"No. Donovan, you're always thinking of me. Why would I be unhappy?" Charles retorted.
"But you're right, if Charlotte wins the bid, it will show how much you value her. She'll stick even closer to you," Donovan said.
Charles's hand suddenly clenched his knee. He just didn't want it to be like this.
