Chloe looked down at the lesson plan, finding these words sounded so familiar.
She remembered a time when she had taken a class taught by Donovan, and everyone said the same things about her then.
She suddenly missed those times.
However, when she lifted her gaze, she saw Barbara sitting in the back row of the classroom.
It was Barbara and Pamela behind her who had cut off Chloe's contact with Francis.
They made her travel across the ocean for three years, and upon her return, she could only be Francis's "sister."
Chloe gritted her teeth tightly.
Jeffery looked at the pensive Chloe with a smug expression.
Barbara also looked at Jeffery from the back, thinking, 'Jeffery is really something. He excels both as a basketball player and in his academic pursuits. What girl wouldn't love him? And he's so handsome and charming.'
Barbara lay on the desk, staring at Jeffery with infatuated eyes.
She was now a somewhat famous artist, a bit more proud compared to before. She thought, 'If I didn't follow Pamela's plan, I just wanted to develop something with Jeffery. Why should all the good men be Chloe's?'
Moreover, Barbara wasn't young anymore. Back when she wasn't doing well, she didn't like any of the guys introduced to her by Betty's mother. Now that she had money, she liked even fewer of them.
To be honest, at her age, she was already at the stage of liking a man's body.
Jeffery's temperament and young, healthy body made Barbara want him very much.
In the afternoon, Chloe had a meeting at the Stellar Corp.
After lunch, she took a cab.
Jeffery stood at the school gate, awaiting the arrival of the bus. As an intern, this was his first time going to the Stellar Corp.
Barbara's car passed by.
"Jeffery?" Barbara rolled down the window and greeted Jeffery.
"Barbara."

Jeffery always thought Barbara was Chloe's cousin, so he was quite polite to her.

"Where are you going? I'll give you a ride," Barbara said. "I'm done with my scenes for today and have nothing to do, so I'm going shopping."
"Okay."
"Sit in the shotgun seat; my mom is in the back."
After getting in the car, Jeffery politely greeted Betty.
Betty said, "You and Chloe are a perfect match. By the way, where are you going?"
Betty always followed Pamela's orders to bring Jeffery and Chloe together, knowing that completing the task well would benefit Barbara.
"Oh, the Stellar Corp. You can use the GPS; it's easy to find," Jeffery said.
Barbara's car stopped by the roadside, and she entered "the Stellar Corp" into the GPS. The navigation showed it would only take about twenty minutes to get there.
Barbara thought, 'Why can't the time be longer? Two hours would be perfect.'
Jeffery was also replying on WhatsApp.
Earlier, his roommate Patrick had sent him a message: [Jeffery, I saw you got into Barbara's car. Since you're so close to her, can you get me an autograph? I want to have a celebrity's autograph too.]
[Sure.]
"Barbara, can you do me a favor? My roommate wants your autograph. Can you sign one for him?"
"Of course." Barbara was obviously overjoyed.
Due to her looks and the type of character roles she portrayed, Barbara had a smaller fan base in comparison to other artists. Usually, when she walked on the street, few people asked for her autograph.
Since Jeffery had a request, she was more than willing to oblige.
Before the car started moving, she took a photo from the car and signed it for Jeffery.
"Do you want one?" Barbara asked Jeffery.
Jeffery thought, 'If I say I don't want one, it would be too embarrassing for Barbara.'
So he said, "If it's convenient for you, Barbara, I'd like one too."
"Sure." Barbara took another photo from the front of the car.
This photo was somewhat revealing; she was wearing a spaghetti strap dress, quite sexy.
"Oh, it's fine," Jeffery said, easygoing.
Barbara signed it and gave the somewhat revealing photo to Jeffery.
Jeffery casually put it in his backpack.
"Thank you, Barbara."
