Time flew by.
The seasons changed. The buds blossomed and the leaves fell.
Francis slowly learned to speak, took his first steps, and called out "Daddy." He had become an endearing little boy.
Since Chloe's departure, Donovan had dismissed everyone in the household except Maya, hiring a new nanny to assist her. No one mentioned Chloe anymore.
Maya's primary responsibility now was caring for Francis.
In the second year after Chloe left, Logan and Sofia got married.
Chloe didn't leave any messages for Sofia, leaving her heartbroken and disappointed.
Sofia felt abandoned, convinced that Chloe had never truly valued their friendship. Chloe's silence spoke volumes, suggesting that she had never considered Sofia a true friend.

In a smaller company, formal education was less critical, and with Sofia and Logan's romance blossoming, she would soon become the boss' wife. The prospect of managing Logan's fortune, free from corporate constraints, tempted Sofia to make the move. They got married before she officially joined Logan's company.
Donovan officiated the wedding.
In Maple Valley, Logan was just another entrepreneur, but Donovan was a big deal. Many guests, like Gary and Sharon from Elevate Structures Group, came just to see Donovan. They wanted to collaborate with New East Group and took the chance to chat with him briefly.
Donovan, however, remained impassive. He was physically present but seemed distant, as if his mind was somewhere far away.
Watching Sofia and Logan on stage, Donovan thought, 'Chloe and I never have a wedding.' Now divorced, there was no need for one.
Chloe's heartlessness was truly remarkable. It wasn't enough that she had been cruel to him; she had also shown no interest in Francis.
In Chloe's eyes, neither he nor Francis held any real significance.
Donovan had tried to erase Chloe from his mind, but it was as if she were a persistent wound, growing larger and consuming his entire heart.
To make matters worse, Francis, who resembled Chloe so closely, served as a constant reminder of what he had lost.
That evening, while Logan and Sofia counted the wedding gifts, they were astonished to find that the total amount exceeded their expectations by over a hundred thousand dollars.
Logan knew these people came for Donovan. Donovan had once invested five million dollars in Logan's company, which paid off when their game tied to a crime drama series became a hit.
Despite the financial windfall, Logan never forgot Donovan's generous and unselfish support. It only deepened his respect and gratitude towards Donovan. Although Logan never voiced these feelings to Donovan, he held Donovan in high regard.
Logan knew Donovan loved Chloe. Though he once had a crush on her, he would never take Donovan's wife. Besides, Sofia was great. So, Logan married Sofia, and they soon had a son named Loren Parker, a name given by Donovan, who became Loren's godfather.
Sofia and Logan often visited Donovan and occasionally asked about Chloe. Donovan's response was always curt. "Don't mention her."
He harbored a deep-seated hatred for her.
