Chapter 183 Totally Unworthy of the Smith Family

Paisley returned home in a huff.

Time and time again, Chloe and Donovan seemed to be getting along better.

While packing her things, she found that her assistant had forgotten to put the compact powder in her makeup bag.

Paisley angrily called her assistant and scolded her.

She even said, "You don't need to come to work tomorrow!"

Lori inquired about the situation, and Paisley replied irritably, "Don't mention it. It feels like their relationship is so solid that no one can break through."

"Then take another look and see if you can find any flaws in Chloe."

"I need to hire an assistant first. I have to go pick up a new play early tomorrow, but where can I find one?" Paisley's temper was consistently bad.

Just when Paisley was at a loss, she suddenly remembered that salesperson.

She was attentive and a fan of Paisley.

Paisley quickly found the salesperson's business card and made a call.

Barbara readily agreed and said she would come to Paisley's house soon.

"Over the past year, I have resigned from more than ten assistants, none of them satisfactory. For ten thousand dollars, you have a one-month trial period, including meals and accommodation. How about it?" Paisley crossed her arms and looked at Barbara.

"Sure." Barbara didn't expect her wish to come true so quickly, with a significant increase in salary and meals and accommodation included.

Most importantly, Paisley and Chloe were rivals. In the future, dealing with Chloe only required using Paisley's name; she didn't even need to take action herself.

Thinking of this, Barbara clenched her fists tightly.

She was about to turn the tables in Maple Valley.

"Oh, Ms. Torres, I have a cousin. We've never gotten along since we were kids. Last time I saw you two knew each other, could you not call me when there are occasions involving her?" Barbara looked as if she was being bullied beyond endurance.

Paisley furrowed her brows even tighter, "Your cousin? What's her name?"

"Chloe. Last time, she bought a belt from me. I really don't want to serve her." Barbara looked aggrieved, "Saying she's my cousin, in fact, doesn't count at all."

Paisley thought to herself, ‘How coincidental? She turned out to be Chloe's cousin?’

"What did you just say? Doesn't count, what doesn't count?" Paisley asked Barbara eagerly.

"In fact, Chloe is not really my cousin. My uncle brought her back from outside, like a child of the streets. My uncle brought the child back, saying it was born to my aunt, but we never saw my aunt pregnant. I overheard my parents talking about it. And, Ms. Torres, please don't tell anyone." Barbara said this, but in her mind, she thought that the information she knew wouldn't spread, and there was no way to deal with Chloe. If she revealed it to Paisley, it would be much easier for her to cause trouble.

Barbara could only spread this matter to the people at New East Group on the day she left her job.

The day Chloe was paying in the lobby, the front desk was discussing this.

Chloe thought the front desk was just talking about ordinary gossip.

"Are you serious?" Paisley's eyes lit up immediately.

"Yes, it's true. If you don't believe me, go ask my aunt."

With this leverage from Chloe, Paisley was ecstatic.

Chloe's father gave his corneas to Donovan, but now, Chloe's biological father didn't even know who he was. How could she pretend to be a benefactor in front of Donovan?

Regardless of whether Donovan knew about this now, Paisley wanted him to know that his wife's biological mother was just a woman of the streets, totally unworthy of the Smith family!
