Chapter 284 He Was an Old Hand in Love
Chloe wasn't sure if they had kissed before; maybe it was because of their banter, or... Chloe couldn't understand why.
But if Sofia were to discover later that Logan's kiss was actually provoked by Chloe, Sofia would be really surprised.
If it wasn't their first kiss, that would be okay, but if it was, Chloe and Sofia's friendship would be at risk.
Chloe prayed that such a day would never come.
When Logan and Sofia returned to the picnic cloth, Logan seemed a bit guilty, while Sofia's eyes were filled with joy.
At two in the afternoon, the picnic ended, and they each went home.
On the way, Chloe sent Sofia a WhatsApp message: [Logan kissed you very skillfully.]
Sofia replied to Chloe with several pink bubble stars: [Come on, it was the first time.]
Chloe leaned her head back against the car seat and thought, 'It's over!'

These days, Donovan sometimes slept in his bedroom next door, and sometimes in Chloe's bed.
But he did not sleep with Chloe.
Tonight, Chloe hardly ever left the door open. When Donovan climbed into bed, Chloe was there too, reading a book, although her thoughts were elsewhere. Noticing Donovan's lack of action, she softly asked, "Do you want it?”
"Want what?" he turned to face Chloe.
"Me!" Chloe said.
Donovan glanced at Chloe's flushed face from the side. He understood that Chloe was showing her appreciation because he hadn't caused any embarrassment, had given Logan a nice gift, and had played along with Chloe in displaying their affection towards Logan all day.
So, she was rewarding him. She even allowed him to share a bed with her because their act that day was very convincing.
Sleeping with her was Chloe's way of rewarding Donovan.
Donovan was displeased.
He was as upset as he was when Chloe took money from Donovan.
There had been a lot of troubling things lately, but the realization that the child was his own was enough to push aside all the unhappiness.
So, even though he was displeased, he didn't argue with Chloe. Donovan's hand gently touched Chloe's body, but he wasn't rushing.
He gazed into Chloe's eyes.
"Still can't handle teasing," he whispered in Chloe's ear, making her ear itch.
Under his gaze, Chloe's face and body felt like they were on fire, and her breathing became heavier.
His teasing always had this effect on her. But he didn't rush to take things further, leaving Chloe feeling empty and disappointed.
Suddenly, Donovan's hand withdrew from Chloe's body, leaving her feeling a sudden emptiness.
Just when she needed him the most, he pulled back. He was experienced in matters of love.
Chloe felt like she was about to sell herself, only for the buyer to back out at the last minute, leaving her feeling disappointed.
She wondered if he was afraid of disturbing the baby in her belly.
The reward she wanted to give hadn't been received, which left Chloe feeling a bit annoyed.
Her mind wandered for a moment before she eventually fell asleep.
