Chapter 273 He Gave Her a Chance
"What's the matter?" Donovan pushed the door open and came in.
"My calf is cramping," Chloe said, the pain nearly bringing tears to her eyes.
Donovan sat beside her and placed her legs on his lap.
But now, the cramping sensation had already passed.
Chloe wondered if it had been her imagination.
"It doesn't hurt anymore," she said hurriedly, pulling her legs back from his lap.
"Have you been taking your medication on time these days?" he asked Chloe.

" You’re lucky you haven’t had morning sickness during your pregnancy," Donovan suddenly remarked.

"I did throw up a few times in the early stages of my pregnancy, but then it stopped," Chloe said.

With that, Donovan got into bed and started reading a book.
"Are you sleeping here tonight?" Chloe glanced at him.
"Of course."
"Then, can you take Jane's words to heart?" Chloe said.
"What do you take me for?"
Chloe didn't answer, but in her heart, she thought, 'You’re like a beast.'
That night, things were relatively peaceful between Donovan and Chloe. Chloe soon fell asleep.
Around eleven o'clock, Donovan turned off the light and went to sleep.

Thus, Donovan believed Chloe wasn’t pregnant at that time. If she were, she would have bought a test instead of picking one from the trash. Therefore, her pregnancy must have occurred after that night. Of course, it didn’t rule out the possibility she had slept with Brayden later and got pregnant.
Thinking of this, Donovan felt a pang of jealousy. But now, he was 55% sure the twins were his, compared to previously being 100% convinced they were Brayden’s. His increased confidence came from Chloe’s lie. If the babies weren’t his, Chloe wouldn’t have lied about being pregnant with Brayden’s children. At that time, she wasn’t pregnant..
