Chapter 53 Cecily Nearly Killed Darian

Enraged, Ophelia alternated between crying and cursing at Cecily while simultaneously urging the driver to hurry.

Cecily felt breathless from his kisses, and it wasn't until he finally released her, seemingly unsatisfied, that she found a moment to breathe.

Her face flushed crimson, and she took advantage of Darian's momentary distraction, swiftly getting up and flipping him beneath her. She grabbed a fruit knife from the coffee table and pressed it against Darian's throat, "Darian, you bastard."
Darian felt the cold touch against his throat, but instead of anger, a smirk crept across his face as he pulled the woman closer. "Hmm, looks like you've seriously upped your game."

"Don't touch me. Do you think I won't do it?" she snapped back.

He chuckled, a sly grin curling the corners of his mouth, his voice low and seductive, "You can have a try."

Cecily was fuming, tears rimming her red eyes as her hand, gripping the handle of the knife, trembled.

Darian caught Cecily's slender wrist as he lay back on the sofa, pinning her down onto him, his voice husky in her ear, "What's the matter? Scared or reluctant to go with it?"

Cecily pressed harder, and Darian felt a sharp pain on his neck.

For a moment, he saw genuine hatred in her eyes.

Cecily gritted her teeth. "Darian, why won't you let me go? We're divorced. I don't love you anymore. Why can't you just let me be?"

'I don't love you anymore?!'

Upon hearing those words, Darian's pupils contracted. The pain on his neck was irrelevant compared to the stinging impact of her words, which made his heart skip a beat and his underlying rage intensified.

There was a loud pounding on the door.

Then, Ophelia's frantic voice pierced the air, "Cecily, you home wrecker, get out here! Give me back my Darian!"

Ophelia's shouting was loud enough to draw the neighbors out of their homes.

She was like a distressed wife in a frenzy to catch her cheating husband and his mistress red-handed.

She even brought a locksmith, who was working on the door right then.

Cecily cast a glance at the door and sighed in relief upon recognizing Ophelia's voice.

Thankfully it wasn't Blaise returning with Griffin.

Darian's already dark expression soured further at the glint of relief in Cecily's eyes.

So afraid of her boyfriend finding out, huh?

He lifted the woman off him and rose to pin her down, sealing her lips with his once more, ruthlessly.

This kiss was more ferocious. Cecily did not hesitate to bite his lip hard, a metallic taste quickly spreading between them.

The pain didn't make Darian release her. Instead, it seemed to ignite something within him, fueling his passion even more.
Cecily was completely overpowered by Darian, unable to resist as he pressed her into a passionate kiss.

At that moment, Ophelia burst through the door.

Cecily's heart leaped to her throat. She frantically patted Darian, but he showed no sign of letting her go. In one swift motion, he scooped her up and carried her into the bathroom.

The door shut just as Ophelia stormed into the living room.

The bathroom door was made of frosted glass, the shadows inside barely discernible.

Ophelia charged forward, pounding on the door. "Cecily, you shameless hussy, get out here!"

Darian placed Cecily on the edge of the sink, his grip firm on the back of her head, her cheeks flushing red. As he moved in for another kiss, she blocked his lips with her hand. "You're insane, Darian."

With his fiancée outside, Darian pinned her against the sink. Cecily felt each of her wildly beating nerves screaming madness at her.

Darian smirked nonchalantly, tugging at her blouse and maliciously sinking his teeth into her delicate collarbone.

Cecily uttered a pained moan.

He bit down hard, showing no mercy.

Only after leaving a deep mark on her flawless collarbone did Darian release her.

"We're even now. You hurt me, and I bite you," he said, finally letting her go, content.

Both were wounded, his neck sported a fresh, blood-stained cut, and her collarbone bore a bite mark, her lips swollen from his kisses.

They locked gazes, icy and sharp, the turbulent emotions in their eyes indescribable.

Cecily thought Darian was a madman.

If he didn't love her, why keep tormenting her?

Her eyelashes, delicate as butterfly wings, trembled, her reddened eyes welling up with unshed tears.

Darian, his tall, rigid figure briefly paralyzed, stared at the woman before him, tears of grievance beginning to flow.

Why was she crying?

Was it because he had kissed her, making her feel like she had betrayed her so-called boyfriend?

Hmph.
Darian offered a cold smirk.

Cecily's tears came crashing down on him like a bucket of ice water, tempering his rage slightly, but the flames of anger within him remained untamed.

It was only when his gaze landed on her slender wrist that he realized how forcefully he had been holding her down. Her delicate skin is now adorned with a red mark.

To make matters worse, he had bitten her.

Darian's brows knitted together, a conflicting whirl of emotions made him feel even more disturbed.

He hadn't meant to hurt her, he just wished she would show some vulnerability around him occasionally, instead of always being as prickly as a porcupine.

She always had a way of driving him to madness.

Darian moved his thin lips, reaching out to her in a silent gesture.

Cecily slapped his hand away with force, "Don't touch me, get out."

Ophelia's voice, strained with urgency, was barely contained by the door. She knew what was happening inside and was desperate to break through.
