Chapter 489 Bryan, What Do You Want to Do?

Gary drove Cecily and Aurelie home. As they got out, Bryan's car pulled up behind them.

After the last incident with Declan and Hayden, Cecily was on edge and instinctively flinched when a car stopped nearby. She glanced over and recognized Bryan's car.

Bryan got out, looking normal but with a hint of urgency in his eyes. "I need to talk to you," he said.

"What is it?" Cecily asked calmly, unsure how to feel about this man she was supposed to call her father.

Bryan stayed silent.

"Come inside and talk," Cecily suggested, stepping forward.

"No need, I'll just say a few words here," Bryan replied, glancing at Aurelie.

Aurelie, sensing Bryan wanted to talk to Cecily alone, headed inside.

Cecily looked at Bryan. "What is it? Go ahead."

She figured he had nothing new to say. Usually, he just asked her to pass messages to Vivienne. Today, she had a conflict with Freya, so maybe it was about that.

Bryan finally spoke. "Freya has been kidnapped."

Cecily's expression changed as she was genuinely surprised. Freya had been kidnapped? Why was he telling her?

She thought about it. She had a conflict with Freya at the funeral, and now Freya had been kidnapped. Was she a suspect again?

"Freya's been kidnapped, and you came to me. Are you suspecting I had her kidnapped?"

Bryan's eyes were deep and unreadable, filled with emotions Cecily couldn't grasp. His lips tightened, and a flash of guilt crossed his face. "Cecily, I'm sorry."

Before she could react, a quick chop landed on her neck from behind, knocking her out. Bryan caught her as she fell.

The two bodyguards at the door were stunned. They hadn't expected this from Bryan, who was family. But now, Cecily had clearly been knocked out by his people. The bodyguards immediately stepped forward, but Bryan's team, who were prepared and outnumbered them, quickly subdued them.

Aurelie, who was sitting in the living room, glanced toward the door through the large window. She didn't see Cecily and Bryan, and Cecily hadn't returned, soshe stood up suspiciously and noticed the unconscious bodyguards on the ground.

Aurelie frowned and quickly walked out. Bryan's car door was just closing, ready to leave. Cecily was missing, and the bodyguards had been knocked out.

Aurelie sensed something was wrong. She rushed to the car window and saw Cecily lying in the back seat. Her pupils contracted, and she panicked. "Bryan, what are you doing? Where are you taking Cecily?"

Bryan didn't answer and sped away. Aurelie, clinging to the car, lost her balance and fell as it drove off. Her knees and palms scraped the ground, and the pain was immediate. But more concerning was the sharp pain in her lower abdomen. She clutched her abdomen, feeling a sticky sensation under her skirt. It felt very painful.

She raised her hand, and the sight of blood drained the color from her face.

"Gary! Gary!!" Aurelie shouted hoarsely toward the house.

Gary, who had just parked the car and walked into the living room, heard her and immediately ran outside. The car was gone, and he saw Aurelie on the ground, clutching her abdomen, with blood on the ground and two unconscious bodyguards nearby.

"Aurelie!" Gary rushed over. "What happened?"

Aurelie, who was in pain, took a couple of deep breaths. "I don't know. Bryan knocked out Cecily and took her away. Call Aunt Vivienne, quick."

Gary dialed the phone and handed it to Aurelie, then picked her up. "I'll take you to the hospital."

Aurelie took the phone, and Vivienne quickly answered. "Aurelie, what's wrong?"

Aurelie, gasping in pain, said, "Aunt Vivienne, Bryan took Cecily. I don't know why."

Vivienne immediately asked, "When did this happen?"

"Just now," Aurelie replied, terrified. Her baby. The doctor and Cecily had warned her that the first three months of pregnancy were the most prone to miscarriage. She was so nervous she felt as if her heart was about to jump out of her chest.

"Okay, I'll call him. Are you in pain? Are you okay?" Vivienne asked anxiously.

Aurelie bit her lip to avoid worrying Vivienne. "I'm fine. Just find out what's going on with Bryan."

After speaking, Aurelie had no strength left. She felt herself being placed in a car and then everything went dark.

Vivienne didn't know why Bryan had taken Cecily. She called him repeatedly, but he hung up each time. She then called Sam, who answered.

"Where's Bryan? What's he doing? Tell him to answer my call immediately."

Sam looked at Cecily in the back seat and said, "Sorry, ma'am. The boss is busy right now. He'll call you back when he's done." Then he hung up.

Vivienne panicked. What was Bryan thinking? Why had he taken Cecily?

She couldn't figure it out. Bryan wasn't a bad person and wouldn't harm Cecily for no reason. Today, Cecily had a minor conflict with Freya, but Bryan wouldn't take Cecily away just for that.

Vivienne called her people to check the surveillance and track Bryan's car.

Meanwhile, Darian had found where Sandra was hidden. As he was about to board a helicopter to rescue her, he noticed two messages on his phone from forty minutes ago. One was a video of Freya being kidnapped.

Darian paused, frowning, and then his phone rang. It was Vivienne.

Without hesitation, Darian answered, "Aunt Vivienne."

Vivienne quickly said, "Bryan took Cecily for some unknown reason. I only have his license plate number and I don't know where he's headed. Can you help check the road surveillance?"

Darian's heart sank. "When did this happen?"

"About ten minutes ago."

As Darian heard that and thought about the video of Freya being kidnapped, he felt a chill run up his spine.
