Chapter 541 You Are My Ray of Light
After arriving at school, Chloe told Donovan and Francis to go eat.
"You should come back early. Don't do anything unnecessary." Donovan said coldly to Chloe.
"I know." Chloe now realized that Cynthia was really cunning. It was possible that Cynthia had spread the love letters herself, just to let the whole school know about the rumors between Cynthia and Donovan, linking the two of them together. This way, everyone would treat Chloe with prejudice. Even though Donovan met Chloe later, people might still say that Chloe stole Donovan from Cynthia. "Donovan returned all these letters to me. Besides, I later fell in love with my husband. These things have passed. Jake dug them out today." Cynthia added.
Chloe didn't say anything. Although she didn't know Donovan back then, the thought of another woman telling Donovan he was a ray of light made Chloe extremely uncomfortable.
"Have you eaten?" Chloe asked Cynthia. "Let me make you something to eat."
With that, Chloe went to the kitchen.
As the water in the pot went from calm to boiling, Chloe didn't feel like she had pulled Cynthia back from the brink of death. Instead, Chloe felt like she had been trapped, feeling deeply uneasy.
Chloe's phone buzzed as she was watching Cynthia finish her noodles. It was Brayden.

"Alright." Cynthia said, then continued eating, as if the topic was over. But in reality, Cynthia thought, ' Brayden Perez? Also a Perez? What's his relationship with Dylan?'
