Chapter 440 You're Really Good at Seducing Others

Donovan didn't go home; instead, he walked slowly with Francis through Pearl Peak City University.

He was sending WhatsApp messages.

"Dad, where are we going?" Francis asked Donovan, clearly unhappy.

"To see Mr. Reynolds."

"Who is he?"

"He's a student of your great-grandpa."

"My great-grandpa has students? That makes him like Chloe. They are both billionaire," Francis said with genuine envy.

"Chloe?" Donovan raised an eyebrow.

He didn't know about her academic achievements, but she was certainly good at seducing people.

The only relationship she acknowledged in her life was with Andrew.

So what was she to him? Submissive to his power?

Being with him, she left nothing but Francis and the death of a daughter.

Donovan didn't have Oscar's WhatsApp contact. He had to ask around to get it, and then he told Oscar that he would visit his house tonight.

Oscar was extremely flattered. Not only was Donovan the highly esteemed grandson of Kenneth, someone Oscar deeply respected, but he was also a renowned entrepreneur in Maple Valley. Throughout the years, both Oscar and Donovan had heard about each other but had never before made contact.

Oscar lived in Tranquil Haven Estates. He quickly had his wife tidy up the house and brew some coffee. His wife went out for a walk to give them some space to talk.

"Mr. Reynolds, it's been a while," Donovan said as he entered, surveying everything in the house. "So this is what the staff housing at Pearl Peak City University looks like."

"Yes, it's quite cozy," Oscar said, following Donovan's gaze around the room. "Are you looking at houses for someone?"

"No, just looking around."

"Sorry for the mess. Don't mind it. I had settled outside, but my son got into a university out of town, and I still have students to teach, so I moved back to the school for convenience. My wife doesn't have to cook for me every day; I just eat at the cafeteria. The last time I saw you, you were about your son's age. So many years have passed. Is this your son?"

"Yes," Donovan replied, then turned to Francis and said. "Francis, say hello to Mr. Reynolds."

"My dad says that you're a billionaire. I should learn from you," Francis said charmingly.

Oscar didn't know what "billionaire" meant, but he laughed heartily. "Your dad is the real billionaire; not many people don't know that."

"I heard you set Jeffery up with a girlfriend," Donovan said.

"Yes, Chloe, a Ph.D. who just returned from abroad. She's teaching now, working under Zachary with graduate students. My student Jeffery had no scandals throughout his four years of college, despite many girls chasing him. He finally likes someone, and she's so impressive. How could I not help them out?" Oscar said, clearly proud of his matchmaking.

"Don't help them anymore. Chloe is my wife."

Oscar fell silent.

His face turned grim, and he awkwardly took a sip of his tea.

Francis looked at Donovan in surprise, thinking, 'Has Dad come to his senses?'

"But I've already helped them," Oscar said, troubled.

"It's okay. Just don't help them anymore."

"I'm sorry, Donovan. We didn't know about Chloe's family situation or that she was your..." Oscar's gaze fell on Francis.

His mind was filled with numerous questions, such as who the mother of Donovan's child was and when Chloe became Donovan's wife.

But since Donovan had made it clear about Chloe and Jeffery, he couldn't push it further.

Besides, he was just a teacher and hadn't intentionally pushed them together.
