After getting into bed, Donovan's body pressed against Chloe's, his warmth seeping through her back, making her feel cozy all over.
"Don't you know who I love?" Donovan murmured behind Chloe, his breath tickling her neck.

"Logan told me. I asked him, and he couldn't hide it, so he told me," Chloe said, eating with a somber expression.
Sofia was startled. "He told you?"
Chloe nodded.
"Chloe, don't be sad. I know Grandma Morgan died miserably. Barbara stood by and did nothing, deliberately letting the fire burn Grandma Morgan to death. And Paisley, sending flammable and explosive materials to Barbara—these two people are beyond redemption," Sofia said, holding Chloe's arm. "Chloe, stay strong!"
Chloe froze in shock. She had long suspected that Grandma Morgan's death was not simple, but she hadn't expected it to be so tragic.
Barbara and Paisley deserved to die.
Chloe's hands were trembling. Just now, Paisley had left Donovan's office with a smug smile.
