Chapter 264 Darian Arrives
After speaking, Desmond looked at Cecily and Eliza and said, "It's already late, and even with expedited testing, we won't have the results until tomorrow. You should rest at the Bennett family tonight. We appreciate your presence, and rooms have been arranged for you. Please have a good night's rest."
Matilda nodded slightly and said, "Thank you."
Desmond left, and Matilda's gaze turned cold as she looked at Cecily. Cecily observed the family before her. Previously, Raphael had been fighting over the inheritance left by her mother, and now Matilda was doing the same. How much money had this woman promised them?
Cecily sighed bitterly. With such a selfish grandmother and father, she couldn't help but feel pitiful.
Darian had finished dealing with the matters at Stellaris Bay and went to the hotel to find Cecily. The landlady informed him about what had happened at noon. She truthfully conveyed everything to Darian.
Darian frowned and muttered, "The Bennett family?"
"Cecily also said you don't have to worry about her; she's not in danger. I could see that those people had no intention of harming her; instead, they treated her with respect."
"Understood, thank you." Darian expressed his gratitude and walked out, instructing Larkin to arrange a private plane and apply for a direct flight to the Bennett family.
The next morning, after working tirelessly all night, the relevant personnel handed the paternity test reports to Desmond.
Desmond held two yellow parchment envelopes, one for Cecily and one for Eliza. "I have both reports in my hands now. Is there anything else you would like to say?"
Eliza smirked slightly and said, "Mr.Bradshaw, I have something to say. I had already given this impostor a chance, but she refused and even tried to replace me. Now I don't want to let her off. I hope that after the results are revealed, she will apologize to me and be expelled from the Bennett family."
Eliza looked at Cecily with cold eyes. Cecily remained calm and raised her gaze to look at the two paternity test reports. "What gives a plastic surgery recipient like you the audacity to speak like this?"
"I admit that I had plastic surgery, but it was because of an accident. I had to undergo it to restore my appearance. Why do you keep emphasizing this?" Eliza questioned sharply.
"Mr.Bradshaw, she has had plastic surgery, but I haven't. I know you are cautious and unwilling to overlook the probability she mentioned, but the fact remains that she has undergone it. We can't ignore this just because she found a reason, can we?" Cecily spoke with reason, and Desmond nodded in agreement with her statement. "You're right."
Eliza sneered, "Yes, that's right. So, we conducted the paternity test, didn't we? Mr.Bradshaw, please open it."
Cecily also looked at Desmond and said, "Please open it."
Desmond, in front of the two of them, opened the envelopes and carefully examined the contents. Then he looked at Cecily, who was standing to his left. Cecily's hand, hanging by her side, tightened slightly, and her knuckles gradually turned white.
"Miss, there is no biological relationship between you and Raphael."
Cecily's clenched hand relaxed.
Upon hearing this result, Cecily's heart skipped a beat. She didn't know whether to cry or laugh. She was not Raphael's daughter, which was a reason to be happy for her. After all, she thought it was better not to have such a father.
She had always believed that the Watson family treated her that way because of money, but it turned out that it was not the case. It was simply because there was no blood relation between her and them.
Cecily bitterly pursed her lips and asked, "So, she is Raphael's biological daughter, right?"
Just now, she had been so confident, obviously knowing this fact. Desmond nodded and replied, "That's right. We also sent someone to investigate at Stellaris Bay. She did indeed have a serious facial injury from an accident."
Eliza looked at Cecily with a triumphant expression. After years of plotting, she wouldn't dare to come to the Bennett family if she didn't have full confidence.
"Is there any chance that the paternity test was tampered with?" Cecily asked again.
Nicky stepped forward and firmly answered, "Absolutely not."
Cecily nodded, understanding. The reason why the Watson family was helping this woman was that she was Raphael's biological daughter. The Watson family had been planning this for a long time. They were greedy and wanted to take everything from her mother.
This woman was Raphael's daughter. If they wanted to find out her true identity, they could start with Raphael's illegitimate daughter. But for now, she had to resolve the current situation. If she was driven out of the Bennett family, then the imposter would truly take over.
Eliza raised her chin and looked at Cecily with a smile. "Do you have anything else to say, impostor?"
Cecily tightened her lips.
"If you have nothing else to say, then please apologize to me immediately. And Mr.Bradshaw, I hope you will have someone directly kick her out. Otherwise, I won't let this go." Eliza's voice was harsh.
Just then, someone hurriedly entered and reported, "Mr.Bradshaw, Mr. Fitzgerald has arrived at the door."
"Mr. Fitzgerald? Darian?" Cecily's eyes flickered. Darian had come?
"Yes, it is. Mr. Fitzgerald insisted on coming in. Mr.Bradshaw..." The person's voice trailed off as the elaborately carved doors swung open with a heavy sound that made everyone shiver.
As the doors slowly opened, a tall figure appeared before everyone. He was dressed in a black coat, striding quickly inside.
The two security guards at the entrance reached out to stop him. "I'm sorry, sir, but without an invitation from the Bennett family, you can't enter."
"Do you think you can stop me?" Darian's face remained expressionless, cold and indifferent.
Desmond watched the scene and waved his hand. "Let him in."
Darian immediately walked in, and the atmosphere in the entire living room instantly changed.
When Darian saw the two identical faces, his eyebrow raised slightly. Cecily and Eliza both looked at Darian.
Darian's gaze swept over the two of them and finally settled on Cecily. Desmond asked, "Mr. Fitzgerald, what brings you here?"
"My wife was taken by you. Why do you think I came here?"
