Chapter 352 Good at Getting Jealous
"What's up?" Donovan asked Chloe.
Chloe pointed at the display window.
The name "Cynthia Young" caught Donovan's eye.
"She's teaching at Pearl Peak City University?" Donovan muttered to himself.
'She was his old flame,' Chloe thought.
Feeling a pang of jealousy, she grabbed Donovan's hand. "Let's go. We're never coming back here."
Back at the hotel, Donovan teased Chloe on the bed, but she kept a stern face, refusing to smile.
"You sure know how to get jealous, but not how to say nice things," Donovan joked.
"I'm just bad at saying nice things and good at getting jealous," Chloe shot back.
Donovan's hand went behind her head, pulling her closer. "Show me how you get jealous."
"Get lost!" Chloe knew what he meant, and before she could say more, she was at a loss for words.
The next day, they didn't check out until eleven, and Chloe kept a stern face the whole way.
But there was a difference between her playful, stern face and a genuinely angry one.
Her head was slightly tilted up the entire time.
Donovan drove with a smile on his face.
Back at the hillside villa, they saw Maya tidying up.
Seeing a familiar face, Chloe was delighted.
"You're back, Maya. How did your son do on his exams?" Chloe asked, standing in Maya's room.
"He did well. After the exams, he went to work," Maya said happily while folding clothes. "Once he's in college, I'm counting on him to quickly find a girlfriend for me. If he waits until after graduation, it'll be too late."
Chloe burst out laughing. "Why are you in such a hurry? Every generation has its own happiness. You don't need to worry so much about the younger ones."
"You don't understand. My son is very handsome. In high school, he received love letters every day. After the college entrance exams, we had a whole stack of them at home," Maya said, not feeling proud but somewhat worried. "With a boy looking like that, how can I not worry?"
"Maya, I think you're not worried but showing off. I hope my son will be like that too," Chloe said before heading upstairs.
After a little outing, she felt much better.
Although seeing Gordon still made her uncomfortable, it was much better than right after giving birth.
It's summer, and the days are long.
One evening at seven, after dinner, Maya was in the yard cleaning up some trash to sell.
The doorbell rang, and Brayden and Carol came in together.
Seeing them, Chloe was amazed while Donovan sat calmly on the couch.
He never really looked at Brayden, and now that Chloe had given birth, he liked Brayden even less.
Carol came under the pretense of thanking Chloe but mainly wanted to express her gratitude to Donovan.
"Chloe, thanks to your advice, I went to Brayden's office. I'm here today to thank you for giving me an effective method. I have orders now. You have no idea, I didn't have a single project for a while, and I was so anxious that I was losing my hair," Carol said.
"That's good," Chloe replied, noticing Brayden with his head down, feeling a bit awkward.
Chloe seemed like she was introducing two useful people to each other just to solve her own troubles.
