Chapter 642 Do You Want to Kill Two Birds with One Stone?

"Can you step on it?" Aurelie's eyes were glued to the car ahead, barely blinking, scared something bad might happen any second.

The driver, drenched in sweat, mashed the gas pedal to the floor. "This is as fast as we go."

In the car ahead, Stanley finally got his hands on a gun. Furious and humiliated, he shoved it against Nathaniel's head. "You bastard, I'll kill you!"

A gunshot echoed.

Aurelie's ears rang, and it felt like all the sounds around her just stopped. She stared ahead, terrified, barely breathing.

The car in front didn't stop. Instead, for some reason, it suddenly swerved onto a side road.

Inside, Stanley's gun got knocked out of his hand again.

The bullet grazed Nathaniel's cheek, leaving a bloody streak.

Stanley, losing it, lunged at Nathaniel, pounding him with his fists. The cramped car made it hard for Nathaniel to move. Gritting his teeth, he reached for the door handle and pushed it open. A blast of cold wind hit him as he kicked the guy restraining him out of the car.

Seeing this, Stanley, looking crazed, pulled out a knife and started stabbing at Nathaniel. Nathaniel raised his arm to block, getting deep cuts.

Stanley gripped the knife tight, using all his strength to stab Nathaniel.

Nathaniel's eyes narrowed. He caught the knife with his bare hand. Blood dripped down the blade, and Stanley's eyes were wild.

Nathaniel had a gunshot wound on his shoulder and deep cuts on his arm. With all the pulling, his wounds kept bleeding, soaking his shirt red. His arm shook and started losing strength from the pain.

Seeing Nathaniel struggling, Stanley gripped the knife with both hands and pressed down hard. The tip of the knife slowly sank into Nathaniel's chest, and Stanley's madness grew.

"Crap!" The driver in front suddenly screamed in terror. "Stanley, there's no road ahead! The brakes are out, and the car can't stop!"

Stanley's face darkened, momentarily distracted. Nathaniel seized the chance, freed one hand, and punched Stanley hard in the temple. At the same time, the knife plunged into Nathaniel's chest. Stanley's grip loosened, and he felt dizzy.

Ignoring the pain, Nathaniel quickly sat up. He looked ahead and saw a cliff with massive waves crashing against the rocks below. His heart pounded, and he shouted, "Turn the wheel!"

The driver, panicking, kept slamming the brakes, but nothing happened. His face went pale with fear. "What do we do now?"

Nathaniel wanted to jump forward and grab the wheel, but the car was moving too fast, and without brakes, it was too late.

"Nathaniel!" Aurelie watched in horror as the car ahead reached the cliff, not slowing down, heading straight for the edge. Her blood ran cold, and everything around her seemed to fade away. All she could see was the out-of-control car.

Her heart pounded like it was about to burst out of her chest.

The next second, the worst happened. The car didn't slow down and went straight over the edge.

There was a loud splash.

At that moment, time seemed to stand still for Aurelie.

The car stopped, and Aurelie flung the door open and rushed out. She ran to the edge of the cliff and saw the car plunge into the sea. The water, like a giant beast, swallowed everything, and soon the black car disappeared completely.

Aurelie's eyes widened, and she felt her head spinning. Everything went dark and silent, and everything disappeared from her sight along with the car and Nathaniel.

The people behind her rushed up, looking at the scene with grave expressions.

"Call for rescue!" someone shouted.

Everything happened so fast that no one could react.

Aurelie couldn't hear anything else. Her heart ached to the extreme, as if pierced by countless needles, bleeding profusely.

She stared at the now calm water, as if waiting for someone to appear. She staggered to her feet and looked ahead, about to jump down. The people behind her quickly pulled her back. "Miss Miller, are you crazy?"

"Let go of me!" She struggled and shouted. "Nathaniel must be fine. He's just trapped in the car and can't swim up. I have to go save him."

The people behind her held her tightly. "Miss Miller, you're pregnant. Do you want to kill yourself and your baby?"

Even these grown men wouldn't dare to jump from such a height.

The car only plunged into the water because it was moving fast and had forward momentum, not because it fell straight down. If they jumped directly, they would hit the rocks, just like jumping off a building.

Aurelie was held tightly by a group of people, preventing her from doing anything foolish.

Minutes passed, and there was still no movement on the water's surface.

Aurelie didn't know the limit for someone to stay underwater, but she knew Nathaniel was injured and couldn't last long underwater.
