Chapter 157 Don't Get Angry and Go Home
The next day, Chloe put on light makeup and dressed in very professional clothes.
At one o'clock in the afternoon, the group meeting officially began.
Donovan gave a speech.
Chloe sat in the hall that could accommodate ten thousand people without attracting attention.
While Donovan was on the stage, he was the center of attention.

Finally, the award reached Chloe.
Donovan stared into Chloe's eyes and received the trophy from the hostess.
"You didn't even fix your collar?" Donovan softly reprimanded Chloe.
Then, he adjusted Chloe's shirt collar for her.
Chloe lifted her head and met Donovan's eyes.
His voice, long unheard.
Seeing her looking at him, Donovan couldn't help but feel displeased.
"If you're not angry, go home!" Donovan dropped these words and stepped down from the stage.
Charles sat beside Donovan.
After Donovan stepped down, Charles leaned in and whispered to Donovan, "I can tell, she's indeed different from the others."
Donovan didn't say anything, his gaze fixed on Chloe who was walking off the stage.
Below, Barbara watched in astonishment.
She had been working in the New East sales department for over a week. No one had shared any gossip with her, and salespeople often had to travel to work, so she wasn't in the office much. It wasn't until today that she saw that Chloe was actually in the New East Group's audit department.

After the group activity ended, Barbara went to the top floor, which was eerily quiet.
She found Chloe.
"Chloe?"
Chloe was tidying up her work badge, preparing to go home after work. She felt uneasy when she saw Barbara.

"Chloe, so you really are in the audit department?" Barbara said, "You told me before that you were in a small company."
Chloe awkwardly smiled.
"Let's leave together," Barbara said. "Where are you heading?"
"I'm going to my mom's. By the way, Barbara, where do you live?"
"I rented a house."
Jacob wouldn't let Barbara to say that he helped her find the job. Barbara lived in Jacob's house, something Chloe didn't know.
"How much is the rent?"
"It's five hundred a month, shared with someone else. Let's take the bus together. I don't have your WhatsApp yet. I'll add you, so we can contact each other easily in the future."
After speaking, Barbara opened her WhatsApp QR code for Chloe to scan.
Chloe couldn't refuse and scanned it.
The two of them got on the elevator.
It was past ten o'clock, and there was no one else there.
