Chapter 530 Cecily, Don't Be Afraid
The fire inside flared up once again.
Vivienne collapsed to her knees, clutching her chest and screaming hoarsely, "Everything is my fault. I only have my daughter left. She can't die."
Upon Bryan's arrival, he saw Vivienne yelling.. His heart clenched instantly, and he kicked open the door, rushing towards the kneeling Vivienne.
"Vivienne."
The flames roared, and they could clearly see each other's expressions. Tears streamed down Vivienne's face as she clutched Bryan's clothes tightly.
"Bryan, Freya has gone mad. She set the villa on fire to die with Cecily. They're both trapped inside now. What do we do?"
Bryan tightened his grip on Vivienne's hand, his heart pounding violently.
Cecily and Freya were still inside?
Under the night sky, he looked sharply at the villa engulfed in flames and thick smoke. The raging fire seemed ready to consume everything, turning it to ashes. Even from a distance, he could feel the scorching heat waves coming from inside, which had become a sea of fire.
Vivienne clutched her chest, crying in utter despair. "Bryan, I beg you/ Please save Cecily. Cecily is your daughter. She's really is your biological daughter."
Hearing Vivienne's words, Bryan froze in place.
Perhaps afraid that Bryan wouldn't believe her, Vivienne hurriedly took out a paternity test report and shoved it into Bryan's hand.
"It's true. Cecily really is your biological daughter. I'm not lying to you, Bryan. Please save her. I can't live without her."
Vivienne kept crying and pleading, her voice broken and hoarse.
The flames illuminated the night sky. Bryan held those few sheets of paper, flipping to the last page, where he clearly saw the words on the paternity test. His eyes widened, and he almost lost his balance.
Test result: Parent-child relationship confirmed!
Just a few words echoed wildly in Bryan's mind.
How could it be?
How could Cecily be his biological daughter?
It must be a mistake. It must be a mistake.
But how could a paternity test be wrong?
These happened so suddenly that Vivienne didn't have time to fake a paternity test to deceive him.
Cecily was his biological daughter
The truth exploded in his mind like a bomb, leaving his brain blank. When he came to his senses and looked at the sea of fire again, for a moment, he felt his heart might stop.
All around were the sounds of frantic cries for help, but everything seemed distant to him.
"Cecily is my biological daughter," Bryan repeated this sentence over and over, as if in a trance.
When everyone looked at Bryan, only a few scattered sheets of paper were left on the ground. Bryan rushed inside without hesitation.
"Mr. Whitaker!" Sam shouted in terror from behind, trying to stop Bryan, but it was too late.
The fire continued to swell, its flames menacing and fierce. Anyone rushed in might die.
"Mrs. Whitaker!" Sam looked at Vivienne in disbelief. Things had gone beyond his expectations.
He had agreed to help Vivienne, and Freya escape smoothly, but Vivienne never said this act would cost Bryan his life!
As Bryan rushed into the fire, Vivienne wiped away the fake tear from the corner of her eye, a cruel, cold sneer forming on her lips.
The tearful, desperate Vivienne from moments ago seemed like an illusion. Now she was calm and indifferent.
Looking at Vivienne, Sam seemed to understand something.
Maybe this was the real Vivienne. She wasn't without means, but she simply disdained using them on some people.
However, if these people truly crossed a line, she would never show mercy. Whether it was Freya, Eliza, Bryan, or even Jennifer before, she spared none of them.
Sam was now somewhat at a loss, but he quickly led people to fight the fire.
Watching the flames, Vivienne smiled, but tears began to fall.
She wanted Bryan to make a choice again between his adopted daughter and his 'biological daughter.'
She wanted Freya to experience the feeling of being abandoned by the most important person, helpless and in despair.
Cecily arrived in Blaise's car and was shocked to see the villa ahead billowing with smoke. Her eyes widened in shock.
It was on fire! How could it be on fire?
She immediately got out of the car, ignoring everything else, and ran towards Vivienne.
"Mom!"
Cecily's face was grave. She thought she had just seen Bryan rush inside. Such a big fire could really be fatal.
"Mom, what on earth is going on? Who's inside?"
"It's Freya and Eliza," Vivienne said, her tone calm and indifferent.
Eliza was in there too?
