Chapter 621 Tonight, I'll Beat Him Up

The next day, Chloe went to a meeting at New East Group. This meeting was held in the advertising department because it involved advertising creativity, advertising planning, and a one-liner slogan.

Chloe took the elevator from the first floor.

Two young women, probably interns around Chloe's age back in the day, were in the elevator with her. Chloe moved to the back corner.

"Mr. Blake is so handsome. Just for him, I would stay at this company," one of the girls said to the other with girlish fantasies. "Is he married?"

"I heard he has a son, seems like he's divorced and hasn't found anyone new."

"There's hope then," the other one said.

Chloe couldn't help but smile. She didn't have such girlish fantasies about him back in the day.

Unexpectedly, Donovan got on the elevator on the tenth floor.

He saw Chloe and asked her, "Why didn't you come with me this morning?"

"Who can get up after sleeping with you?" Chloe seemed to mutter.

Donovan immediately understood what Chloe meant and just glanced at the two girls.

On the eleventh floor, the two girls awkwardly got off, saying, "Who was that woman just now? She slept with Mr. Blake?"

"No idea, but I guess Mr. Blake's bed isn't lacking women."

"I didn't realize it before, but you're getting better at scolding me," Donovan teased Chloe as they got off the elevator.

"With a handsome guy like you that everyone likes, my skills naturally improve," Chloe said.

Chloe and Donovan went to the meeting room together.

Because of Angela, there were changes in the Rebecca Residential Community project, so they moved the pre-sale date up by a month. Now, they were discussing advertising creativity with the advertising department.

Although Charles was the finance director, he was fully involved in the Rebecca Residential Community project, so he was there too. Advertising was a collective effort.

The advertising department had already come up with basic ideas, and now they needed a great slogan.

Everyone was racking their brains, discussing fervently.

"Don't look at me, I'm just a finance person. I need tangible things to work with. Don't ask me to come up with something out of thin air," Victoria said, waving her hand.

Chloe had a slogan in mind ever since the moment she lost her child:

"A lifetime of love, just waiting for you!"

She had waited for Rebecca for so long, but unfortunately, Rebecca still passed away.

She couldn't mention this; it would make her want to cry. Besides, this was just her personal feeling. Others wouldn't have the same emotional connection and wouldn't think the slogan was good.

Now, even though Donovan built the Rebecca Residential Community for Rebecca, Chloe still felt heartache during meetings.

Charles finally said, "This place is a sanctuary in the heart of the city."

Donovan also thought this was good, so Charles won.

"I won, shouldn't I get some kind of material reward? If you were to crowdsource a slogan, it would cost tens of thousands of dollars. Pay up," Charles said, extending his hand to Donovan.

Donovan pretended not to see him and continued packing up.

"Chloe, look at Donovan, he's so stingy," Charles complained to Chloe.

"I'll beat him up tonight," Chloe said.

"Why wait until tonight? Why not do it now? Are you planning a showdown tonight?" Charles persisted.

"Yeah, to have a second child. Got a problem with that?" Donovan retorted.

Chloe's original intention was: we have to work during the day, so of course, it has to wait until the evening. Who knew these men would take it this way?

"I have to get to work now," Chloe said, glancing at her watch.

"Don't forget tonight," Donovan reminded her.
