Chapter 316 Our New Home
Hospital, Eliza's room.
"What? He's already by Cecily's side?" Eliza listened to Matthias's report, shocked.
"Yes, the person we dispatched to monitor Cecily and the others returned with a report, and happened to spot him as well.”
Eliza clenched the sheets with her five fingers. "Damn it, how did this happen so quickly."
"But he hasn't remembered the main things, so he hasn't told Cecily anything yet. Otherwise, it wouldn't be so quiet over there.”
“We also discovered that the poison within him is beginning to take effect, as your antidote is no longer suppressing it. If left untreated, he will surely perish within five days of the symptoms appearing. He is aware of this, so he will likely seek you out sooner rather than later.”
Eliza squinted, "You're correct. Have someone remind him earlier. It appears that the obstinate elders in the Bennett family are not keen on welcoming me, so we should expedite our departure to Silver Frost Capital.”
"But what about your injury?"
"This little injury won't take my life, will it? Make arrangements."
"Yes."
Eliza's eyes darkened, a smile tugging at the corner of her mouth. It seemed like she had found a way to deal with Cecily.
When Cecily returns to Silver Frost Capital this time, she couldn’t back to the Bennett family again!
After getting off the plane.
Darian took Cecily into a car, driving himself, and had Larkin drive Rowan, Griffin, and Vincent.
After driving for a while, Cecily realized that they weren't heading towards Fitzgerald's Family.
"Where are we going?" Cecily blinked and asked, "Aren't we going back to Fitzgerald's Family?"
"We're moving to a different place," Darian said in a low voice.
"What about Owen?"
"Don't worry about him."
Cecily was uneasy about the situation. She knew that if Darian was leaving with her and the children because of her, Owen would be furious.
"Take the children back to Fitzgerald's Family. I'll head home. I have Vincent with me now, He can protect me.”
Darian raised an eyebrow. "You want Vincent to stay with you at home? Do you think that's appropriate?"
Cecily paused. "I'll bring Aunt Thalia back."
With Thalia around, they wouldn't be considered completely alone. There was nothing inappropriate about it.
"No," Darian refused without hesitation.
He was already annoyed by Cecily's constant attention, let alone agreeing to have Vincent stay with her at home.
"Owen is likely to be angry with you for this. Additionally, your uncle's family is still residing at the old Fitzgerald Family mansion. If you're not present there, Owen may align more with them, jeopardizing your ability to return to the old mansion. What will you do in that scenario?"
"It makes me happy that you're considering me everywhere," Darian's eyes gradually filled with a smile.
Cecily felt his focus was off, furrowing her brows lightly. "So you better take them back to Fitzgerald's Family. It's dangerous around me now, and I'm afraid the children will be in danger if they stay with me."
Owen may become upset with you for this. Moreover, your uncle's family is currently living in the old Fitzgerald Family mansion. If you are not there, Owen could potentially side with them, putting your chance to return to the old mansion at risk. What will you do in that situation?”
Cecily couldn't argue with him on this matter, so she didn't say anything more.
The car drove smoothly and soon stopped in front of a secluded single villa.
"We're here. Get out and see our new home."
New home!
Cecily's heart trembled slightly at the word "home."
Rowan and Griffin's car was in front of them, and they had already excitedly run inside.
Children were always more excited and curious about new things.
As soon as they got out of the car, the scene in front of them also brightened Cecily's eyes.
Entering, there was a beautiful small garden surrounding a fountain embraced by two angels, bathed in bright warm sunlight, creating a scene full of vitality and beauty.
"Do you still like it?"
"It's very beautiful."
Larkin interjected, " Cecily, this is the villa that Boss had been preparing for you since the last time he brought you back to the Fitzgerald Family. It has been waiting for you to move in."
Cecily blinked. "You've been thinking about moving out before?"
"Yes, go inside and take a look."
Rowan and Griffin had already gone in and come out after a tour. They grabbed Cecily's hand, "Mommy, come in. It's very beautiful inside, it's the style you like."
Cecily smiled. "slow down, be careful not to fall."
The villa's decoration and layout were in warm tones that Cecily liked, showing that whoever arranged it had put thought into it.
After a quick tour, Cecily didn't miss the nervous expression on Darian's face as if waiting for an inspection report. "Do you still like it?"
Cecily smiled between her brows and eyes. "I like it."
Darian reached out and stroked her hair. "As long as you like it."
After resting for a while, Cecily didn't forget to check Vincent's situation.
But he had disappeared since he came back.
Cecily had to search around before she saw him outside the villa, and he didn't look too good at the moment.
Cecily walked up, furrowing her brows. “Previously, you indicated experiencing frequent memory lapses. Is this a result of a brain injury or a past illness?”
Seeing Cecily walk out, Vincent stood up straight and gave her a faint smile. "Why do you keep asking about this?"
"Because it's important."
Vincent raised an eyebrow slightly, his forehead relaxing. "No external injuries, no illness."
It was because he had been poisoned by that wicked woman.
Vincent's eyes darkened.
But at the moment, Vincent had no intention of telling Cecily.
“Please, stop asking. It's an old issue. It could be from a past injury, or perhaps I simply forgot. I even forgot my own original name, after all.”
Cecily looked deeply at him.
Whether he was hiding something or telling the truth, Cecily could still tell.
Unable to ask further, Cecily had to stop for now. "When you're ready to talk, I hope you'll tell me."
"Let's go in for dinner first. A room has been arranged for you to stay temporarily."
Vincent slightly curved his lips. "Okay."
Cecily watched Vincent's back, still feeling somewhat worried.
