Chapter 369 She Panicked
Donovan noticed the similarities and sneered, thinking to himself, 'Where did she learn that attitude from?'
"Donovan, are you going to let Francis recognize me as his uncle or not?" Jacob started raising his voice.
"What if I don't?" Donovan said indifferently, clearly not wanting to engage with Jacob.
"Fine. If you don't, just wait and see." With that, Jacob turned and left.
Janet followed Jacob closely.
At the door, she glanced back at Donovan.
Just then, Donovan raised an eyebrow and locked eyes with her.
The next day, when Donovan was leaving work, he ran into Janet again at the company lobby entrance.
Donovan frowned slightly.
"What?" he asked Janet.
"Oh, Mr. Blake," Janet said, wringing her hands nervously in front of her. "Actually, Jacob was lying yesterday. I'm not his girlfriend, and I wasn't trying to confirm that he's Francis's uncle. I was just there to pick up my car because it broke down on the road that day. I saw him watching a video by the car dealership, and when I went over to take a look, he said Francis was his nephew and wanted to prove it to me. Mr. Blake, please don't misunderstand."
He said, "There's no need to explain to me." With that, he walked away.
Janet stood there, watching Donovan's figure recede into the distance.
Just then, Barbara passed by.
She had just received an interview notification from a famous production team for "The First Hotel," inviting her to audition for a role. Due to the tight schedule, they sent a car to pick her up.
This was the first time Barbara had received such treatment since becoming an actress.
As she passed by New East Group, the timing was just right to catch Donovan and Janet meeting.
Barbara smugly took a photo and sent it to Chloe, adding a caption: [Looks like Mr. Blake has a type: a bit naive, a bit willful, and, of course, young and beautiful.]
When Chloe woke up at seven and saw the WhatsApp message, she was skeptical. After all, it was just Donovan talking to a young girl. He wouldn't do it right after Francis's party, even if Donovan were in a hurry to date another woman.
Moreover, this photo was taken at the company entrance. If Donovan wanted to date a woman, why choose here?
However, Chloe had been abroad for so long. She was always cautious, and the men in black suits hadn't made any moves. She even doubted if they were still around.
To uncover the truth, Francis had to make a move. If he didn't, how could she investigate?

It was natural for Donovan to be fickle, but she wanted to warn him.
What she hated was how quickly Donovan moved on!
She sent Donovan a WhatsApp message: [Donovan, if you want to get married to someone else, that's your business. But if you let Francis suffer, I'll fight you to the end!]
Donovan received the WhatsApp message on his way to work in the morning.
After reading it, he put his phone down in the car. The whole message conveyed just one thing: she was panicked!
But there was one thing Donovan didn't understand. He had only interacted with Janet three times, and he didn't even get out of the car the first time they met.
'How did Chloe know? Did Maya tell her?' he wondered.
He'd have to ask Maya about it tonight.
