Chapter 629 Shopping for Clothes Together
Although Charlotte came from a good background, she wasn't spoiled or arrogant. She was calm and composed, except for being a bit of a flirt; otherwise, she wouldn't have been attracted to the handsome Jeffery.
On Saturday, she drove to the New East Mall because she wanted to buy Jeffery some underwear.
Only by buying the most intimate clothing could she become the closest person to him.
Charlotte was lively and outgoing. She believed Jeffery was the best match for her. Despite his young age, Jeffery was very steady and had a strong presence, making him look very promising.
New East Mall was the most upscale mall in Maple Valley. Since it was her first time buying something for someone she liked, she naturally had to come to a place like this.
Charlotte was strolling around the mall.
Coincidentally, Jane had also arranged to meet Chloe today.
Jane had the day off and specifically asked Chloe to go shopping with her.
She wanted to buy something for Jeffery. She didn't mind spending money on him; after all, she had been working for many years and had money.
When Jane asked Chloe over the phone which mall to go to, Chloe said, "Of course, New East Mall. We should spend money at our mall."
"Alright, now you're starting to earn my money. Aren't you going to give me a discount?" Jane asked Chloe. "You're the boss lady inspecting your store and tricking me out of my money. Chloe, don't you feel bad?"
"Not at all. Let's go," Chloe said.
The two of them chatted while shopping at New East Group.
Jane wanted to solidify her relationship with Jeffery, fearing that Charlotte might get ahead. Besides, Jeffery was currently very angry with Jane, so she needed to take some measures to win him over.
The idea of buying underwear was Jane's. She wanted to get straight to the point. After all, they had already slept together, so she needed to know Jeffery's underwear size.
The two of them entered a high-end underwear store called D.K. and started picking out items while chatting. "Aren't you going to buy a few pairs for Donovan, too?"
Chloe was looking down. "Yeah, I need to. Giving underwear is both passionate and sexy; men love it." Chloe tilted her head, thinking.
"Be careful, he might hit you!" Jane said.
"He wouldn't dare," Chloe said, squinting her eyes and smiling at Jane.
"Do you think this striped one would suit him?" Jane asked Chloe.
"Hmm? Which one? It should look good. Is it suitable for young people?" Chloe turned the underwear over in her hand. "Donovan definitely wouldn't wear this; he likes solid colors."
"I wonder how much money we could make by selling this information to the media?" Jane said with a smile.
"Are you kidding me?" Chloe said in a serious tone.
They both laughed and continued to pick out items seriously.
Just as Jane was about to grab the striped underwear, someone else also reached for it.
She wanted to take a look too.
Jane was a bit annoyed and looked up at the woman. She had a delicate face, soft and innocent eyes like two twinkling stars in the sky, and a cute little nose that resembled a kitten's—both willful and adorable. In short, she was a very pretty girl, so much so that even Jane, as a woman, found her attractive.
Jane couldn't help but let go of the underwear.
The underwear was just a sample. Jane asked the sales associate to get her a few new ones in different colors.
"Are you picking these for your boyfriend?" Jane couldn't help but ask the girl.
"Yes," the girl smiled and then took three pairs of underwear and left.
It wasn't until Chloe spoke to Jane that Jane snapped out of it.
