Chapter 691 Bryan Discovers Someone Bullying Cecily
"Alright, let's go," Cecily said.
She didn't want to ruin her mood by arguing with them.
"Hey, aren't you going to do something about the way your kid talks?" One of them, still upset, called out to Cecily's group.
"Why don't you watch your mouth?" Cecily turned back to look at the person, her tone calm but with a hint of coldness.
"How rude! It's just like someone from a humble background like yours to try and infiltrate our circle. No chance!" someone sneered.
"So what? Are you really any better?" Cecily replied calmly, her tone devoid of emotion, yet it infuriated the other person even more.
A car stopped at the hotel entrance, and Giselle saw Cecily being stopped by the staff. Smirking, she turned to her friend, Cecilia Thorne, and said, "You go in first. I'll make a call in the car and be right there."
Cecilia nodded. "Alright, but hurry up."
Cecily didn't want to argue with these people, but they seemed determined not to let them leave.
Because of their incessant chatter, they blocked the entrance, and more and more people gathered, stopping to watch the commotion.
Cecilia happened to walk over and asked one of the troublemakers, Imogen Fairfax, "What's going on?"
It was clear that these people knew each other.
Imogen spoke with even more disdain, "Just teaching some people who don't know the rules. These people forged an invitation to get into our party and were stopped by the staff. I said a few words to them, and they got upset. Isn't that ridiculous?"
Hearing this, the surrounding people looked at them with disdain.
"Forged invitations? Who would do something so disgraceful?"
"Exactly, like idiots. Haven't they ever attended such a party? Don't they know invitations are checked?"
"Of course, they haven't attended. They just want to crash our party for free food and drinks. There are many such people; you just haven't seen them."
The woman named Imogen became even more arrogant. "Did you hear that? Hurry up and apologize for what you just said. I might reluctantly forgive you. If I'm in a good mood, I might even take you into the party to broaden your horizons. What do you all think?"
As soon as Imogen finished speaking, there was a burst of laughter from the crowd.
"Sam, go see what's happening." Inside the hotel, Bryan, who was about to leave, heard the commotion at the entrance.
Sam immediately went over and saw Cecily and her group surrounded. He asked around to find out what was going on and then reported back to Bryan.
"Mr. Whitaker, it's Mrs. Fitzgerald here for a party. For some reason, her invitation was found to be fake, so she was stopped outside. Some people are mocking her, saying she used a fake invitation to get into the party and are giving her a hard time," Sam said.
Hearing this, Bryan's face turned cold. "Who's hosting the party tonight?"
"It's the Vasquez family. I heard they organized the party because they found out Mrs. Fitzgerald returned to the Bennett family and wanted to meet her."
"Tell the Vasquez family and the hotel manager to come out and see me." Bryan's voice was deep and cold.
Sam didn't dare delay and immediately went to handle it.
Those people were really bold! They actually dared to belittle her!
This hotel belonged to the Whitaker family.
In the future, all of this would belong to Cecily.
Outside, Giselle saw the timing was right and slowly got out of the car, lifting her dress as she walked in.
"Cecilia, why are you still standing here and not going in?" Giselle called out. She was dressed in a high-end custom gown, with her hair and makeup meticulously done. At this moment, she was undoubtedly dazzling.
Everyone knew Giselle. Seeing her arrive, the people around immediately started flattering her.
"Miss Bennett, you're here! Wow, that dress is beautiful. It's the latest high-end custom design, right? It's so hard to get one of those."
"Isn't it easy for Miss Bennett to get a high-end custom dress?"
"By the way, Miss Bennett, where's Ms. Bennett? Everyone's looking forward to seeing her tonight. Didn't she come with you?"
"Yeah, where's Ms. Bennett?"
Giselle didn't answer this question, pretending not to see Cecily in the crowd.
In fact, Cecily had just made eye contact with Giselle. Giselle raised her chin arrogantly at Cecily, as if that would crush her.
Cecily just smiled slightly, not saying a word.
The flattery around Giselle didn't stop. Everyone knew she was the second daughter of the Bennett family, and the Bennett family was not a family to be offended.
"Miss Bennett, please go inside. Don't stand here. You wouldn't believe it, but some people tried to get into the party with a fake invitation. Standing with such people lowers our status." Imogen took Giselle's arm and was about to walk in.
At this moment, the Vasquez family members hosting the party and the hotel manager came out nervously.
The hotel manager didn't even have time to catch his breath and hurriedly asked, "Which one of you is Ms. Bennett?"
"Here, here." Imogen pulled Giselle forward, "Miss Bennett is here."
Seeing the hotel manager come out, everyone focused their attention on this side.
Giselle's friend Cecilia also took Giselle's hand and stepped forward, "Giselle, you really have a lot of influence. Look, as soon as you arrived, the hotel manager and the Vasquez family members came out to welcome you personally."
Giselle smiled slightly. She hadn't expected that her arrival would prompt the hotel manager and the Vasquez family members to come out to greet her personally.
This was undoubtedly a very respectful gesture.
Giselle raised her chin, her smile even more triumphant.
