It was also today that Cynthia went to invest in the Stellar Corp and found Timothy, but Timothy did not know her.
"Who are you?" That day, Cynthia stood high at the top of building, and Timothy did not see her clearly.
"I am Cynthia, a colleague of Chloe. I came here today specifically to apologize . Yesterday, I didn't think much and only considered that Chloe works in this building, so I came. I didn't mean to cause you any concern." Cynthia said.
Thinking about yesterday's incident, Timothy was still a bit unsettled. If it affected the property prices, Timothy might really have to jump off a building.
Timothy was quite polite to Cynthia, probably thinking that someone as desperate as her might have a change of heart again even though she backed out yesterday.
"What happened to you yesterday?" Timothy asked.
"Nothing, just having a bit of a conflict with someone. My past was brought up, and I wanted revenge. I was too impulsive at the time. Later, Chloe talked me through it, and I calmed down. She advised me not to do it again, and I said I would try my best." Cynthia said with deep sadness.
Although Cynthia's tone was gentle, Timothy still sensed a different meaning that Cynthia would try not to do it again, but it might still happen, which left Timothy at a loss.
After Cynthia left, Timothy kept considering whether to allow Chloe to work at the Stellar Corp. Logically, Chloe had been doing well, but Timothy was afraid that the jumping might happen again. The Rebecca Residential Community was to become the largest community, and if such a jumping incident occurred, the entire Stellar Corp would collapse. Timothy still vividly remembered how Gordon was driven mad by a similar incident.
But Donovan has the final say on Chloe's stay or departure.
Donovan had gone back to Maple Valley today, and this matter was not suitable to discuss over the phone, so Timothy thought he should sneak around about it.
After Jane returned to Maple Valley, Chloe lived a few uneventful days.
On Saturday, following Jane's instructions, Chloe returned to Maple Valley without informing Donovan in advance. Maya was slightly surprised but also somewhat distant when she opened the door for Chloe. "Mrs. Blake?"
Chloe nodded with a smile.
Just then, Donovan came downstairs, also slightly surprised to see Chloe. "Coming home on your own? Here to see Francis?"
"I missed you and Francis, so I came back. Where's Francis?" Chloe casually placed her luggage on the sofa.
"Francis is playing in the bedroom upstairs. Francis, your mom is back." Donovan called upstairs.
Then, Donovan came downstairs, sat on the sofa, picking up a book to read. Chloe sat beside him.
Chloe heard the sound of running, and then Francis rushed into her arms.
"Mom, Mom, you're back? Dad said you wouldn't be back for a while." Francis said, looking up with a smiling face, making Chloe's heart feel so soft.
"Francis, I'm back now. I bought you a toy. Go play." Chloe said, stroking Francis's head and handing him the toy.
Francis happily took the toy to his room to play.
Chloe had gotten up early this morning, and it was not yet noon, so she hadn't had lunch yet.
She received a message on WhatsApp.
Jane: [Chloe, have you returned to Maple Valley?]
Chloe: [Just arrived.]
Jane: [Good, I'll be there shortly.]
Chloe thought Jane was serious.
Sure enough, not long after, Jane arrived with large bags of things.
Seeing Jane, Donovan understood everything.
