Chapter 705 Biological Mother

"This is the key to an apartment. I'll send you the exact address to your phone later. Move in." With that, Matthew left.

The key lay coldly on the coffee table.

Barbara didn't even look at it. She deeply regretted asking Matthew for money; that action directly led to today.

Barbara went to the bathroom and soaked in the bathtub, but no matter how much she washed, she couldn't cleanse the filth from her body. She missed Jeffery, but she also knew that getting involved with Matthew meant she was drifting further away from Jeffery.

Her body belonged to Jeffery, not that bastard Matthew. She could be wild in front of Jeffery, but she had never given Matthew any illusions.

Barbara was born in a small town. Although she had a bad character, she was still very traditional.

Barbara cried, cried painfully. She hated Chloe and Matthew.

After her bath, she got dressed and went home. She didn't take the key Matthew gave her; she planned to go home and get a check to return to Matthew.

On the way, Barbara received a message from Matthew with the location of the apartment.

She didn't look at it either.

But as soon as she got home, she saw a big pile of stuff in her living room, and Betty was sitting on the couch.

"What's this?" Barbara asked in surprise.

"Aren't you moving out? I packed everything for you," Betty said. "What kind of place did Matthew give you? Is it big? A house or an apartment?"

Barbara was stunned. Seeing Betty's smug face, she felt like she was being sold off by a madam in a brothel.

Barbara felt like Betty had sold her out.

"I didn't take the key. I don't know where the apartment is!" With that, Barbara went to her room and lay down on her bed.

Fortunately, Betty hadn't packed her bedding yet.

Betty kicked the door open. "Barbara, why? One path leads to a good life, the other to a poor one. Have you lost your mind?"

Barbara pulled the blanket over her ears.

Betty was already rummaging through her bag. There really was no key.

"You really didn't take the key?" Betty was anxious. "Idiot!"

With that, she closed Barbara's door and walked out.

Barbara heard her making a call to Matthew.

"Mr. Parker, our Barbara is stubborn. She didn't take your key. Maybe it's still in the hotel room. Don't lose it. I'll try to persuade her," Betty said.

Barbara gritted her teeth. It seemed Betty knew she had slept with Matthew. Maybe she and Matthew had conspired together. Betty was her own mother.

Her own mother treated her like this!

Barbara suddenly got up from the bed and started throwing things around her room, smashing everything.

"Eat my food, live in my house, use my things, and still want to throw me into the arms of a bad man. Bastard."

Barbara went crazy, hysterically smashing everything in her room.

Then, she collapsed on the floor of her bedroom, crying.

"What are you crying for? Mr. Parker gave you five million dollars!" Betty stood at Barbara's door. "You're an actress. Isn't this the kind of ending you should expect? What more do you want?"

"Get out!" Barbara shouted, then cried even louder.
