Chapter 638 Do I Now Have the Qualification to Negotiate with You?
"No! Don't do it, Nathaniel!" Aurelie yelled from the other side. She knew he couldn't hear her, but she had to try.
Nathaniel's fists were so tight they creaked, and with every tick of the clock, his heart pounded faster.
Lillian stood next to Aurelie, arms crossed. Seeing Nathaniel hesitate, she smirked, "Aurelie, looks like you're not that important to him after all."
Aurelie struggled hard. She knew she couldn't break free from the guy holding her, but she wasn't about to just sit there and be a hostage.
Lillian glanced at Aurelie's nails. They were beautiful—slender, long, with neat little pink nails, like tiny works of art.
"Such pretty nails. It'd be a shame to rip them out." Lillian laughed, full of malice. "Scared?"
Of course, Aurelie was scared.
Ripping out nails? That had to hurt like hell.
Aurelie just glared at Lillian, not saying a word.
Lillian sneered and checked her watch, "Time's up." She couldn't wait to see Aurelie in pain, "Do it."
"I agree," Nathaniel said, staring at Stanley.
Lillian paused and squinted at Nathaniel.
Aurelie's eyes widened. Hearing Nathaniel, she shut her eyes tight.
Nathaniel shouldn't have agreed. Even if he did, they couldn't fight back. Agreeing now would just lead to more demands later.
Even if Nathaniel did everything they wanted, they still wouldn't let them go.
Aurelie bit her lip, her heart pounding.
Sure enough, Stanley laughed, "You're so straightforward. For Aurelie, would you agree to die if I asked?"
"If you think it can save Kensington Group, do whatever you want," Nathaniel said calmly.
Stanley's face twisted, "Even if I can't save Kensington Group, I won't let you off, Nathaniel. You ruined everything I had. I wish I could tear you apart."
Nathaniel retorted, "You came after me first. You can try to send me to prison, but I can't fight back?"
Stanley gritted his teeth, "You wanted what wasn't yours first."
Nathaniel sneered, "Believe it or not, I never wanted to compete with you."
"Stop lying. If you didn't want to compete, why is everything from Kensington Group in your hands now?" Stanley stood up and grabbed Nathaniel by the collar, "Compete with me, huh? I'll send you to hell."
Nathaniel turned his head slightly, eyes full of disdain.
A subordinate came over, "Stanley, the camera's ready."
Stanley glanced at the bodyguard, calmed down a bit, let go of Nathaniel's collar, and straightened it, "Let's begin."
A camera was pointed right at Nathaniel.
Aurelie was losing it in the next room, unable to calm down.
Lillian pursed her lips, annoyed. She walked up and pinched Aurelie's face, "Look, it's all because of you. If I were you, I'd just kill myself to stop dragging him down."
Lillian's eyes were full of resentment.
Nathaniel looked at the camera, not saying a word. As time passed, Stanley lost his patience, "If you don't speak, I'll send Aurelie to hell right now."
"Let her go first," Nathaniel said.
"Dream on."
Aurelie was Stanley's only leverage, so no way he'd let her go.
Nathaniel was like a desperate man. He didn't care about anything. He had this vibe of living if he could and dying if he couldn't.
But he cared about Aurelie, so Stanley would never let her go.
Nathaniel didn't speak again. Outside, Stanley's subordinate rushed in, "Stanley, something's wrong."
"What's wrong?" Stanley frowned. What could be worse than the company going bankrupt?
"Your wife and son have been captured. They're outside right now." the subordinate said.
Stanley's face changed, "What did you say? Say it again."
"They've been captured. They're tied up outside right now." The subordinate repeated, trembling.
"That's impossible!" Stanley shouted.
He had sent them abroad.
Stanley turned to look at Nathaniel, who was sitting there calmly.
Nathaniel raised an eyebrow, "Now do I have the right to negotiate with you?"
