Chapter 307 I'm Going to See My Daughter
Hearing Eliza's harsh words, Desmond furrowed his brow and responded solemnly. "If it truly is my fault, I must be prepared to face any consequences.”
"Let go of me, I can walk by myself." Eliza snapped, giving Desmond a cold look.
The three supervisors chosen by Vivienne were all extremely loyal. She couldn't gain any advantage from them, so she could only leave first.
Eliza stepped outside, her gaze icy as she stared at the grand Bennett mansion. This place would be hers sooner or later, and she would come back again.
The top priority was to figure out a way to eliminate Cecily by any means possible. Once Cecily was out of the picture, things would be much less complicated.
Cecily was the biggest problem.
Eliza clenched her fists and called her people to come pick her up.
Next, Cecily would definitely return to Silver Frost Capital first, and she also had to go to Silver Frost Capital.
This time, she would never allow Cecily any chance to step into Bennett's Family again.
In a lavish villa on an undisclosed island, sunlight poured through the expansive French windows, illuminating a woman.
Seated peacefully on the sofa, she wore a modest dress with a beige shawl adorning her shoulders. In her forties, her noble and graceful visage retained its beauty.
As she stared out of the window, she appeared like a bird confined in a cage, lacking any vitality. Her amber eyes were listless, devoid of emotion.
The phone nearby emitted a few sounds, and after some time, the woman stirred. She reached out lethargically to answer the phone, and its screen illuminated.
She powered on the phone, browsing aimlessly without much interest until she stumbled upon a video. A flicker of emotion finally appeared in her lifeless eyes.
Miss Cecily of the Bennett's Family, her... daughter...
Her daughter had been found by the Bennett's Family!
Tears welled up uncontrollably in the woman's eyes as she watched the person on the screen.
How long had it been since she last saw her daughter? Thirteen years had passed, thirteen years of being apart. The woman's quivering lips betrayed her excitement.
"Madam, are you alright?" The servants and bodyguards who had been watching her closely noticed her strong emotions and immediately inquired about her well-being.
The woman kept staring at the phone screen, not answering their questions. After a while, she composed herself and seemed to make a decision, finally saying coldly, "Ask him to see me."
"Do you want to see sir? Alright, we will contact him immediately. Please wait, madam."
The servant made a phone call, and the woman remained calm, waiting for the servant to return. When he did, he respectfully informed her, "Madam, Sir said he will come right away."
"Okay."
Within two hours, the sound of propellers resonated through the air, and shortly after, the gates of the villa swung open. A tall figure swiftly strode in, emanating a commanding presence. As he moved past, all the servants respectfully lowered their heads.
The man in his forties exuded a mature vibe in every move he made. Time had left light traces on his face, but he remained handsome, not losing any of his charm.
At this moment, a hint of surprise appeared on his face, and his deep gaze softened as it fell on the woman. He approached her, knelt down beside her, and took her hand, "You saw the news online?"
The woman recoiled from him with disgust, clutching her shawl tightly, and gazed down at him icily. "Yes, I wish to return to see my daughter," she said firmly.
For a moment, the man's gaze turned chilling. "Is your daughter more important than me?"
"You dare compare yourself to her? What are you, even worthy?" The woman's words sent a wave of intimidation through the nearby servants and bodyguards, making them feel as though they were up against a formidable foe, yearning to vanish on the spot.
At this moment, a terrifying aura emanated from the man, sweeping through every corner of the living room.
Just when everyone thought the man would storm out in anger, he smirked sinisterly. "Say it again, I can make her disappear from this world, do you believe me?"
"If you dare touch my daughter, I will show you what I'm capable of."
As he noticed the rare emotional changes in her eyes, the man smirked and reached out to firmly grasp her hand, despite her reluctance. "Vivienne, don't say that. I was just joking. If you want to see her, I can have her brought here to accompany you."
