillian, you always have such a sense of humor."

Lillian giggled, her eyes never leaving Aurelie. "Miss Miller, you probably won't be able to give this suit away. Why not let me have it?"

As soon as Lillian finished speaking, the suit was back in Aurelie's hands. Aurelie handed it to the sales associate and said, "Please wrap these up for me. Thank you."

Lillian's expression changed slightly. "Miss Miller, it's not nice to snatch things."

Aurelie smiled nonchalantly. "If you can snatch it, why can't I?"

"Miss Miller, you won't be able to give it away. Why bother?"

"Are you bored?" Aurelie handed her card to the sales associate.

Nathaniel had already explained the last incident to her, so she didn't believe a word Lillian said.

Lillian smirked and said nothing more.

Soon, the sales associate returned and said, "Sorry, but this card has insufficient funds."
