Chapter 301 He Wouldn't Be with Cecily Anymore

The man shook his head. "I forgot."

Cecily couldn't help but feel a bit lost. She exchanged a glance with Darian, then looked back at the man in front of her.

“Sis, give me a name, and I'll stick by your side from now on," he declared.

Cecily hesitated for a moment before asking, "You'd follow me?"

"Yes, you're the only one I remember now. Without following you, I have nowhere to go, so please let me stay with you, sis.”

"Well..."

"Do you mind me following you, sis?"

Cecily felt a bit uncomfortable being called sis by him. "Maybe you shouldn’t calling me sis.”

"I don't know your name. If not sis, should I call you auntie?" The man chuckled, "You're not much older than me, so it doesn't seem appropriate."

Cecily tugged at her lip. "Yeah, that's true. I'm Cecily Watson, just call me by my full name."

"That's impolite. How about I call you Watson?"

Cecily fell into a moment of silence.

Cecily, "Why don't you just call me as before."

"Okay, sis, give me a name." He asked again.

Cecily blinked. "What do you want to be called?"

"You can call me whatever you want. Since your surname is Watson, my surname will be Watson too."

"No." Cecily shook her head. She wasn't part of the Watson's Family, had no blood relation with anyone there. If not for being used to the name, she would have changed her surname.

After some consideration, she suggested, "For now, let's go with Bennett as your name. You can call yourself Vincent temporarily. When you recall your original name, you can switch back."

"Vincent, I like it," he responded with a smile. With a new name in hand, he joyfully approached Cecily, stating, "I'll follow your lead from now on.”

Seeing him getting close to Cecily, Darian pulled Cecily a bit closer. "It's cold outside. Let's get in the car."

"What about him?"

"Are you really planning to take him with us?"

Cecily gazed at the man before her, his eyes conveying a sense of clarity and innocence. He had just revealed that he had no recollection of his past and had been tasked with finding and safeguarding her by an unknown individual. Sensing a potential lead, Cecily decided to bring him along.

"Yes, we're taking him."

Darian glanced at the man, seeing Cecily's determination, he didn't say anything more. "Alright, as you wish."

Darian opened the car door for Cecily to get in. Cecily looked at Vincent. "Vincent, get in."

"Alright."

After Cecily got in the car, the man who had been standing behind suddenly rushed in and sat next to Cecily.

He was incredibly fast, surprising Cecily.

"What are you doing?"

Darian, who was still by the car door, saw his spot taken and his face darkened. "Get out."

Vincent glanced at Darian lazily and withdrew his gaze. "No, I have to protect my sis, so I naturally have to sit with her. Why are your ex-husband getting so close to you, sis?"

"How do you know he's my ex-husband?" Cecily was puzzled.

"I checked you before coming to make sure I wouldn't make a mistake. But don't worry, I did it to confirm your identity, to understand the people and things around you." Vincent said lightly.

"So I know he's your ex-husband. He hurt you before, sis, such a man should be kept at a distance."

Darian's expression darkened significantly. This man, who seemed to appear out of thin air, not only wanted to pursue his wife but also attempted to create conflict between them.

Darian's face was as dark as it could be. "You're sitting in my car, telling me to get out, quite interesting."

"Is this his car?" Vincent's clear eyes looked at Cecily.

Cecily nodded. "Yes."

Vincent smirked, "Don't worry, sis. When I make money, I'll buy you a car so you won't have to ride in this jerk's car anymore."

Cecily chuckled lightly, finding this man quite amusing.

"Get out." Darian's voice was cold.

Vincent promptly exited and took a seat in the front. As Larkin approached and noticed the additional person in the vehicle, he was confused and asked, "Boss, who is this?”

"Ignore him; let's go back to the hotel."

"Okay."

Darian's mood wasn't great, and the atmosphere inside the car was chilly.

Vincent continued to engage Cecily in conversation throughout the journey, not allowing Darian an opportunity to speak, causing his expression to grow even more sour.

Back at the hotel, Vincent stuck to Cecily like glue, making Darian wish he could just kick him out.

The elevator "dinged" as it reached their floor.

As the elevator doors opened, Cecily saw a familiar face.

It was Ophelia.

She had noticed Ophelia at the banquet.

She hadn't anticipated her following them here, but it wasn't unexpected. If she was determined to discover their location, it wouldn't be challenging for her.

Upon seeing Darian, Ophelia's eyes lit up, "Darian."

Darian completely ignored her, taking Cecily with him to leave.

Ophelia persistently caught up. "Darian, I need to talk to you."

She reached out her hand to halt them, her eyes pleading, "Darian, just give me five minutes. I have something crucial to tell you about Cecily. Once you hear it, you'll understand why being with her is not the right choice. Please, can you spare me five minutes to explain?”
