Chapter 266 What Are You Explaining?
Chloe felt that she absolutely couldn't let him know about the fact that she discovered him deleting her email.
If he found out, he might continue to delete them.
Chloe should play dumb, pretend she didn't receive the offer, and when the time comes, she'll make a quick getaway.
"Stomach ache?" Donovan came over and asked Chloe.
Chloe's originally resentful eyes suddenly softened. "Maybe I'm not feeling well today. Can you take me to Jane's Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital?"
Donovan saw her pale face, constantly holding her stomach. He helped her up and put her in the car, heading straight to Jane's Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital.
On the way, Chloe also chatted with Jane on the phone, asking if she was at the hospital today and mentioning her stomach ache.
Jane asked, "I happen to be on duty today. Any bleeding?" "Not yet, just a stomach ache," Chloe said, sweating from the pain.
She wanted to lie down but couldn't find a comfortable position in the car.
"Endure a bit," Donovan saw Chloe's painful expression in the rearview mirror.
About twenty minutes later, they arrived at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital.
After the examination, Jane called Donovan into the office as well, saying that Chloe had disturbed the fetus.
"Have you been in a bad mood recently?" Jane asked Chloe. "Emotional stress can disturb the fetus. Fortunately, there's no bleeding, so it's not severe. You're at this stage, so be extra careful."
Donovan stood by Chloe's side.
"I want things to be good, too," Chloe said.
Her words carried a hint of sadness. She wanted things to be good, but Donovan wouldn't let her have peace.
They had argued and made up in these past few days, so she couldn't be okay. And she just found out that Donovan had deleted her offer, trying to block her path to education.
"Also, is it not allowed to have sex during pregnancy?" Chloe added, glancing at Donovan with the corner of her eye.
She wanted Donovan to know how much he had hurt her.
"Ordinary pregnant women shouldn't in the first and last three months. The first three months are unstable for the fetus, and in the last three months, the pressure on the uterus is high. But Chloe, you're carrying twins, so the pressure is already high." Jane seemed a bit angry, and then she seemed to lose her composure, looking up at Donovan and saying, "Mr. Blake, please control yourself! These are your babies, too."
Chloe clenched her clothes tightly.

"Mr. Blake, you shouldn't be like this. Chloe is pregnant; you should make her feel good, not angry. And Chloe, that yoga Sofia mentioned last time, you should take it seriously. It's so convenient for you. Isn't it, Mr. Blake?" Jane raised her head and asked Donovan.

Jane prescribed some medicine for Chloe and let her go home.
On the way back, Donovan remained silent.
"Nobody knows whose child it is except for me. I haven't told Jane and Sofia. They guessed it," Chloe said.
"It's something we both understand, and you don't need to explain so much," Donovan said, looking at Chloe in the rearview mirror.
"I'm afraid you'll think too much," Chloe played with her fingers, looking down.
He said, "I'm not thinking too much."
As they neared home, Donovan said, "I'm going back to Hillside Villa to stay. Let Rebecca come and teach you yoga."
"Thank you, Mr. Blake," Chloe said, looking out the window. Her words sounded particularly distant.
Chloe was afraid Donovan would sense her relieved mood, a breath of relaxation she slowly let out.
However, Donovan still noticed.
"You don't like me that much?" he asked.
She answered, "No, it's just..."
"Don't say anymore," Donovan finally held back his anger.
He knew Chloe had startled the fetus this time, which was directly related to him. Therefore, he decided to move back to Hillside Villa.
