Chapter 649: Searching for Her Worldwide

Cecily gave a small, reluctant smile. She had no choice but to get up with him.

After ordering dinner to the room, Darian handed the food to Cecily.

Cecily wasn't sure if she was actually hungry. She stared at the food, grabbed a fork, and started shoveling it into her mouth without a care. She ate like she was venting, her cheeks puffing out, not giving a damn about her appearance since it was just Darian there.

The food was great, but she couldn't taste a thing. She just kept eating in big bites, like she was racing against time. She even choked and coughed, covering her mouth and almost throwing up.

Darian took a few bites, then put down his fork and sat quietly beside her, watching her eat.

Cecily was eating like a maniac, a side of her he had never seen before.

He had no clue what was making her feel so bottled up.

Cecily choked, and tears started streaming down her face. Darian stood up and patted her back, his brows furrowed and tense.

After gulping down some water, Cecily forced the food in her mouth down, wiped her cheeks, but the tears kept coming.

Seeing her roughly wiping her face, Darian grabbed her hand and held it in his palm. He squatted down and wiped her tears away, asking, "What's going on?"

Cecily kept her head down and didn't answer. She sniffled, holding back her tears, then looked up into Darian's worried eyes.

"Vivienne's missing again. I'm worried about her. They all keep it from me. I feel like an outsider to her. I don't get why she doesn't tell me anything. It was like this when I was a kid, and it's still like this now. I don't know what to do," Cecily replied.

Darian knew that whatever was upsetting Cecily so much had to do with Vivienne, if not Vivienne, then Bryan.

"Maybe she has her reasons." Darian gently wiped the tear stains from Cecily's face. He didn't know how long she had been crying, but her eyes were red, and her cheeks were red from her own wiping.

"What reason could be so important that she has to keep it from me?" Cecily couldn't understand this.

Darian comforted, "I'll help you find her. I'll send people all over the world to find her right now and bring you to see her, okay?"

Hearing Darian's gentle tone, Cecily felt the sadness welling up again. Finding Vivienne wouldn't change the fact that Vivienne was hiding things from her and was deliberately avoiding them.

Cecily was touched, asking softly, "Can you find her?"

"Trust me." Darian reached out and stroked Cecily's hair, comforting her. "When we find her, you can ask her yourself. We'll solve whatever it is together."

Darian's words comforted Cecily. She nodded. Sitting there being angry was useless. She might as well think about finding Vivienne with Darian. They would find her, and she would discover what Vivienne was hiding.

Seeing Cecily feeling a bit better, Darian coaxed her into eating some more. When she finished, he got up and went out to arrange for people to find Vivienne. After making all the arrangements, he was about to go back to Cecily when he saw Gary pacing outside Cecily's door. He hesitated for a moment and then walked away.

Darian narrowed his eyes and called out, "Gary."

Gary turned to look at Darian and walked over.

"Why are you pacing outside?" Darian asked.

Gary explained, "Desmond said Cecily wasn't eating and wouldn't come out of her room. I came to check on her. Seeing you here, I thought you would persuade her, so I decided to leave."

Darian listened to Gary's words but didn't quite believe it. It seemed like he had something to say to Cecily but was hesitating, so he paced outside the door, not going in.

"You have something to say to her, don't you?" Darian didn't let Gary leave.

Gary looked at Darian for a moment, then lowered his head, "I have other things to do."

Gary's answer was evasive, and his eyes were shifty. Darian was even more determined not to let him leave.

"What do you know about today's events?" Darian asked again.

"I don't know anything. I have to go." Gary turned to leave but was grabbed by Darian.

"You saw how upset she is. If you know something, just say it. Keeping it from her does no good." Darian's tone was serious as he looked at Gary.

Gary kept his head down, not daring to meet Darian's eyes.

On the day the villa caught fire at Silver Frost Capital, he had taken Vivienne back and seen her suffering from a stomach cancer attack. But he had promised Vivienne not to tell Cecily.

And since everyone was keeping it from Cecily, it meant that this was something Cecily probably couldn't handle.

The more hesitant Gary was, the more Darian felt something was wrong.

So Darian had an idea. He needed to figure out the whole situation before considering telling Cecily.
