Chapter 446 Tell Everyone What You Did

"I found the original video that had been edited and deleted from the phone."

Griffin pushed the computer toward Cecily, his little face beaming, clearly fishing for praise.

Cecily stared at the screen, stunned. When the video reached the last few seconds and a shadowy figure in black appeared, she looked at Griffin in shock.

"Griffin," Cecily said, eyes wide. "You found the deleted video from the phone?"

"Yep, Mommy! Am I awesome or what?"

Cecily nodded, giving him a thumbs up. "You're amazing, Griffin. How'd you do it?"

Jennifer's phone was with Bryan. Cecily thought the original video was gone for good, so she hadn't even tried looking for it. She didn't expect Griffin to actually find it.

Griffin's face lit up. "Rowan suggested I hack into the phone to find the deleted video."

Cecily didn't expect Rowan and Griffin to come up with their own ideas and help so much.

She hugged them tightly. "Thank you, my darlings. You helped me a lot."

Darian walked over, seeing Cecily hugging Rowan and Griffin. He patted them on the heads and said, "Great job."

Rowan and Griffin were overjoyed, especially Griffin, who looked up eagerly. "Mommy, can we get ice cream? One for Rowan, one for me."

Cecily laughed and tweaked Griffin's nose. "Sure, but not too much since you just recovered."

Kids were easy to please; ice cream could make them happy for hours.

Cecily and Darian watched the original video repeatedly.

The last few seconds showed the murderer, but the figure was almost fully covered, and the footage was blurry. It only roughly showed a woman's figure.

Freezing the frame, Cecily asked, "Who do you think this is?"

She already had an idea.

It was a woman, someone trying to frame her. It had to be Josep and Olivia.

Josep's people were watching them at the hospital. They were the only ones who could've noticed Jennifer's intention to jump so quickly.

Darian replied, "Josep's people."

Cecily nodded. "If I'm right, it's Olivia. They want to frame me, so it had to be a woman. That way, even if caught on camera, the figure would resemble mine.

They didn't have much time to prepare, and Olivia, who's about my height, was the best fit."

Darian's expression turned cold. "But these are just guesses. The video doesn't show the face clearly. The murderer won't admit it, and others won't believe guesses."

"You're right," Cecily said. "So we have to make her confess."

Seeing Cecily's eyes light up with a plan, Darian knew she had an idea.

Cecily saved the video. "Save it first. Even if it's not clear now, it might be useful later."

Meanwhile, in Freya's ward.

Bryan had warned Freya not to cause trouble, but Jennifer's death left her fuming.

She saw the news online and learned what happened while she was in a coma.

So she contacted the reporters.

The ward was noisy, filled with reporters eager to interview Freya, who lay on the bed with red eyes and a pale face. Some even started a live broadcast.

Tears streamed down Freya's cheeks as she began to speak, "Everyone, I am Freya. I just woke up this morning and heard the tragic news that my mother was murdered."

"I also saw the news online. Thank you all for your concern and for speaking out for justice for me and my mom. I really appreciate it."

Freya struggled to sit up and bowed slightly to the camera. She stayed like that for several seconds until a kind female reporter heard her faint sobbing and rushed to help. Freya, head bowed, was crying uncontrollably.

Her desperate sobs echoed in the ward, and several female reporters wiped their own tears.

The live broadcast was flooded with comments.

[This is heartbreaking. She almost died saving someone, and now she wakes up to find her mom was murdered. How desperate she must feel.]

[I can't even imagine. How did her mom die?]

[Cecily hasn't explained anything. She hasn't even visited the person who saved her son's life. She doesn't deserve to be called human.]

[Where is Cecily? She should face justice. How can someone save her son, and she ends up killing that person's mom? It's outrageous that she's still free. Where are the police? Why haven't they arrested Cecily yet?]

When Cecily saw the screen full of curses and Freya's pitiful face, her expression remained unchanged.

She knew Freya wouldn't let this go and would eventually cause a scene.

Cecily turned off her phone and stood up from the sofa.

Seeing Cecily about to leave, Darian asked, "Going to see Freya?"

"It's time," Cecily responded calmly.

Cecily had evidence to counter the online accusations. The evidence Blaise found about hiring assassins was enough to crush Freya.

But Freya did save Rowan. So after Jennifer's incident, Cecily chose not to trouble Freya. As long as Freya didn't cause more trouble, Cecily wouldn't hold it against her.

But now, Freya had brought in so many reporters, pushing the issue back into the spotlight, trying to use public opinion to crush her. If Cecily didn't fight back, not only she but everyone around her would be affected.

Freya's live broadcast continued. She fixed her emotions, thanked everyone again, and said, "I can't believe this is happening.

I never thought that risking my life to save Cecily's child would result in my mom being murdered instead of receiving gratitude. When I found out, I was devastated."

"Miss Cruz, do you believe that Ms. Murphy's death was not a suicide?" a reporter asked.

"Of course not. Why would my mom, who was perfectly fine, commit suicide? Besides, I was still in a coma and needed care. How could my mom commit suicide for no reason? It was Cecily and her mom who did it. I'm sure my mom was killed by them."

Freya became extremely emotional, repeatedly accusing Cecily and Vivienne of killing Jennifer, but she had no evidence.

"Is there any previous grudge between you? Otherwise, why would someone be ungrateful to their child's savior or want to kill someone? Miss Cruz, can you answer this?"

"We..." Freya was momentarily speechless, her eyes flickering, unable to answer immediately.

"I also want to ask this question. Is there any grudge between us?"

A clear voice reached everyone's ears.

Everyone turned to see Cecily standing at the door, calm and cold, as if watching a ridiculous farce. She focused her gaze on Freya.

That gaze was so sharp it made the previously pitiful Freya on the hospital bed tremble.

Freya looked at Cecily, dazed for a second, then quickly snapped back, her eyes filled with hatred, wishing she could tear Cecily apart.

After sacrificing so much, even losing her own mother, while Cecily was still fine, of course, she hated her.

Cecily met her hateful gaze with a cold expression and spoke again, "I also want to know what grudge we have that would make me ungrateful for you saving my child. I'm sure everyone is curious too. Why don't you explain to everyone what you did?"
