Chapter 559 The Two Have Not Remarried Yet

Just as the three were chatting, someone knocked on the door and came in. It was a driver arranged by Donovan. "Mrs. Blake, Mr. Blake has instructed me to see what you need to move. I'll handle it for you."

Chloe then panicked, stood up, and looked around. She gave some unnecessary items to William and Isabel. In short, that night became very rushed.

Chloe soon went to Maple Valley and registered at Hudson University

Jane came to see Chloe, to bring clothes for Maya on that day when Donovan was also home.

Chloe's return brought immense joy to Francis, who has been skipping around with glee all day.

When Donovan saw Jane arrive, he went upstairs, leaving space for Chloe and Jane.

Maya tried on the clothes, which fit perfectly, making her quite happy.

Up to now, Maya thought Chloe was too embarrassed to apologize to her directly and had specifically asked Jane to mediate. Maya didn't know Jane's real intention was to be with Jeffery. The two got along well through this matter without any awkwardness.

"Send Jeffery a message on WhatsApp and tell him I bought Maya some clothes." Jane said, nudging Chloe's arm.

"Can't you send it yourself?" Chloe asked.

"I don't have his contact on WhatsApp."

Chloe thought, 'I rarely take the initiative to message Jeffery on WhatsApp. This time, I can use it to ease our relationship.'

Just as Chloe was about to phrase the message, Jane said, "When you mention me, make sure Jeffery calls me by my name."

Chloe : [Jeffery, I’ve transferred to Hudson University. Just got back. Jane bought Maya some clothes, and Maya really likes them. Maya also likes Jane a lot.]

Jeffery was probably in training and only replied at lunchtime: [Who is Jane?]

Chloe: [Jane is an OB-GYN and was also my attending physician.]

Chloe didn't mention that Jane was her college classmate, fearing Jeffery would be prejudiced against Jane's age from the start.

Donovan didn't come downstairs until lunchtime.

Jane suddenly asked, "Have you two remarried yet?"

Chloe awkwardly glanced at Donovan, "Not yet."

"As for the divorce, when do we plan to remarry?" Donovan asked as he looked up at Chloe.

"I haven't thought about it yet." Chloe hadn't considered it; she had been too busy these days.

"How about going after lunch?" Donovan asked.

"Okay, that's fine." Chloe said.

Donovan went upstairs to get the divorce papers, placing them on the coffee table, waiting for Chloe to finish eating.

Unexpectedly, Cynthia arrived, looking very urgent.

Seeing Hillside Villa which belonged to Chloe and Donovan for the first time, Cynthia felt very uncomfortable.

The house was located in Maple Valley's top-notch wealthy neighborhood, and the decoration was understated and luxurious. If Cynthia had tried harder back then, all of this could have been hers.

"Donovan, Chloe, I'm sorry to intrude. Janet has acute gastroenteritis. The police called me because I adopted Jake. I don't know Janet, and Chloe, you still have some paperwork at school. Larry asked me to bring it to you." Cynthia looked like she was about to jump up urgently. "I didn't tell Jake about Janet, fearing he would worry."

As she spoke, Cynthia handed the documents from her bag to Chloe.

Chloe looked at them; they were important documents she hadn't expected.

The truth was that the police did call Cynthia today because Donovan had reported to the police about giving Jake to Cynthia and the police wanted a family member to check on Janet, so they called Cynthia.

According to Cynthia, she had no obligation to go since she wasn't related to Janet. Cynthia didn't want to come but wanted to see Donovan's home. She also learned that Chloe had transferred to Maple Valley. Cynthia admired Donovan's capabilities and often imagined how wonderful it would be to be the one receiving his attention and care.

Driven by her curiosity and admiration for Donovan, Cynthia wanted to visit Hillside Villa and frequently looked for excuses to spend time with him.

"Really?" Chloe asked. Although Chloe still held a grudge against Cynthia for past actions, she didn't think the police would lie. As always, human life was the most important.

Moreover, Chloe didn't want Cynthia to stay at Hillside Villa too long, saying, "You should go with Cynthia, we'll talk about remarriage later."

Cynthia glanced over and saw the divorce papers on the coffee table, realizing they hadn't remarried yet.
