Chapter 673 Cecily is Drunk

Giselle furrowed her brows.

Cecily looked up at her, a hint of amusement in her eyes.

"Cecily, what's wrong?" Giselle asked.

Cecily pulled Giselle up, locked eyes with her for a few seconds, then, under everyone's astonished gaze, curled her lips into a smile and reached for the red wine.

Giselle's brow twitched violently. Watching the wine glass fill up, she had a bad feeling.

Everyone silently watched Cecily's actions. The red wine in the glass was almost overflowing, but Cecily didn't stop, filling it to the brim.

Someone silently opened their mouth but then closed it again.

Cecily pushed the wine glass in front of Giselle, sat down, propped her chin, and smiled gently. "Giselle, didn't you apologize on behalf of Hunter and Keaen this morning? Continue, see if my sincerity is enough. If not, I'll add more."

Giselle's expression stiffened. She looked at the full glass of red wine, then at Cecily, who was smiling leisurely, and sneered, "So you're still holding a grudge about this morning. I thought you had let it go."

Cecily smiled, "I'm a petty person. Who said I wouldn't hold a grudge?"

Cecily had originally planned to let the matter go and not bring it up again, but Giselle insisted on opposing her.

Having experienced many things, Cecily knew that in some matters, one couldn't be soft-hearted, or the other party would take advantage.

So, since Giselle wanted to make things difficult for her, she went along with it.

She had said it before, as long as they didn't mind making a fool of themselves, she didn't care.

Giselle stared at the full glass of red wine without moving.

Everyone was watching Giselle, including Cecily. "Why aren't you drinking? Do you think my sincerity isn't enough?"

Giselle bit her lip.

She could drink, but this full glass of red wine was clearly Cecily making things difficult for her.

Besides, drinking a whole glass in one go would look so embarrassing.

Giselle swallowed hard. "I don't want to drink today."

"Don't want to drink? Are you disrespecting me or thinking what happened this morning was right?" Cecily's voice was cold and aggressive.

Giselle clenched her fists, her gaze icy as she stared at Cecily. "You're being too difficult."

"Isn't this the sincerity you mentioned? This drink is a token of my sincerity. I drank it just now, so why can't you?" Cecily retorted leisurely.

Giselle still didn't move, and Cecily didn't get angry, just waited silently.

Giselle stood there, feeling awkward whether she sat or stood.

No one intervened. Cecily had already drunk, so why couldn't Giselle? Even those who wanted to help didn't dare.

After all, Giselle had started it by making things difficult for Cecily. Before Cecily drank, no one intervened, so now that it was Giselle's turn, they couldn't step in either.

Otherwise, they'd just be asking for trouble.

Cecily had no intention of letting Giselle off, eating her food calmly. If Giselle didn't drink, she could just stand there and endure the awkwardness.

After a few minutes, Giselle finally couldn't bear the pressure and picked up the glass of red wine.

The wine wobbled, spilling quite a bit.

Giselle's eyes reddened at some point. She glanced at the indifferent Cecily, then lifted the glass and drank it all in one go.

Cecily watched nonchalantly. Seeing Giselle struggle to drink, she didn't show any intention of stopping her, just watched her finish it.

Because the glass was too full, a lot spilled on her clothes, making her look quite disheveled.

After finishing, Giselle slammed the glass on the table, glaring at Cecily. "Are you satisfied now?"

"Would you keep drinking if I'm not satisfied?" Cecily retorted.

Giselle gripped the glass tightly, her chest heaving with anger, fearing Cecily would refill it any second.

Giselle snorted, "I thought of treating you like a sister, but I didn't expect you to be so petty."

Cecily smiled, "How am I petty? I generously filled your glass to show your sincerity, and you call me petty?"

Giselle was almost exploding with anger at Cecily's words.

Cecily smiled, took a sip of water. She had felt uncomfortable while drinking, but held it in. Overwhelmed by nausea, she forced herself to stand and said, "Excuse me, everyone, I need to use the restroom."

Cecily walked out, clutching her chest, quickly heading to the restroom. She vomited repeatedly, the nausea still hard to suppress. After a while, having almost emptied her stomach, she felt a bit better.

The nausea was strange. Cecily was about to diagnose herself when she heard Giselle's voice behind her. "Don't you think you went too far? We're family, letting outsiders see us make a fool of ourselves?"

Cecily grabbed some tissues, tidied herself, and turned to Giselle. "Weren't you the one who started it?"

Giselle gritted her teeth. "I wasn't as excessive as you."

Cecily responded coldly, "Sorry, but I'm the type to pay back double. I've told you, if you don't mind making a scene, I'm happy to oblige."

Giselle gritted her teeth, the two staring coldly at each other.

Cecily looked away first, threw the used tissues in the trash, and walked away.

Giselle stomped her foot angrily behind her.

Today, Cecily had made the three of them lose face. Giselle went to the sink, washing her hands forcefully, a fierce look in her eyes.

Cecily returned to the private room, having gotten some fresh air. Her head was a bit dizzy from the alcohol, but she held on until the dinner ended.

Darian had messaged her earlier. When Cecily didn't reply, he called.

"Hello, Darian." Cecily's voice was a bit muffled, sounding tipsy.

Darian frowned slightly. "Did you drink?"

"Yeah, just a little red wine, no big deal." Cecily propped her head with her hand, talking to Darian.

"Wait there; don't move. I'm almost there." Darian said, speeding up.

He had been reassured because of Cecily's status. As long as she didn't want to drink, no one would dare force her. But Cecily was clearly tipsy.

Darian felt guilty for not accompanying her.

Worried about Cecily getting into trouble while drunk, Darian hurried to the hotel.

Cecily responded softly and hung up.

Probably because she hadn't drunk in a long time, Cecily's tolerance was low. She hadn't expected half a glass of red wine to make her so dizzy.
