Chapter 517 The Two Kids Vanished into Thin Air

Cecily looked at Bryan with sorrowful eyes.

She was wondering, 'Had he never considered, if what Darian said was true, if Vivienne wasn't lying to him, and I really am his biological daughter, what would he do?'

Even if she wasn't his biological daughter, what right did he have to use her in an exchange? Was that fair to her?

Since waking up, Cecily hadn't mentioned the matter again, making everyone think she no longer cared about it.

However, being used in an exchange, losing a child, and having it caused by her biological father—how could Cecily come to terms with that?

Cecily wasn't that magnanimous; she couldn't accept everything. She was just an ordinary person who could feel sadness, grief, and find it hard to let go.

Bryan stood frozen, unable to utter a word.

Recently, the words "biological daughter" had been echoing in his ears every day.

It was as if everyone was telling him, "Cecily is your biological daughter. She really is!"

But how could that be? Back then, Vivienne had been desperate to escape him andto abort his child. How could Cecily be that child?

However, then he thought, ‘What if Vivienne hadn't aborted the child? What if she had lied to him back then?’

Bryan's heart skipped a beat.

"Dad, it hurts."

Hearing Cecily's words, Freya panicked and quickly interrupted Bryan's thoughts by crying out in pain.

"Dad, it really hurts. Am I going to die? I'm so scared. Am I really gonna die?" Freya cried out in pain, her heart pounding violently.

She couldn't let Bryan know that Cecily was his biological daughter; she had to keep it.

Otherwise, she would be the one being abandoned. Bryan wouldn't love her anymore; he would love his biological daughter, Cecily.

Bryan wouldn't protect her anymore; he would remember how she had harmed Cecily and might even seek revenge.

The thought of these things made Freya panic.

She couldn't let this happen.

She bit her pale lip tightly, continuously crying out in pain, hoping Bryan would ignore Cecily and take her away quickly.

Bryan looked at Freya's bleeding wound, knowing that every second counted.

Freya's voice grew weaker, and finally, she rolled her eyes and fainted.

"Freya!" Bryan's brow furrowed deeply. Unable to think of anything else, he immediately picked up Freya and left quickly.

Darian didn't send anyone to stop them because as long as they were in Silver Frost Capital, they couldn't escape his grasp.

Cecily slowly lowered her eyes, chuckling lightly and shaking her head. The sky was misty, giving a suffocating feeling.

Darian knew Cecily must be feeling terrible at this moment. He approached her, squatted down, and looked at her lowered eyes.

Cecily had always acted indifferent about recognizing her biological father, as if she didn't care, but Darian knew that if she truly didn't care, nothing Bryan did would hurt her.

Perhaps she forced herself to come here today to see for herself how Bryan loved Freya and to completely lose hope.

She used indifference as a disguise, carefully hiding her emotions, never letting anyone see through her.

But actually, Darian had noticed, and so did Blaise. However, her biological parents had never noticed her pain.

Cecily couldn't help but tear up. She sniffed and lowered her head, not wanting others to see her vulnerability.

Darian silently raised his hand and put the hood on her. The large hood of the jacket covered her entire small face, hiding her vulnerability in the shadows.

"Let's go back." Darian gently said.

Cecily nodded, her voice slightly choked, "Okay."

She told herself, 'Cecily, it's okay. You should have given up a long time ago. You should have given up the moment you were used in an exchange.'

Don't be foolish anymore, don't have any expectations.

Such a father, even if he later found out she was his biological daughter, it wouldn't matter anymore.

Such a father, Cecily didn't want anymore.

Back at the hospital, Cecily suddenly received a call from the Bennett family in Detroit.

"What happened?"

"Ms. Bennett, Griffin and Rowan are missing!"

Cecily's face tightened. "Missing? How could they be missing?"

"We're not sure yet. Griffin and Rowan were playing in their room, and when the servants went in, they found them gone. No suspicious people were seen, and our people were at the door, but they didn't hear anything unusual. We checked the surveillance, and besides us, no one else was seen entering or leaving."

Listening to this, Cecily summarized that Griffin and Rowan had vanished into thin air!

"What happened?" Darian asked, seeing Cecily's serious expression.

"Rowan and Griffin are missing from the Bennett family!" Cecily's voice trembled.

Darian's brow furrowed deeply, but he quickly calmed down. As he pushed Cecily's wheelchair back to the ward, he took out his phone, ready to contact someone to search for them.

At that moment, he paused, looking at a message on his phone screen, his eyebrow slightly raised.

Cecily hung up the phone and was about to call Rowan and Griffin's smartwatch.

Darian leisurely pushed Cecily back to the ward, saying, "Don't worry. I'll take you back to the ward first."

"They're missing, how can I not worry?"

The ward door opened. Before Cecily could finish her sentence, she suddenly heard two familiar voices.

"Mommy!"

"Mommy!"

Cecily's hand froze as she was about to make a call, and she stared blankly at the scene before her.

Griffin and Rowan, whom she hadn't seen for days, ran towards her with open arms.

"Mommy, we missed you so much."

Cecily was enveloped in their embrace. She even doubted her eyes, softly murmuring in disbelief, "Rowan? Griffin?"

Griffin and Rowan hugged Cecily, tears streaming down their faces, especially Griffin, who was almost a little crying mess. "Mommy, are you injured? Does it still hurt?"

A layer of mist covered Cecily's eyes. The unexpected joy was overwhelming, making her heart race.

"Who brought you here?" Cecily blinked, looking at Griffin and Rowan.

"Uncle Blaise!" Rowan pointed to the person sitting on the single sofa, looking relaxed and indifferent.
