Chapter 184 These Two are Shameless
Owen pondered for a moment and nodded, "Well, aside from this incident, she is indeed the most suitable wife for Darian."
The family background, appearance, and education were impeccable, making her a respectable wife candidate.
It wouldn't be Cecily if it wasn't Ophelia or any other noblewoman.
"Yes."
"Take this paternity test, shut up that bodyguard, and have someone forge another paternity test. As for the truth of this matter, I will find time to tell Darian."
"Yes, I'll take care of it right away."
Sawyer left in a hurry.
Owen looked at the photo, his eyes darkened, and he turned and walked out.
"Someone, prepare the car. We're going to the hospital."
He wanted to see those two children.
His son's grandchildren.
...
Hospital ward.
After Sandra took a brief look at the children, she left.
Cecily bent down and tucked the blanket for the sleeping Rowan, her gaze full of tenderness. She looked at the sleeping Griffin by his side and walked over to gently cover him with a blanket.
After doing all this, she turned to Darian and said softly, "It's late. You should go back first. Let Griffin stay here. I'll take him to bed later."
However, Darian didn't stand up. Instead, he motioned for her to come over. "Come here."
"What for?"
"To apply medicine."
Cecily hesitated slightly. "What kind of medicine?"
Darian's expression wasn't good. "The doctor said you haven't been taking your medicine properly lately."
Cecily pursed her lips lightly. "Yeah, I've been too busy and forgot. I'll ask the nurse to help me later."
"I'll do it for you."
Cecily's eyelashes trembled slightly. She immediately refused, "No need. I'll ask the nurse to help me later."
"They're off duty."
"There are ones on duty."
To change the dressing on her back, she would have to take off her shirt. How could she let Darian do it?
"Are you going to occupy their time when they're busy?" Darian looked at her expressionlessly and asked.
Cecily replied, "I can do it myself."
"Why don't you use free labor when you have it? Why bother doing it yourself?"
Was he referring to himself as the free labor?
Cecily lightly tugged at her lip. Darian had already stood up, his strong hand gripping her wrist, pulling her toward the bathroom.
"Don't dawdle. I'm in a hurry."
"If you're in a hurry, you can leave. I didn't ask you to stay."
Darian didn't move. "I suddenly don't feel rushed anymore."
Cecily was speechless.
Cecily looked at his icy appearance and felt the temperature in the room drop.
She hurriedly grabbed onto the doorframe. "I really can do it myself. You don't need to help me."
Darian's eyebrows twitched as he lifted his gaze to look at her, seeing Cecily's resistant expression and immediately understanding her thoughts.
"What are you shy about? I've seen every part of you..." Darian teased.
Cecily bit her lip and raised her hand to cover Darian's mouth. "Just shut up."
Darian lightly smirked and laughed, gently pushing away Cecily's hand. "All right, if you're shy when I see you without clothes, then I'll do the same. Will you still be shy then?"
Cecily was greatly shocked.
Were they going to undress their upper bodies in the bathroom and look at each other?
What a perverted suggestion.
"Get lost," Cecily retorted.
Darian glanced at Cecily's slightly blushing face as he lowered his gaze. "Hurry up. If you keep dawdling, I won't mind forcing you."
Cecily was about to say something, but Darian didn't give her a chance to refuse. He pulled her into the bathroom, locked the door, and, without any further discussion, began undressing her.
"I can do it myself," Cecily immediately stepped back. "Turn around."
Darian obediently complied, giving her a glance before turning around.
Due to the injury on her back, Cecily had been wearing loose-fitting clothes lately, which were easy to take off.
Although Darian had turned around, he could still hear the rustling sound of Cecily undressing.
After a minute of struggle, Cecily finally spoke up. "Done."
Darian turned around and saw Cecily with her back exposed, clothes held to her chest, covering her front. She had her back turned to him.
Darian's gaze fell on the woman's back, her fair skin juxtaposed with the white bandage. The bandage lay across her originally smooth and fair back, appearing particularly out of place.
Darian's eyes darkened.
Seeing that Cecily, who was behind him, hadn't moved, she bit her lip and slightly turned her head. "Could you please be a bit faster?"
"Mhmm."
Darian approached and reached out to remove the bandage from her back. When his slightly cool fingertips touched Cecily's skin, Cecily's body trembled lightly.
Darian lifted his gaze and looked at the woman who braced herself on the sink, biting her lip with her head lowered. His dark eyes deepened.
After removing the bandage, Darian looked at the wound exposed in front of him. His narrow eyebrows furrowed tightly. Although he had seen it before, every time he looked at it, an uncontrollable anger surged within him.
Pausing briefly, he reached for the ointment and cotton swabs next to him, dipped the swab in the ointment, and carefully applied it to her wound.
Some parts of the wound had already scabbed over, but even the slightly deeper areas still caused pain when the ointment came into contact.
"Ah..." Cecily closed her eyes and took a deep breath, inhaling sharply.
Seeing this, Darian lightened the pressure of his fingers even more.
At that moment, Owen pushed open the door and entered the room. Seeing that there was no one in the hospital room, Owen frowned and turned to Sawyer, "What's going on? There isn't even a nanny to take care of him. What are they doing..."
Before Owen could finish speaking, a deep voice came from the bathroom, "Is it hurting?"
"A little."
"Then I'll be gentle, endure it."
"Mmm..."
Upon hearing this, Owen's face turned dark. These two people... they are simply shameless. The child is outside, and they are in here... in here...
Owen furrowed his brow fiercely. He never expected his grandson to become so unreasonable.
Sawyer lowered his gaze and said, "Sir, Mr. Fitzgerald... he is young and spirited. Please don't be angry."
"Hmph." Owen snorted in anger, and his gaze fell upon the child lying on the hospital bed. He quickened his pace and walked over.
Looking at the two small figures on the bed, one lying down and the other propped up, an indescribable joy surged on his face. His great-grandchildren, two of them!
The joy on Owen's face was hard to contain. He suddenly realized that he had two great-grandchildren, and naturally, he was happy.
"Sir, Rowan, and Griffin look quite similar to Mr. Fitzgerald when he was young," Sawyer said with a smile.
Owen nodded slightly. He used to find them displeasing when he thought they were not his great-grandchildren, but now that he knew they were, he found them pleasing to the eye and saw resemblances to Darian no matter how he looked at them.
"Good, good, good." Owen exclaimed happily and lowered his voice, "I will personally raise these two children by my side."
The fact that Owen wanted to personally raise them showed his love for the children.
"Grandpa, why are you here?" Darian came out of the bathroom and saw Owen standing next to the children.
Darian's expressionless face immediately turned serious.