Cecily downward, noticing the scattered papers on the ground. She crouched down to pick them up and saw the paternity test; it was a paternity test between her and Bryan.
Looking back at Vivienne, Cecily immediately understood what had happened tonight.
Allof this was orchestrated by Vivienne.
Vivienne turned her head, her eyes red, and grasped Cecily's hand.
Vivienne's hand was cold, even trembling slightly.
Cecily felt an indescribable emotion in her heart.
"Cecily, just wait a little longer, and I'll avenge you and the child."
A wave of bitterness surged in Cecily's throat. She blinked her dry eyes, looking at Vivienne. Through Vivienne's indifferent and ruthless eyes, Cecily saw the pain and struggle within them.
To scheme against Bryan, Vivienne must feel pain.
Yeah, she was in pain, but her hatred was too deep.
She wanted to torment Bryan, but she was also tormenting herself.
Cecily turned her head away, avoiding Vivienne's gaze. She covered her mouth with her hand as sobs continued to escape.
Watching the fire burn, Cecily felt no sense of relief.
She only felt pain. After all, Bryan was her father, and Vivienne was her mother. In a normal life, they should have been a happy family.
But now? It had come to this point of no return, and as their child, how could she not feel hurt?
A black car stopped nearby, and Darian got out, walking over. When he saw the scene, his eyes showed no surprise. Seeing the sobbing woman, he frowned and quickly walked over.
"What are you doing out here?" Darian frowned at Cecily, holding her hand. "I'll take you back to the hospital first."
Cecily pressed down on Darian's large hand, swallowing her sobs. "I'm fine. Can you send someone to help put out the fire?"
"Who are we saving?" Darian asked her.
"Bryan!"
Cecily closed her eyes. Maybe she still couldn't be as ruthless as they were, but she couldn't watch Bryan be trapped inside and burned alive.
Darian wiped away Cecily's tears without asking why, simply replying, "Okay."
Blaise, who had been standing at the back, leaning against the car and smoking one cigarette after another, gestured with his finger and said coldly, "Go help."
He had already gathered information about this place, so he had his people stationed around.
At this moment, Bryan, who had rushed inside regardless of everything, heard cries for help coming from the direction of the bathroom through the thick smoke.
"Help! Is anyone there? "
"Help! I don't want to die."
Freya and Eliza had taken refuge in the bathroom. The fire hadn't spread there yet, and it was on the first floor. They could have escaped through the window, but the windows were sealed shut.
They had used all their strength to smash and kick, but it was all in vain.
Since Vivienne had gone to such lengths, she wouldn't give them an easy chance to escape.
Freya and Eliza were in despair. The raging fire outside made them too afraid to go out. If no one came to save them, it was only a matter of time before the fire spread to the bathroom.
They used water to wet towels, stuffing them into gaps to prevent smoke from leaking in. They also soaked their clothes in water and covered their mouths and noses with wet towels. After doing all this, they had nothing left to do but continue calling for help.
Eliza was almost driven mad with hatred for Freya. She had never imagined she would one day face being burned to death by an idiot.
This idiot had even tried to burn someone else but ended up burning herself.
"It's all your fault. If I die here today, I will haunt you. "
Freya, trembling and huddled in a corner, looked at Eliza with a fierce gaze. "It's your fault for getting plastic surgery to look like Cecily! I haven't even gotten started on you for making me mistake her for."
Eliza was infuriated by Freya's words.
'You are so useless. You set fire, yet you can't run out,' Eliza scolded inwardly.
Suddenly, there wer heavy knocks on the door.
Someone was here!
"Cecily, are you in there?"
It was Bryan's urgent voice.
Freya's eyes lit up with hope.
Bryan had come. He had come to save her.
She knew Bryan would come to save her no matter what.
Thank goodness, she wouldn't die.
Freya scrambled to her feet and rushed to open the door. The moment she saw Bryan, tears welled up in her eyes.
"Dad, I knew you would come to save me. "
Freya's voice caught in her throat, and she froze in place. She watched as the anxious Bryan brushed past her, not even noticing her, and looked at the person behind her.
Thick smoke poured in as the door opened, making it impossible to see. Bryan covered his mouth and nose with his arm, waving away the smoke obscuring his vision. He immediately saw the false Cecily curled up on the ground.
He rushed over. "Cecily, don't be afraid. Dad's here. I'll take you out."
