Chapter 455 Sort Out Things
Josep couldn't go against Owen's orders, so he called Olivia and Aurelia.
After finishing their tasks, Olivia and Aurelia went shopping before heading back to Fitzgerald Manor.
When they walked into the living room and saw everyone gathered, they were a bit surprised.
Olivia looked around and stepped forward. "Dad, what's up? Why's it so busy? Darian, Cecily, what are you doing here?"
Cecily's face was cold. "A lot has happened lately, and some things need to be dealt with."
"What?" Olivia's expression changed. "What do you need from the Fitzgerald family?"
"We need to deal with you."
"Us?" Olivia glanced at Josep, confused. "Haven't all the recent issues been resolved? What else needs to be dealt with?"
"Exactly, Cecily, if you have issues with Freya, deal with her. Why are you here causing trouble?" Aurelia said irritably.
Darian's face turned icy, and his dark eyes swept over Aurelia.
The room went silent.
Aurelia shrank back behind Olivia, not daring to speak up again.
Josep spoke up. "Darian, what's going on? We're all family; we can talk this out."
Josep had a hunch Cecily and Darian were up to no good. They must have found something out, so he played the "family" card.
"Family? With you?" Darian's voice was cold, showing no respect for Josep.
Josep forced a smile. "We all have the Fitzgerald name, so we're family."
"Really? Do you really believe that?"
Josep felt stung and looked displeased. He turned to Owen. "Dad."
"Alright, enough. Cecily, if you have something to say, just say it."
Cecily nodded and looked directly at Olivia. "Aunt Olivia, I know there have been issues between me, Aurelia, and Victor, but did you have to frame me by killing someone?"
Olivia panicked, barely touching the sofa before springing up, pointing at Cecily. "Cecily, don't talk nonsense. When did I kill someone to frame you?"
"Didn't you kill Jennifer?"
As soon as Cecily said that, Josep's family became unsettled.
Olivia's voice rose. "When did I kill Jennifer? Cecily, are you crazy? What evidence do you have? Besides, I had no reason to kill Jennifer."
Olivia looked upset, but inside, she was panicking.
Josep's face turned serious. "Cecily, you better back up your claims. Either show us proof or apologize to my wife right now."
"Why are you rushing?" Darian's voice was menacing.
"I'd like to see what you have to say," Josep snapped, looking at Owen. "Dad, this is serious. If they can't prove anything and are just making baseless accusations, don't blame me for not being polite."
Owen stayed silent.
Josep felt confident because he had reviewed the video and surveillance footage multiple times, and Olivia hadn't slipped up.
He was sure Cecily and Darian had no evidence and were just bluffing. As long as they stayed calm, Cecily would have no way to proceed.
Josep glanced at Olivia, signaling her to stay calm.
Olivia looked calm on the outside, but inside, she was a mess.
Cecily stood up. "Of course there's evidence."
Owen, who had been silent, nodded. "Then show us."
"Yes, if you're accusing me of killing Jennifer, show us the evidence," Olivia said, trying to look innocent.
Cecily didn't say anything. She walked up to Olivia, grabbed her hand, and raised it. "The evidence is right here on your hand, Aunt Olivia. How do you explain this ring that matches the one in the video?"
Olivia's heart skipped a beat.
She remembered she hadn't worn any rings that day. Cecily must be bluffing.
Olivia relaxed and sneered, "Impossible. Dad, she's making stuff up. The person in the video didn't have a ring, so how could it match mine?"
Olivia knew she hadn't worn any jewelry to avoid being identified.
Owen's expression darkened.
Cecily smiled at Olivia's smug face. "The person in the video didn't have a ring? How do you know that?"
"I..." Olivia was speechless.
Cecily continued, "Someone pushed Jennifer down the building, and the person who pushed her accidentally showed their hand in the video. But that video is in Bryan's possession, and he only sent it to me. The video I released to the media last night was edited. So, I want to ask, where did you see the unedited video? How do you know that the person who pushed Jennifer didn't have a ring?"
"I..." Olivia stood frozen, feeling a chill down her spine.
