Chapter 249 Guys, are you from the mob?

When the person chasing Cecily reached out to grab her, a gunshot rang out, and the bullet directly hit the person's arm. Cecily was startled by the howl of pain. She looked up at the helicopter, a beam of light shining on her slender figure. Those people still had no intention of letting her go and continued to pursue her relentlessly.

Immediately after, several speedboats swiftly approached. Cecily saw seven or eight speedboats, and men in suits and leather shoes stood on each boat, exuding a strong and oppressive aura as they closed in. On the front speedboat, the man held a pistol, and another shot rang out, hitting the people behind her. It was Darian who had arrived.

Cecily turned her head for a glance, gritted her teeth, and steered toward Darian's speedboat without hesitation. Cecily reached out her hand, but the people behind her grew furious at that moment. They directly pulled out their guns and fired at Cecily.

Darian's pupils contracted, and his memory returned to the night over two months ago. His heart tightened. Without any hesitation, Darian bent down and reached out to hold Cecily's waist, effortlessly pulling her up. That bullet grazed Darian's arm and hit the boat.

Darian tightly embraced Cecily, his eyebrows furrowed as he leaned down to check her body, "Are you okay?" Cecily shook her head, "I'm fine." She immediately looked toward the direction of the blond man from just now, "Please help me save that person."

Cecily originally wanted to say, "Help me save that blond man," but it was too dark on the sea surface, and in just a few minutes, the man had already disappeared without a trace. And those who were chasing Cecily, seeing her being rescued onto Darian's boat, were hesitant to act recklessly. The leader quickly said, "The Fitzgerald Family is here, don't confront them head-on, retreat first."

Several people drove away on a speedboat, and everything quickly returned to calm, leaving only Fitzgerald's Family's boat on the sea.

Cecily was still worried about the blond man when suddenly her body was lifted off the ground. She exclaimed, instinctively wrapping her arms around the man's neck, "What are you doing?"

Darian silently carried Cecily to the back seat, then took off his coat and wrapped her small body in it. The worry in his deep eyes couldn't be stopped.

"Sorry, I'm late."

"No, you came just in time," Cecily said, "Can I ask you to search this area again? Someone just risked their life to save me and distract them, but now I don't know what happened."

Just as Cecily was worried, a familiar shout came, "Hello!"

She turned her head and saw the blond man waving at her on a motorboat, with a bunch of people chasing after him, but they didn't dare to hurt him.

It presented a scene where he was having fun in the front while a group of people shouted, "Don't run, don't run" from behind.

This scene was just like him walking a dog.

He was really excited, treating the whole process as if he was playing a game.

After waving to Cecily, he smirked, drove the motorboat away in a flash, and disappeared.

He had just claimed that he hadn't ridden one before, but now he could skillfully leave a group of people far behind.

If he wasn't lying, then his abilities were extraordinary. With just a glance, he could figure out his driving skills.

Cecily might know who the password lock in that villa was meant to protect against.

This man was not simple.

As Darian buttoned up Cecily's clothes, he asked, "Do we still need to save him?"

"No, he's probably just messing with them."

"All right." His voice sounded slightly hoarse, carrying some emotions that Cecily couldn't describe.

Cecily lowered her gaze and thought about what happened with Sandra. She immediately wanted to explain, as intentionally hurting someone carried a heavy accusation that she didn't want to bear.

"I didn't hurt your mother. When I arrived, she was already injured."

"I know."

"Do you believe me?" Cecily blinked her eyes and looked at the man who was crouching in front of her, carefully buttoning her clothes.

According to her calculations, she was now considered a villain by everyone.

Was Darian believing her?

As Darian touched her clothes, he realized that they were splashed with a lot of seawater, and they were all cold and wet. Darian frowned and reached into her clothes.

Cecily was caught off guard when his warm palm accidentally brushed against her sensitive skin and instinctively moved her body back, exclaiming.

Immediately, all the bodyguards on the boat turned to look at them.

Cecily looked up and met the questioning eyes of those around her, with Darian's hand still on her skin. She instantly felt her face flush.

Larkin awkwardly cleared his throat.

"Boss, do we really need to rush like this? This ship is leaking air. If you do something on the ship, can you make sure your wife won't catch a cold?"

Larkin was extremely worried and called out to everyone, "What are you looking at? You often shout about wanting to see the sea view, so why not enjoy it tonight?"

The bodyguards all turned around and looked at the dark sea.

Originally, Cecily was only slightly embarrassed, but Larkin's overt invitation made her even more uncomfortable.

Darian pulled his hand back, his face not looking well, and his shirt was wet.

"I just wanted to see if your clothes inside were wet," Darian said.

Cecily pursed her lips, feeling the lingering warmth of his hand on her skin.

There were no spare clothes available now, so Darian could only order someone to find a place for Cecily to change clothes as soon as possible.

With time being of the essence, Darian was worried that Cecily would catch a cold, so they found a nearby hotel once they left the sea area.

Darian carried Cecily out of the car, with Larkin walking ahead to book the rooms.

Cecily looked back at the massive bodyguards following behind her and covered her face with her hand.

It was truly ostentatious.

"I can walk by myself."

"You stay here," Darian didn't let her down.

"Boss, book the rooms."

The sky was gradually turning white, and the hotel owner was leaning on a chair, on the verge of falling asleep. Larkin knocked on the table, "Boss."

The owner woke up from his daze, wiped the drool from the corner of his mouth, and immediately got up, "Hello, how many rooms do you need?"

He pondered momentarily and took out his card, "We'll take all the remaining rooms."

"All of them?" This secluded hotel wasn't focused on making money; its main priority was peace and quiet. However, they had a big business opportunity now, and the owner was more than happy. When he looked ahead, he saw a man carrying a tightly packed bag, with Cecily in his arms, walking in.

Following closely behind, there was a group of men in identical suits and shoes, all nearly six feet tall, emanating a strong sense of intimidation.

The owner's eyebrows twitched, rubbing his eyes.

This was serious; he had encountered members of the mafia!

As he was lost in his thoughts, Larkin waved his hand in front of him, "Boss?"

"Okay, I'll get it ready for you." The owner absentmindedly handed the room card to Larkin, "Here you go."

Larkin expressed his gratitude and walked toward Darian.

The owner thought to himself that this man was quite polite.

Darian took the room key and carried Cecily upstairs.

The owner pretended to remain calm and muttered to himself, "Why are there still members of the mafia these days?"

Upon hearing this, Larkin was stunned.

The underworld people?

He was talking about them?

As he was thinking, the boss looked at Larkin and asked, "Is the person at the front your boss? Are you in charge of this gang?"

Larkin was speechless, "Who are the underworld people? They definitely cannot be."
