Chapter 353 Cecily Would Soon Be Able to See

Eliza didn't understand. Given how much they resented her, there was no way they would let her live so easily.

At the very least, Cecily's eyes had been blinded by her, and they would surely seek an eye for an eye.

But they had not done so.

Why? There must be a reason.

Eliza lifted her gaze to look at Darian in front of her, her eyes narrowing.

Unless her eyes were still of use to them.

"Cecily needs corneas, right? Are you planning to transplant mine to her?" This was the only reason Eliza could think of. Otherwise, she would have been dead a thousand times over.

Darian looked at her twisted, contorted face with nothing but disgust in his eyes. "You used her face and blinded her eyes. Shouldn't you return them?"

"Darian, don't you dare do this," Eliza screamed hoarsely. "You devil, you madman! I will never let you succeed."

Darian stood up, looking down at her as if she were an ant, and coldly commanded, "Watch her closely. Those eyes of hers now belong to Cecily. Whoever harms her eyes will have to give their own in return."

Darian had given a death order, and the bodyguards nearby immediately became alert.

"Darian! Come back! You come back! You can't do this! I will never let you succeed." Eliza struggled on the ground, screaming.

Darian ignored her and strode away.

In Cecily's hospital room, shattered glass lay everywhere. Darian did not see her, and his heart tightened. The next second, he heard the sound of running water from the bathroom.

Darian stepped towards the bathroom and pushed the door open. Cecily paused in the act of undressing.

"Darian?"

Darian sighed in relief. "How did you know it was me?"

"Who else would barge in while I'm bathing? Only you would do such a thing."

Cecily knew him all too well.

Darian frowned and started putting her clothes back on. "Your wounds aren't healed yet. Why are you trying to bathe?"

"I was just going to wipe my body. Get out," Cecily blocked Darian's hand.

Darian grabbed her hands, getting angry. "Aren't you afraid of hurting your wounds? Do you know how many places you're injured? This is reckless."

"You..."

Before Cecily could react, she was carried out and placed on the sofa.

Darian was about to say something when he noticed a wet spot on the bandage over her eyes.

Darian's face tightened, and all his anger vanished in an instant, replaced by panic and heartache.

"What's wrong? Did I hurt you?"

Cecily shook her head, saying nothing.

Darian sighed, gently stroking her cheek. "Are you crying because I won't let you bathe?"

Cecily sniffled. "Am I useless now?"

She had just tried to drink water but bumped her knee and shattered the glass. She wanted to wipe her body but couldn't even see where her wounds were.

She felt incapable of doing anything. After days of trying to stay strong, her emotions finally broke.

Taking a deep breath, Cecily tried to hold back her vulnerability, but the tears kept flowing.

Darian's heart ached uncontrollably. He didn't speak immediately but reached out to remove the bandage from her eyes, silently looking at her tightly closed eyes.

Slowly leaning in, Darian cupped her face and gently kissed her eyelids with extreme tenderness. "Cecily, these eyes are so beautiful. It's a pity you can't see. Trust me, you'll be able to see soon."

Cecily's lips twitched slightly.

She knew that Darian was trying to comfort her. This was not a minor ailment that would heal with some rest; regaining her sight would not be easy.

"Okay," Cecily pretended to be lighthearted and nodded. If Darian wanted to comfort her, she was willing to accept it.

"Do you still want to wipe your body?"

Cecily shook her head. "Let it go. Won't it hurt my wounds? It's not worth the trouble. I'll endure it a bit longer."

"I'll help you."

"What?"

"I'll help you wipe," Darian said, lifting Cecily and heading towards the bathroom.

"Wait, you..." Cecily sensed something was off and her expression changed. "Darian, I'm still injured. We can't make love. Are you sure you can control yourself?"

Darian gave Cecily a meaningful look. "I'll restrain myself."

Cecily wanted to say she didn't want to wipe anymore, but the buttons of her clothes were already being undone. "Lift your arms."

Cecily bit her lip in embarrassment. "Call a nurse."

"I don't like others seeing your body. I'll do it," Darian insisted.

Cecily was both amused and exasperated. "The nurse is a woman."

"Even a woman is not allowed."

As her top was removed, Cecily bit her lip even harder, her face turning a deep shade of red.

Darian's fingers paused, his breathing becoming heavier.

Though she couldn't see, Cecily could sense Darian's change.

Cecily bit her lip tightly. "You..."

She opened her mouth but closed it again, unable to say anything.

Seeing her embarrassed expression, Darian said softly, "No need to be shy. I'll let you see me next time."

Cecily wanted to push him out immediately.

After more than an hour, Darian's shirt was soaked through. He took off his shirt and carried the freshly dressed Cecily back to bed. Cecily pulled the blanket over her head without saying a word.

Darian sighed deeply, glancing down at his groin. "I'm going to take a shower. You go to sleep first."

"Okay," Cecily replied, her voice muffled.

It was only after several seconds that she emerged from under the blanket.

As she listened to the sounds from the bathroom, Cecily's face turned even redder. She could hardly bear to imagine Darian, with his handsome face, pleasuring himself in the bathroom.

Cecily pulled the blanket over her face again, trying not to think about it.

After a while, Darian came out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around him. Cecily wasn't asleep yet and could hear the sounds clearly.

Darian had been staying in the hospital room to take care of Cecily, so his clothes were also kept there.

After about ten minutes, the room fell silent. Hesitating for a moment, Cecily sat up and softly called, "Darian?"

From the sofa came Darian's voice, "What's wrong?"

"Are you still sleeping on the sofa?"

Though the sofa was sleepable, it was not as comfortable as a bed. Cecily worried that if he kept sleeping on the sofa, he wouldn't rest well, and he had to handle things and take care of her during the day, which would tire him out.

"If you let me sleep on the bed, I won't have to sleep on the sofa."

Darian had meant it as a joke, but Cecily replied, "Then come up here."

This was a top-tier ward, and the bed was much larger than a regular hospital bed, easily accommodating two people.

Darian paused, licked his dry lips, and walked over.

The mattress sank slightly as Darian lifted the quilt and carefully lay down, pulling her into his arms. In the dim light, her pretty face was flushed, making her look even more delicate and beautiful.

Darian let out a long sigh. He suddenly thought of a description:

A tormenting fairy.

He found it nearly impossible to resist her allure.
