Chapter 520 Blaise Saved Freya

The atmosphere was tense.

Larkin wiped the sweat from his forehead. "Blaise! Please consider Miss Watson. Freya owes Miss Watson too much. If she dies like this, wouldn't it be too easy for her?"

Larkin wasn’t sure if he had convinced Blaise. He saw Blaise move slightly, his gaze fixed on him, the coldness emanating from Blaise making Larkin shiver.

"She's still useful, and she can't die yet?" Blaise then asked.

Larkin braced himself and quickly replied, "Yes."

Blaise glanced sideways, then looked away. "Alright."

Larkin let out a long sigh of relief. "Quick, save her."

"Wait."

Blaise raised an eyebrow, walked over, looked down at Freya, whose face was awfully pale and was constantly calling for help. He took out his phone and said to Freya, "Smile."

Smile?

Larkin asked, "Blaise, what are you doing?"

Blaise lifted aneyebrow slightly, his gaze playful. "Shouldn't we let Cecily enjoy this wonderful moment too?"

"Quick, save her. I can't hold on any longer!" Bryan shouted.

The next second, his palm, made even more slippery by sweat, lost its grip, and the hand he was holding onto slipped out of his grasp.

Freya's eyes widened, and she screamed in despair.

With an icy look in his eyes,, Blaise reached out, grabbed Freya with force, and pulled her up.

Freya, losing her balance, fell towards Blaise, who quickly dodged and pushed her into Larkin's arms. "You were in a hurry to save her, so you can support her."

"I..." Larkin, who was always focused on work and had been single for nearly thirty years, blushed as he suddenly found himself holding a woman and immediately pushed Freya away.

Blaise sneered and turned to leave.

Freya fell heavily to the ground, gasping for breath after narrowly escaping death.

She had never felt so close to death.

Just a little more, and she would have really died.

Bryan's heart was still pounding, and his forehead and back were covered in cold sweat.

"Dad," Freya sobbed.

"Are you crazy? Huh? Are you crazy? Do you want to end up like Jennifer?" Bryan was terrified upon seeing Freya almost fall.

If he had been a bit slower, she would have been gone.

"Dad, I just, I just don't want to go on like this anymore. I'd rather die." Freya trembled, hugging herself and crying uncontrollably.

Bryan was utterly frustrated. He didn't want to deal with Freya, but he had no choice. He was really afraid of a repeat of today's situation.

He couldn't just stand by and watch Freya die.

He bent down, reached out, and helped Freya up. "Let's go."

"Dad? Where, where to?"

"Home." Bryan couldn't let Freya stay in the hospital any longer.

He feared that one day, he would come to the hospital and find Freya's cold corpse. He didn't dare to think further.

Freya was immediately overjoyed.

She knew Bryan would soften.

Larkin stood aside, not stopping them, but said, "Mr. Whitaker, I think I need to remind you that no matter where you put her, whether in the hospital or at home, she can't escape. Besides, she belongs to Josep. If you want to continue being our enemy, you can take her away."

Bryan replied in a deep voice, "Don't worry. I won't send her away again. I'll find someone to watch her, making sure that she doesn't speak out of turn and that she doesn't contact Josep again."

"You guarantee? How do you guarantee?" Larkin asked.

"We're in Silver Frost Capital now. If Darian wants to kill us, it wouldn't be difficult. I have no reason to risk my life." Bryan sighed, "And I know this is my fault to Cecily, and I can't make it up to her. I won't cause her more trouble, so I'll keep an eye on Freya. You don't want to see her jump off a building again, do you?"

Larkin pressed his lips tightly, saying nothing more. After all, Freya was already under their watchful eyes.

Bryan took Freya home. Just as Freya breathed a sigh of relief, she found that Bryan had ordered the windows to be sealed and all electronic devices that could contact the outside world to be taken away. He also had the villa's doors locked.

Freya panicked. "Dad, what are you doing?"

"From today on, you'll stay home and recover. There will be servants and doctors to take care of you."

"Dad, what about you?"

Bryan turned and left.

Freya tried to follow, but two servants dragged her back into the villa. Bryan left without looking back.

Freya was dumbfounded. This was just moving from a small cage to a bigger one, with no freedom at all!

Bryan was so heartless.

It was all because of Cecily. It was her fault!

Everyone protected her and helped her, but why?

Freya really hated it. She hated herself even more for not having the chance to kill Cecily.

She better not find an opportunity, or she would never let Cecily go!

In Cecily's ward.

Cecily received a message from Blaise, a photo of Freya hanging outside a window after jumping. From the photo, it looked like Bryan was saving her, while Blaise was happily taking picture and sending it to her.

Only he would do something like this.

"Freya jumped off the building." Cecily looked at Darian beside her.

Darian, holding a fruit knife, was carefully peeling an apple. He frowned slightly, not surprised. "Larkin went to handle it."

Cecily raised an eyebrow, saying nothing more. Since Darian had sent Larkin to handle it, Freya was probably fine.

At that moment, there were two knocks on the door, and a bodyguard came in. "Boss, Percy and Josep are at the hospital. It looks like they're here to see Miss Watson."

Darian squinted. "They probably heard from Evander that you're in the hospital and came to test the waters."

Cecily's hand on the blanket clenched bit by bit.

She remained silent, but her mind were filled with turbulent emotions.

These two were the ones who caused the death of her unborn child. If Freya was used, they were the masterminds.

"Send them away." Darian said coldly.

"No." Cecily looked at Darian. "I should see them. Since they don't know you haven't lost your memory, we should keep up the act."

Cecily's face was pale, but her eyes were resolute.
