Chapter 128 Is There Anything Uglier Than Going Pantsless?
Chloe turned around, wiping her tears with the back of her hand. Maybe it was the anesthesia wearing off, but she felt a sudden warmth between her legs.
Donovan lowered his head and saw it. "Stubborn!" Donovan seemed to have no choice but to accept Chloe's personality, muttering the word. He squatted down, took off Chloe's pants, and used the shower to clean her up.
Chloe's sense of dignity was shattered. She wanted to maintain the last bit of dignity in front of Donovan, but it was all gone. Chloe held the medicine, and Donovan carried her to the bed, covering her with a blanket. "Sleep," he said to Chloe. Chloe turned away, ignoring him. Donovan stayed until Chloe's treatment was over.
Chloe didn't know when she fell asleep, tears still on her face. The next day, Chloe woke up to Donovan on the phone, "Bring Chloe some clean clothes and underwear." Chloe pretended not to hear anything and went back to sleep.
Donovan didn't go to work all morning. Chloe couldn't pretend to sleep anymore, so she opened her eyes and spoke to Donovan. "Aren't you going to work?" she asked.
"It doesn't matter if I go to work or not," he said.
A nurse came in to take Chloe's temperature and change her bandages. There was an electric shaver in the tray. "What's this?" Chloe asked.
"A shaver," the nurse replied.
"Is it for me?"
"Yes, to shave your head for the stitches," the nurse said as she removed Chloe's bandages, changed her dressings, and shaved her head.
"You shaved my head?" Chloe's face went pale. Which girl would want her hair shaved off?
She instinctively wanted to touch it, but the nurse said, "Don't touch it. Avoid infection."
"You're not allowed to touch it!" Donovan commanded Chloe.
This made Chloe even more uneasy. Did Donovan see her bald? She had no idea what she looked like, with hair on one side and none on the other. She felt depressed and was close to tears.
After the nurse left, she quickly turned to Donovan and asked, "Did she shave all the hair on the back of my head? Am I ugly?"
"Are you willing to talk to me now?" Donovan asked her.
Chloe was speechless and lowered her head, blaming herself for being weak. "Am I ugly or not?"
"Is there anything uglier than not wearing pants?" Donovan retorted.
Chloe was speechless. She bit her lip tightly. He always touched the most sensitive spot, making people feel embarrassed or uncomfortable!
Just as Chloe was feeling embarrassed, Sofia arrived. Sofia asked Chloe how she was doing. Chloe said she was fine, and asked Sofia to visit her mother on Saturday. Sofia agreed.
Chloe didn't see Donovan's slight frown. Chloe was supposed to be observed in the hospital for a week, and Donovan had been with her day and night. On Sunday, Maya Hall came to take over Donovan's shift.
As Donovan passed by Maple Valley First People's Hospital, he suddenly stopped his car. Chloe would rather ask her good friend to see her mother instead of asking him. It was probably because she felt that he had no obligation to come and see Chloe's mother, and he had never come to see her.
Donovan suddenly wanted to see his current mother-in-law. He called the hospital director to inquire about Amelia Morgan's ward. He knew that Chloe's mother was named Amelia Morgan and had previously helped her find a caregiver.

Donovan said that he was a friend of Amelia's and came to see her. Riley went to the bathroom to get hot water to wipe Amelia's body, and the sound of water was loud.
