Chapter 519 Don't Stop Her from Dying

"Dad, I‘m truly sorry. I'm scared. I don't want to stay in the hospital anymore. Can you take me home?"

Freya bit her lip, clutching Bryan's sleeve tightly.

She cried pitifully, but her tears were as half-true as her words. The fear was real, while the admission of guilt was not.

She never thought she was wrong. In her eyes, stabbing herself at the airport was just a ploy to soften Bryan's heart and make him protect her.

She felt she had suffered enough injuries, even more than Cecily. Even though she had intended to harm Cecily, they were even now.

Bryan frowned. "Going back to Riverview is impossible. As long as Darian disagree, you won't step out of Silver Frost Capital."

"I know. I just want to go back to our home in Silver Frost Capital. At least there, I can feel a bit safer. But here, you see, no matter what I do, they still won't forgive me," Freya pleaded.

"Do you think you deserve to be forgiven?" Bryan asked.

"I..." Freya stiffened, looking at Bryan in disbelief and panic. "Dad, what do you mean?"

"Freya, not all mistakes deserve forgiveness." Bryan's eyes were unfathomable. "If you hadn't cooperated with Josep, if I hadn't taken Cecily to exchange for you, if you hadn't held her back, she wouldn't have been in danger. She wouldn't have lost her child and been severely injured. Why should you be forgiven? Why should I be forgiven? The mistakes we made can't be forgiven. Do you understand?"

Freya sat there, listening to every word Bryan said.

She understood that he was blaming her and himself.

However, Freya had no regrets. She didn't think she was wrong and felt no guilt. Cecily's current state was exactly what Freya wanted.

If Freya's situation weren’t so dire, she would have thrown a big party to celebrate.

Freya thought to herself, but her face was full of guilt. She sniffled and lowered her head. "Dad, it's all my fault. You did nothing wrong. You were just trying to save me. It's all my fault that Cecily lost her child. I understand now. I understand."

Freya suddenly threw off the covers and got out of bed barefoot, her eyes full of determination.

"Freya! What are you doing?" Bryan frowned.

Freya rushed to the open window and and threw herself out without hesitation.

Bryan's eyes widened. He lunged forward but only managed to grab Freya's wrist.

Freya's entire body hung outside.

The pain from her shoulder wound tearing was immediate.

Her face twisted in pain.

Bryan held onto Freya's hand tightly, his face turning red. "Hold on. Don’t let go."

They were on the eighth floor. Freya was hanging outside with no foothold, her entire body supported only by Bryan's hand.

If she fell, there would be no chance of survival.

Freya looked down in panic. Below was a hard concrete ground. A gust of wind made her body sway.

She had thought Bryan would stop her immediately, but he hadn't been quick enough. She had lost her balance, and half her body had fallen out.

Everything was beyond her expectations. Waves of fear surged over her.

Freya gritted her teeth. At this point, she had to take a gamble.

"Dad, let me die. I'll give my life to Cecily. Let go."

"Don't talk nonsense!" Bryan gritted his teeth, pulling Freya with all his strength. His voice came through clenched teeth. "Hold on!"

"Help! Someone, come quickly!" he shouted.

Bryan alone couldn't pull Freya back in.

The guards Darian had stationed outside heard the voice and rushed in, seeing Bryan half out the window, veins bulging, pulling on something.

Freya wasn't in the ward!

The guards quickly realized Freya had jumped.

They were about to help when a lazy, calm voice sounded behind them. "What's the rush?"

The guards saw Blaise approaching.

Blaise had been about to leave but stumbled upon this scene.

He raised an eyebrow. "If she wants to die, let her. Why bother?"

"But..." The guards were hesitant. Darian had ordered them to watch Freya. If she died, they couldn't explain it.

Blaise walked in, lit a cigarette, and watched Bryan and Freya indifferently.

"Help! Someone, come quickly!" Bryan shouted.

Bryan, in his fifties, wasn't as strong as a younger man. Holding Freya in that position, he couldn't last long.

Freya, desperate, cried out, "Dad, let me die. Let me give my life to Cecily. Let me die."

"Stop talking nonsense and hold on,” Bryan yelled.

Blaise watched, sneering. He then walked forward.

Bryan noticed someone approaching and saw it was Blaise. He couldn't care about anything else and shouted, "Help me save her!"

Save her?

What a joke.

Blaise's eyes swept over Freya's pale face. He raised his hand.

Bryan's arm hurt, and he almost let go of Freya's hand.

Freya screamed, feeling herself drop slightly, her heart in her throat.

"Just let her jump," Blaise coldly said.

Bryan gritted his teeth, realizing Blaise wasn't there to help. His face darkened. "If you're not helping, get out!"

Blaise sneered.

He applied pressure, and Bryan, unsure of where exactly Blaise had grabbed him, felt his hand gradually losing strength.

Seeing herself about to fall, Freya screamed in fear, "Dad, save me! I don't want to die! I don't want to die now!"

Bryan, sweating and clenching his teeth, didn't let go. Freya, driven by survival instinct, held onto Bryan's hand tightly.

"Dad, save me! Don't let go! I don't want to die!"

Blaise, smoking, raised an eyebrow and smiled. "Weren't you just eager to die? Scared now?"

Freya, crying and snotty, feared Bryan might accidentally let go.

She didn't want to die.

She didn't want to die now!

"Help! I'm scared! I don't want to die!" Freya cried.

Blaise, in a good mood, said, "No one can fake it better than you."

Bryan, almost out of strength, instinctively called for help, "Someone, help! Help!"

Freya, legs flailing, looked desperate. But Blaise, watching, showed no intention of helping.

At that moment, Larkin walked in.

The guards, unsure what to do, had called him.

Larkin, seeing the situation, quickly ordered, "Save her!"

Blaise glanced at him. "Save her?"

"Blaise, Freya is still useful to our boss. Please spare her life," Larkin explained.

"She wants to die. Why stop her?" Blaise asked.

"Letting her die is easy, but our boss's account isn't settled. She can't die yet," Larkin said quickly, seeing Bryan struggling. If they delayed, Freya would fall.

"Besides, with so many people in the hospital, her jumping would cause a scene. It'd be troublesome. So please, help." Larkin continued.

Blaise dragged a chair and sat, blocking their way.

He seemed to ignore Larkin's words.
