Chapter 641 If we're going to die, let's die together.

"I ain't going," Aurelie said, her voice shaky with anxiety. She didn't want to leave, but it wasn't her call. Nathaniel's guys grabbed her from both sides and started dragging her out.

Aurelie reached out, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get to Nathaniel.

"Get a car ready at the back door, now," Stanley barked at his men.

"What are you planning now?" Isadora grabbed Stanley's arm, still trying to talk sense into him. "Please, for our child's sake, let Nathaniel go. I swear he won't come after you."

Stanley sneered. Nathaniel let him go? Yeah, right.

He didn't buy it for a second. He'd done too much dirt, framed Nathaniel eleven years ago, and now this. Nathaniel probably wanted to rip him apart. No way he'd let him go.

"Stop dreaming. It's kill or be killed between us now. He's in my hands, and I'm not letting him go," Stanley said with a cold laugh.

Isadora looked at Stanley, utterly disappointed. "This is all your fault. Haven't you done enough evil over the years?"

"Shut up," Stanley snapped, flinging her hand away. "This isn't your business. You useless fool, even taking Marshall abroad, you still managed to get caught."

Stanley's eyes were sharp as he grabbed Nathaniel. "You like playing the hero? Fine, I'll give you that."

Nathaniel stayed calm. With Aurelie safe, he had no worries. No fear showed on his face.

"Stanley, the car's ready at the back door. We can go now," one of his men said.

"Tie him up," Stanley ordered, walking ahead.

"Stanley, what about this woman?" One of his guys glanced at Lillian, who was on the ground, clutching her shoulder and groaning in pain.

Stanley looked away indifferently. "Leave her to die here."

He was in a tight spot himself; no way he was dragging along an injured woman.

Lillian was stunned. Stanley was just gonna leave her?

"Stanley, you can't leave..." Before Lillian could get up and finish her sentence, Stanley and his men were already gone, almost making her faint from anger.

Stanley and his crew had just stepped out the back door when gunshots rang out. A few of his men dropped, clutching their legs.

Stanley's eyes widened as he quickly took cover. Nathaniel's men were closing in. He turned back and glared at Nathaniel, teeth gritted. "I knew your guys wouldn't just leave."

"Well, would I have a chance if I kept my word with you?" Nathaniel said.

As soon as Nathaniel finished speaking, Stanley furiously punched him in his shoulder wound. Nathaniel grunted, lowered his head, and when he looked up again, there was a faint, mocking smile on his lips, like he was laughing at Stanley's incompetence.

Stanley, enraged, yanked Nathaniel in front of him. "Try any more tricks, and I'll kill you right now."

Just then, a black car sped over and stopped right next to Stanley. He opened the door and, with another guy, dragged Nathaniel, threatening him to get in the car.

"Stanley, what about Isadora and Marshall?" one of his guys asked, clearly nervous.

Stanley glanced back at Isadora and Marshall, frowning. "You take them in the car behind and get out of here."

Nathaniel's men were hot on their heels, trying to rescue him. As long as Isadora and the kid were away from him, they'd be safe.

As soon as Stanley finished talking, the car sped off, the door barely closing in time.

Nathaniel's men immediately gave chase, sticking close to Stanley's car. Stanley cursed under his breath, "Drive faster, lose them."

"Why make such a mess out of a good life, Stanley? This is all trouble you've brought on yourself," Nathaniel said calmly, sitting between Stanley and his guy, looking straight at Stanley.

Stanley's face twisted in anger. "The thing I regret most is not being ruthless enough, not killing you in prison, giving you a chance to come out and oppose me. If I had killed you back then, none of this would be happening."

"Seems like you never regret your wrongdoings," Nathaniel said, his tone indifferent.

Stanley retorted, "What did I do wrong? Terry had a bunch of illegitimate kids to fight me for the family inheritance. I just wanted to keep what was mine."

Nathaniel leaned back, looking way too relaxed for someone who'd just been kidnapped. "That was wrong from the start. There's nothing more to say. Let's die together."

Stanley squinted, "What do you mean? The only one dying is you."

"Oh, I had someone plant a bomb in your car. It should be going off soon." Nathaniel's words made everyone in the car tense up. The car swerved, and the driver gripped the steering wheel with trembling hands.

Stanley was stunned for a moment, then realized it was probably a bluff. "Stop talking nonsense."

"Believe it or not, it's about to explode," Nathaniel said seriously, no hint of a joke.

Stanley looked around nervously, swallowing hard.

Nathaniel didn't seem to be lying, and Stanley didn't want to gamble his life on it.

The driver was clearly panicking too, and the car slowed down.

Seeing their distraction, Nathaniel quickly knocked the gun out of Stanley's hand. He then elbowed the guy on his right, grabbed the knife the guy pulled out, and swiftly cut the bindings on his hands.

Stanley realized he'd been tricked again and, in a fit of rage, reached for the fallen gun. But with his hands free, Nathaniel wasn't giving him the chance. He clenched his fist and punched Stanley hard in the face.

Seeing this, the guy on the right lunged at Nathaniel, and the person in the passenger seat turned around to help, causing chaos inside the car.

The car kept accelerating. It was a mountain road with few vehicles.

Several cars sped up in pursuit. Aurelie, sitting in the car behind, watched nervously as the car with Nathaniel in it drove dangerously.
