Chapter 627 Whose Mistress?
Chloe suddenly realized her rudeness and said, "He's still a virgin, how could you do that to him?"
Jane laughed while eating, "He seemed pretty strong in bed, didn't look like it was his first time."
"Maybe he practiced on that officer's daughter," Chloe teased.
"Don't talk nonsense!" Jane said, "I gave him a strict order. If he dares to have anything to do with the officer's daughter, he'd better watch out."
Chloe couldn't understand it. Just yesterday, they were strangers. Did sleeping together make Jeffery start listening to her?
"Also, I called you out to tell you, don't tell Maya about this. I don't want to ruin my dignified image in her eyes," Jane added.
"Alright, got it," Chloe replied. "What's your next move?"
"I haven't thought that far yet. Anyway, I can't just sit around for the next two years," Jane said.
When Chloe got home and was about to sleep, she told Donovan about it.
Donovan's reaction was quite calm; he just responded with a couple of sounds.
"Why are you so uninterested? Say something," Chloe was displeased.
"It's fine. You both like to take people down first. Some do it swiftly, some are more dramatic," Donovan said, hinting at something.
Chloe was not happy hearing that, "Who are you talking about? But seriously, Maya said Jeffery has another pursuer, the officer's daughter."
"Officer?" Donovan asked specifically, "What's her name?"
"Are you interested in her too?" Chloe said jealously.
"I'm more interested in her dad," Donovan replied.
"I didn't realize you swung that way!" Chloe said.
"That way? Sounds like you want me to prove something?" Donovan pressed Chloe down.
Compared to Donovan, Chloe was petite and delicate, making it easy for him to toy with her.
Afterwards, thoroughly exhausted, Chloe picked up a pillow and threw it at him.
As expected, Donovan dodged it, and Chloe missed.
"Ask Jane what her rival's name is," Donovan asked again.
"I'll ask."
Chloe's fingers quickly tapped on the keyboard, but Jane didn't know either. Jane even said, "Why should I know her name? Does it look like I care about her?"

After saying that, Chloe put down her phone and waited for Jane's reply.
Jane thought it was a good excuse.
So, she texted Jeffery: [What's that mistress's name?]
After sending it, Jane realized she had used the wrong word for "mistress."
But then, she thought, Wasn't that woman a mistress?
Jane had her eyes on Jeffery for a long time, and that woman hadn't succeeded yet. If she did, she would be the mistress. Besides, Jane had already expressed her disdain for that woman to Jeffery before.
Sure enough, moments later, Jeffery replied: [Whose mistress?]
