Chapter 573: The Whole Truth, The Death of Two Villains 2

Josep kept yelling, "This is all lies! He's being played! This is total BS!"

"BS? Josep, all the proof is right here, and you still wanna deny it? Don't you think that's a joke?" Cecily shot back, looking at him like he was nothing.

The crowd around them was buzzing with anger.

"Man, I can't believe Josep did something so messed up. Killing his own family? That's cold."

"It's so sad. Owen never saw it coming, getting offed by his own blood."

"What are we waiting for? Lock this guy up for life already!" The crowd was getting rowdy.

Josep, who was just trying to explain himself, looked around all freaked out. His eyes went dark, and he muttered, "It's over."

At that moment, he even thought about ending it all.

Then he spotted Percy standing off to the side. He had a lightbulb moment and shouted, "Percy!"

Percy's face was a mess of panic. Seeing Josep looking at him, he yelled, "Get this family-killer outta here! Don't let him stay in my party!"

Josep looked at Percy, eyes wild, "Percy, you set this all up, didn't you? You wanna take me out."

Even though Percy didn't do it, Josep's crazy look made him feel guilty.

'Cause Josep knew Percy had the evidence, and he knew Sawyer was Percy's guy.

Percy had no way to explain himself, so he could only try to shut Josep up.

But Josep had already decided if he was going down, Percy was coming with him.

"Cecily, you've heard about my dark history. Wanna hear about Percy's?" Josep shouted with a nasty grin.

Cecily raised an eyebrow.

The real drama was about to start.

She looked at Josep, then at Percy, "What exactly? Spill it."

"Cecily, don't listen to him. Josep's lost it," Percy tried to convince her.

Cecily gave him a cold smile, "But I wanna hear what he's got to say. I need the truth too."

"Cecily, you don't know, do you? The plan to kidnap Darian to see if he had amnesia and make him choose between you and Freya? That was all Percy," Josep yelled.

Percy's face went pale, "Cecily, none of this is true. He's lying. It's all BS. Don't listen to him."

"If it's not true, why are you freaking out?" Cecily asked.

"Yeah, Percy, why you freaking out if it's not true?" Josep sneered, "Cecily, that's not all. Remember the shooter? Percy sent them to make you lose the baby. He wanted his son to marry you but didn't want you joining the Lockwood family pregnant, so he had someone shoot at you."

Even though Cecily had known this for a while, hearing it again made her heart sink.

It had cost her her child and almost her life.

And all because Percy wanted what she had.

How selfish and greedy he was.

"Shut up," Percy's face was ghostly white, "Cecily, he's trying to mess things up. This is all lies. Everything he's saying is what he did, and now he's blaming me 'cause he doesn't want this wedding to happen."

"Lies? Percy, have you no shame? Your intentions are so obvious, and you're still trying to argue. My goal was to see if Darian really had amnesia. I didn't even know Cecily was pregnant then, so why would I target her kid? And you, all you wanted was for your son to marry Cecily. Your intentions are clear as day, and yet you accuse me of lying. Do you think everyone here is an idiot?" Josep said.

Facing Josep's accusations, Percy was grinding his teeth so hard they might break, "Got any proof? Without proof, you're just talking crap."

"Proof? Isn't the current situation proof enough? If you had no hidden agenda, why'd you force your son to marry Cecily? Don't tell me you genuinely like Cecily as a daughter-in-law with no other motives," Josep sneered.

Percy gritted his teeth, his whole body shaking with fear.

If this got confirmed, not only would the wedding be off, but the Bennett family, the Whitaker family, and the Fitzgerald family would come after him.

Percy took a deep breath, trying to keep his cool. "Alright, since you're saying all this, let me ask you, the truth Cecily found was your people did all that. Now you're trying to drag me down because your dirty laundry's out. Got any proof?"

Josep clenched his teeth in anger. He should've kept some evidence back then. Now, without any proof, Percy had found a loophole.

Seeing Josep lose his earlier bravado, Percy chuckled and kept going, "Everyone, you see? He's throwing around accusations without a shred of proof. By that logic, I could just as easily accuse anyone here of being responsible for Cecily, couldn't I?"

Percy wasn't entirely wrong.

Everyone nodded in agreement.

Seeing the crowd leaning his way, Percy breathed a sigh of relief and said to Cecily, "Cecily, don't believe his words. How could I harm your child? It's simply absurd."

Cecily looked at Percy calmly, "But I have a recording here that I'd like everyone to listen to."

"What recording?" Percy's recently relaxed expression tensed up again, and he suddenly felt uneasy.

Cecily snapped her fingers, and a recording began to play.

It was Percy's voice, "The hotel's arrangements for the wedding and the guests are up to you. Remember, I have two requirements. First, arrange more people for the wedding day. I want everything to be foolproof, no repeats of what happened on the proposal day. Second, make the event grand. Invite all the prominent people from Silver Frost Capital, especially the Fitzgerald family. Make sure they attend."

Landon said, "Aren't you afraid of provoking Josep? The shares of Fitzgerald Group are still in Cecily's hands. If you push Josep too far, he might tell Cecily that you were the mastermind behind the kidnapping and her miscarriage. Wouldn't that be terrible?"

Percy sneered and continued, "I have all the evidence of him killing Patrick. Would he dare to report me to Cecily? If he dares, he'll be the first to go down."

"Dad, you shouldn't be so careless," Landon said.

Percy sneered, "He wouldn't dare go down with me."

The recording ended, and the crowd went nuts.

Someone said, "Isn't that Percy's and Landon's voices? Josep was telling the truth."

"This is terrifying. To harm Cecily for his selfish desires, Cecily had no beef with Percy, yet he caused her miscarriage," others sighed.

How did such a recording get out?

Percy was in a panic, and Landon was equally shocked. The two exchanged glances, and Percy remembered the conversation. It was when he and Landon were in his study at home.

The study!

Percy suddenly thought of something, and his face turned extremely grim.

"You recorded it," Percy said to Cecily.

The only person who could have recorded it at the Lockwood Manor was Cecily.

"Yeah, it was me," Cecily admitted. "I've been waiting a long time to find evidence of you harming me."

Seeing this, Percy understood everything.

Cecily had known from the beginning that he caused her miscarriage. She had been biding her time, entering the Lockwood Manor to gather evidence, agreeing to the wedding, and inviting everyone to the wedding to expose the crimes of him and Josep.

At her own grand wedding, with all eyes on her, she exposed their crimes in the most spectacular fashion imaginable.

This was Cecily's revenge for herself, her child, and Darian.

"Good!" Percy suddenly laughed maniacally, his eyes fixed on Cecily like he wanted to tear her apart.

"When did you start planning all this? Tell me so I can die in peace," Percy asked.

Cecily looked at him, "From the second day I woke up in the hospital, I knew it was all your plan."

"So you were acting with us from the beginning, pretending to agree to enter the Lockwood Manor just to get evidence, right?" Percy sneered.

"You started the act, so I played along," Cecily's eyes showed no emotion.

"It was really a good strategy." Percy laughed uncontrollably, having gotten all the answers.

Cecily had known the whole truth much earlier than he had imagined.

So from the beginning, their attempts to please and act in front of Cecily were like jokes. She had seen through everything and was just playing along.

He prided himself on being smart and cautious, but he had been outsmarted at home, where she took the most crucial evidence, pushing him into an abyss.

At this moment, Percy didn't know whether to laugh at his own stupidity or praise Cecily's intelligence.
