Chapter 295 You've Gone Too Far

"It's not like that! There's been some mistake. This dress should have been mine! You stole my dress!" Eliza angrily pointed at Cecily.

Cecily grabbed Eliza's hand, raised an eyebrow, and sneered, "Yours? Really? Everything you enjoy now, including that face of yours, belongs to me. So how can I steal something from you?"

"You!" Eliza couldn't contain her anger and glanced at the guests below, a hint of panic flashing across her face.

The guests couldn't hear what they were saying, but from their expressions, it was clear who was wearing the real dress and who was wearing the fake one.

"The heiress of the Bennett family is wearing a fake dress. How can this be? Unbelievable! What a disgrace! She's brought shame to the Bennett family."

"That's right! I feel embarrassed for her. She shamelessly claimed that someone else wearing a fake dress lowered the standard of the banquet, but it turns out she herself is the one wearing a fake dress. This is the funniest joke of the year."

"She has completely disgraced the Bennett family."

Eliza's face twisted in anger, and she suddenly caught sight of Caleb and Evan in the corner, then looked at Cecily.

In an instant, she understood everything.

"It was you two who did this!"

She raised her hand and angrily pointed at the two below.

"You two swapped my dress with hers, didn't you? You're always on her side against me, so you plotted against me!"

Evan and Caleb, of course, wouldn't admit to doing such a thing. Caleb said, "Don't speak like that. Who would plot against you? Don't throw accusations without proof."

Eliza gritted her teeth, her chest heaving with anger.

Although she was furious, she had no way to prove anything at the moment.

Eliza looked at Desmond for help, her face full of grievances. "Mr.Bradshaw, you know, the Bennett family ordered this dress for me. She stole what was mine."

Before Desmond could speak, Sandra's voice rang out clearly among the guests. "In fact, what belongs to someone should rightfully be theirs. The dress ordered by the Bennett family for the heiress should be worn by the true heiress. No matter the effort to claim what's not yours, it's all in vain. Like this dress, no matter how beautifully made on the surface, a counterfeit remains just that, never becoming genuine."

Eliza's sinister gaze fell directly on Sandra.

Sandra listened to the entire conversation from below, feeling particularly angry. She already knew that the person was Eliza, but she had no evidence to tell the truth to those who were in the dark.

What Sandra said left those not in the know baffled.

Eliza trembled with anger, forcing herself to maintain her composure. Her nails dug deep into her palms. Unable to bear the humiliation, she turned around and was about to leave.

"Aren't you going to take it off?" Cecily remained calm. Whether she was being mocked or ridiculed, she remained composed and indifferent.

Eliza's lips twitched mockingly as she moved beside Cecily, sneering, "Do you think you've won just like that? What's mine will always be mine."

Cecily nodded. "Then let's continue and see who the final winner is."

Eliza's face darkened. What was supposed to be her most glorious moment tonight had turned into a complete embarrassment.

What was worse, now everyone knew that there were two Cecilys, and many people must have doubted this situation.

Eliza couldn't swallow this anger.

Why should she be the only one embarrassed tonight?

Her gaze fell on the eight-tier champagne tower set up on the side, and a wicked smirk appeared on her face.

'Cecily likes wearing the same dress as mine and likes to steal and plot against me, causing me embarrassment, right? Then, neither would find peace,' she thought.

Eliza strode forward, reaching the side of the wine glass. She intentionally staggered into a servant carrying bottles of wine and collided with her, causing the wine bottles in the servant's hand to spill and hit the champagne tower, making it sway.

With a crash, it collapsed directly towards Cecily from behind.

"Oh my God!"

"Be careful!"

The guests below were shocked and exclaimed.

Cecily turned around, and the pile of wine glasses was already crashing down towards her.

Her dress and high heels greatly hindered her speed, and she was in a completely unavoidable situation at the moment.

Cecily widened her eyes in surprise, but the expected disaster did not come.

Suddenly, a strong hand wrapped around her waist, pulling her into a broad embrace.

Everything happened in an instant.

Wrapped in a familiar scent, Cecily subconsciously opened her eyes and saw Darian holding her securely in his arms, shielding her with his body as the glasses crashed onto his back.

Instantly, his expensive suit was dripping with spilled alcohol.

Cecily's eyes widened. "Darian!"

Darian lowered his gaze, looking at Cecily in his arms, and his first thought was to reassure her. "Don't worry. I'm fine."

Everyone's faces were filled with astonishment as they looked at the scene.

Sandra was pushed forward by a servant, her expression anxious. "Darian, are you okay?"

Darian steadied Cecily. "I'm fine."

It was obvious that Eliza's action just now was intentional. She deliberately walked to the wine glasses and then pretended to trip!

"Eliza! You've gone too far!" Sandra disregarded everything and shouted directly at Eliza.
