Chloe's eyes were red, looking out the window.
She was the one who had been wronged in this situation. Amelia's tragic passing and the threats she faced only added to her distress. She couldn't help but question what she had done to deserve such mockery and hardship.

"You came to Pearl Peak City University because Cynthia introduced you?" Donovan remembered that Chloe had mentioned someone had referred her to Pearl Peak City University last time.

"Where are we going to eat?" he asked again.
"Well, I'm not sure. If you agree, I'll tell her." Chloe lowered her head and took out her phone, ready to send Cynthia a message.
"I haven't decided whether to go. You can ask her where to eat first." Donovan's tone softened slightly.
Chloe asked Cynthia on WhatsApp. [I'm at the Stellar Corp today to sign a contract and ran into Donovan. He asked where you're going to eat.]
When Cynthia saw the message, she was in class. Her phone was on the desk to check the time and was on silent mode. Generally, college professors are not allowed to make calls or send messages during class.

Chloe saw Cynthia's message and frowned slightly, thinking, 'Is Cynthia afraid of socializing? Why does she insist on having me join for the meal with Donovan?'
"Is something bothering you?" Donovan asked, seeing Chloe frown in the rearview mirror.
"Cynthia asked if Savoria Bistro is okay, and..." Chloe hesitated.
