Chapter 115 Burning Bridges
Chloe's tears fell one by one into the sink.
Maya Hall was startled when she saw thatit and asked, "What's wrong, Ma’amrs.?"
"It's nothing. I'm feeling a little uncomfortable. It must be my period," Chloe said.
Leaving As Chloe left the kitchen and passeding through the living room, Chloe she said to Donovan, "You guys talk, I'm going upstairs to rest for a while."
A few days ago, Chloe had already felt some stomach pain and breast tenderness a few days ago. Sure enough, her period had arrived.
After changing her sanitary pad, Chloe sat on the bed, hugging her knees with her hands.
It was a while before Donovan went upstairs.

"What do you mean?" Chloe looked up and stared at him.

"That's not true." Chloe lowered her head and rested it on her knees.
"Do you mind being think you’re a replacementa substitute for me?" Donovan suddenly said.
Once again, Donovan hit the nail on the head, shocking Chloe.
She looked up, staring at Donovan in astonishment, and then lowered her head dejectedly.
"She's not a substitute for youYou’re not a replacement for her!" Donovan said. He had realized why Chloe was angry when he smelled the sandalwood soap on Paisley earlier. He had probably asked Paisley about the sandalwood soap that day, and so Paisley had intentionally used it today.
"Then who is a substitute for meWho am I a replacement for then?" Chloe's voice was already crying.
Even if sShe wasn't a substitute replacement for Paisley, but she was also still a replacementsubstitute.

EAnd every time she got her period, Donovan couldn't do that thing, so he would kiss Chloe, making her burn with desire and filled with unbearable heat, causing her to suffer.
This time, Chloe was angry with him this time, soand she didn't want to endure that suffering again.
"Did you talk to Sofia?" Donovan asked.
"Yes," Chloe replied.
"That's it then. Take everything with you," Donovan said. "And no spicy food allowed."
Chloe choked out a "Okay."
She actually hadn't talked to Sofia yet, but since Donovan had agreed, there was no need to mention it to Sofia.
From tonight until the next day at work, Chloe felt listless and didn't speak to Donovan from that night until the next day at work on the way.
She took aher change of clothes and wentwith her straight to the office.
Donovan was about to get on the elevator when he noticed Chloe's expressionless face. He brushed his hand against her chin and asked, "WDon't you miss me?"
Chloe turned her head. "No, I wdon't."
Donovan turned and left.
After entering the office, Chloe was surprised to find that Ellie was also working there.
Chloe knew that James had been hiring recently, but she didn't hadn't expected Ellie to be the one hired.
Ellie used to be a promising intern that everyone liked. After leaving New East and going to another company, she had failed the interview for the auditing department at New East Group. Now, she had managed to join the finance department at New East Group, earning a salary that was about half of what Chloe had made when she interned.
Chloe didn't know what Ellie's intentions were.
Ellie didn't even glance at Chloe and just kept working.
When James arrived, he said to Chloe, "Chloe, Ellie is a new hire. She didn't make it to the auditing department before, but she meets the requirements for our the finance department. Besides, she understands the business of our department, so I let her in."
Chloe finally realized that was it and nodded. '"I hope her brother won't come here too.'"
